THE POLICE CAME ! do not eat here! We sat for 2 hours and got 0 service.... Sorry... they started us... that's all. I had to get up multiple times to ask for a drink and order food. Luckily I smelled the food at the food bar bcuz it was spoiled... and the plates and bowls were dirty ( which is why I decided to smell the food before putting it on my plate ) when we asked for a manger to discuss the bill they kept saying there's no manger at all... they had gone home. finally someone came out because we had expressed our frustration and the only thing they could offer us was 10% off of our bill and this is after we had a back and fourth with the server. So I stated get the manager on the phone or I'm calling the health department in the morning since the food at the bar is spoiled. The server proceeds to tell us that he came by and nobody said that they needed help and I told him no you walked by one time in the last two hours and when I raised my hand ...when you walked by the first and only time... You didn't see me and you never came back. Either way service is asking your customers if they need anything, most importantly it's asking if we need another round of food since this is an all you can eat establishment and you have to order your meat from the server. He then tells me that they were busy and I said there is 2 servers plus the owner and six tables ... right now there is us and one other table and we still haven't been helped ... he said well we have a lot of tables to clean and I told him we have been sitting here for two hours, All those tables left one hour ago and you haven't bussed one table and on top of that they have a bus boy. Then the owner comes out from hiding and starts yelling at us about how he's giving us 10% off the total bill and we have so much food left over and we tried telling him we have food left over because we lost our appetite and we're actually gonna leave and go get food somewhere else because we're still hungry. We drove an hour away and we're celebrating a-year-old's birthday... we also told him that we're not trying to leave without paying the bill. We just wanna pay a fair price on the bill because we ate less than half of what we would have eaten if we had gotten service. The OWNER proceeds to pull out his phone and starts recording us with children at the table and so we say if you're going to record us at least let us explain what happened and he said no just tell the camera that you're not paying the bill and he's so angry he's pushing bowls with hot soup off the table and it spills on someone carrying a baby... and not once did he ask if the person carrying the baby was ok or if the baby was OK? .. that's when I decided to call the police to help us de-escalate the situation and come to an agreement. Shout out to the police department because they were very understanding they even helped us try to come to an agreement about paying a fair price for what we had consumed. In the end we had already been there for three hours , We had an hour drive back plus we have to make food for ourselves and the kids because we didn't eat... that I just paid the bill. They ended up giving us a $34 discount but our bill was over $300.... The alcohol we consumed was still full because we only took one shot each... we had every intention of finishing our food and our alcohol, but we were so turned off by the service. We were a party of five adults and five kids. All the adults at the table are either restaurant general managers or servers so we understand how sometimes you get busy and you forget to check on the table or you get two backed up that it takes a lot for you to come back but for two hours? We were discussing if we should say anything or not because I am the only one who speaks up for bad service everyone else at the table lets it slide, but it was so bad today that everyone wanted to speak up . the final straw is when I had to get up to ask for hot water for the baby's formula and they said they don't have hot water, that's when I asked to speak to the manager and this whole situation got crazy. read more

We constantly had to try to track down the server to order, they forgot things we ordered, brought the wrong drink, kept telling us things "were coming", after a VERY long wait. In the middle of our dinner, the server told us she had to help someone else and did not designate a replacement, so we had to try to track down who would now be our server. I couldn't even focus on the food or surroundings because of how terrible our service was. The host was nice and seated us quickly after using their kiosk to check in. That is where the service stopped. We sat and when our waiter came we told him that we've never been here before so obviously we didn't know how the place operated. We went with young children who didn't know how to use chopsticks and chasing him down 30 minutes later for a fork. The bus boys didn't speak English so they weren't able to assist us. The BBQ portions of meats were quite large. We were full after one round (3 items). Some meats were not the most tender. I was a bit disappointed with the salad bar. The sushi isn't good. First of all, the atmosphere is very dark and feels more like a bar than a restaurant. The meat was extremely tough and chewy, almost like plastic or rubber, and was basically impossible to eat. We ordered brisket, but about 30% of it was pure fat, so we had to cut it with scissors while eating. We chose the all-you-can-eat option that included both Korean BBQ and shabu-shabu, but the shabu-shabu meat was just as tough and rubbery. We ended up ordering it only once and left most of it uneaten without getting a refill. This was honestly the first time I had ever eaten at an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant without getting a refill. However, the biggest problem was that the restaurant's air conditioning was not working. With the weather being this hot, it was unbearable to sit at a table with a hot grill in front of us and eat while sweating. And since the meat was so tough that we could barely eat it anyway, my family decided to ask for the check and leave. Even that turned into a frustrating experience. It took 25 minutes just to get the check. We asked the same employee more than four times, but eventually they brought us the check for the table next to us, which was a huge amount because it was for a birthday party. After explaining that they had given us the wrong check, we waited another 10 minutes before finally paying and leaving. I don't think we will ever come back. No matter how good the food might be, I honestly can't imagine anyone wanting to sit in front of a hot grill and eat while sweating in this kind of heat. When I complained about the air conditioning while paying, the employee actually looked like they were struggling to work without AC as well and told me to complain to the manager standing right next to them. A group of friends and I got there around 7:15 pm and were told it would be a 15 minute wait. We then proceeded to wait almost 30 min to be seated, which was fine since it was Friday night. However, once the hostess sat my group (all 4 of us), she left without a word and no one came to take our order for another 20 minutes. We flagged down our hostess and another waiter, but they ignored us. This would've been okay if it was super busy, but it wasn't. We were starving and decided to just go up to the buffet and flag someone down there. Once we finally put in our order, the server turned on the grill and hotpot flame. We sat there for another 20 minutes waiting for the food to come out. I also thought it was weird to have an open flame on with no soup pot for that long. The meat portions are VERY generous. The quality was okay, a bit more on the fatty side for most meats. If you do get the shabu, I would recommend the spicy seafood broth. The lighting is super dim inside. We had to use our phone flashlights to see if our meat was cooked. The smoke also got really bad because the vent isn't very strong and we were ignored AGAIN when asking for a grill change. After coming to this restaurant for about 10 years, tonight was officially my last visit. What is most disappointing is that the new server was not even the real problem. Our server was clearly brand new, overwhelmed, and apparently given one of the busiest tables. Our meats came out extremely late, the service was slow, and our beers were warm. We understood. People are new. Restaurants get busy. Servers need time to learn. I have worked in the restaurant industry before, so none of that alone would have made me leave a one-star review. The problem was the way management handled what should have been a very simple situation. I told the owner/manager that our beers were warm. Her response was essentially that it was the same beer. I explained that I understood that, but both beers were warm, and asked if we could switch to bottled beer instead. She said yes. We were then brought three bottles of Terra. The employee who delivered them quietly apologized and specifically told us, "These are on the house because the server is new." We told him we completely understood. We already knew the server was new and were not upset with him. Problem solved. Or so we thought. When the check came, all three Terra beers were charged to us. I approached the manager and explained that her employee had specifically told us the beers were complimentary. Instead of saying, "Let me check on that," or simply resolving the misunderstanding, she immediately became defensive and repeatedly insisted that her employee would never say that. She kept saying things like, "He's a good kid. He wouldn't do that." Nobody said he was a bad kid. In fact, he was one of the only people actually trying to provide good customer service. He saw the new server struggling and apparently tried to make things right. Then the situation became completely ridiculous. The manager decided to Instagram call the employee after he had already left work and wanted me to speak to him over the phone about whether he had comped the beers. Seriously? I came to have dinner. I did not come to participate in an interrogation over three bottles of beer. To make it even more awkward, when the employee originally brought the beers over, he told us not to say anything and even put his finger to his mouth in a "shhh" gesture. Whatever communication problems are happening between management and employees are not the customer's problem. If an employee is not allowed to comp drinks, train your employees. If management does not know what employees are telling customers, communicate with your staff. If there is a misunderstanding, fix it professionally. What you do not do is argue with a customer, essentially accuse them of lying, call an off-the-clock employee on Instagram, and turn three beers into a confrontation. Eventually, the manager removed the beers from the bill. Exactly what should have happened in the first place. But by then, the entire experience had already been ruined. That is what makes this situation so ridiculous. This could have been resolved in 30 seconds: "Sorry about the warm beers and the wait. Those bottles are on us tonight." Done. Instead, management turned a minor service issue into an uncomfortable argument and lost customers who had supported this restaurant for approximately 10 years. That is terrible management. Again, I am not leaving one star because the server was new. I am not leaving one star because the food was late. I am not leaving one star because the beer was warm. I am leaving one star because of the manager's attitude, defensiveness, lack of professionalism, and complete inability to handle a very simple customer-service issue. The entire atmosphere changed because of her energy and the way she approached us. If this is how billing disputes are handled here, I would strongly recommend that customers review their receipts carefully before paying. Make sure you were charged correctly. Make sure anything you were told was complimentary was actually removed. Make sure any promised adjustments are actually reflected on the bill. Because apparently questioning your own check can turn into an investigation. After 10 years of loyalty, I am done. Not because of the new server. Because the person who should have known how to de-escalate the situation was the person who made it substantially worse. Bad management can ruin a restaurant faster than a new server ever could. Once I arrived the parking lot is pretty big and it's in a lot with other stores located in the left in the corner. Once inside, they had A LOT of tables to seat over 100 people. We were seated towards the back and walked passed all the buffet food. They had fruits, rice, noodles and SUSHI! We then sat down and chose the kbbq and the shabu shabu menu. We ordered meat for both and then went to the buffet to load up. I tried all the sushi and it was okay... Wasn't the greatest but it's sushi.. we also cooked the meat we ordered for kbbq while our soup was heating up. We then cooked the soup with the veggies and meat. The kbbq meat was very good, flavorful and they had many options. The shabu shabu was okay, the broth wasn't phenomenal but you would need to cook the veggies and meat in it to flavor it. All in all I felt like I was overwhelmed with all the food options. I got full fairly quickly. If you're starving this will be the place for you. The thin-sliced pork belly was another classic hit, cooking up beautifully with just the right balance of fat and crisp. We also did shabu shabu, choosing both the sukiyaki and the regular beef soup base. The beef soup base was clean and comforting, while the sukiyaki leaned a bit too sweet for my taste. Having both grill and hot pot going at the same table felt indulgent in the best way. When we arrived, there wasn't many people there, so we were served very quickly. A+ menu: Kbbq AND shabu + buffet. B menu: Kbbq OR shabu + buffet. B+ menu: Kbbq AND shabu + buffet. Both B menus have more meat options. We opted for the A menu since that's what we were in the mood for, and most of the meats we wanted were already included. The experience was decent overall, but not particularly memorable. The meats were just okay -- they didn't seem to be the highest quality. It would've been nice if the flavors were a bit more bold or varied. As for the buffet, it's fairly limited. There's a small salad bar with a few sushi pieces, some fruit, and jello. While it's a nice touch, I wish they had a few more dessert options or at least a variety of jello flavors to keep things interesting. Service was fine and the space was clean, but with so many similar spots in the area, I'm not sure I'd rush back.
