I had to move and I miss BZs pizza very much! I'm surprised how many just ok pizzas exist on my new side of town.

We had the pizza Which was good but very overpriced.. The staff was not wearing masks. Responsible business owners that are considerate and appreciative of their customers should take the extra measures to protect them. We Can all agree that there is some uncertainty regarding Covid. When it comes to most restaurants in town, they have almost always aired on the side of caution. This restaurant does not. For that reason we will not return. read more

We came here when it first opened up at their new location. Mike knows us by name and it's such a welcoming environment! The food is absolutely amazing! We've tried so many items on the menu and it never disappoints. Mike recommends the best beers to us and it's a fun environment. We will continue coming here on a regular basis. Ok. So hidden gem here, folks! To say this is a pizza place is underestimating it, for sure. I am sure the pizza is fantastic, but the homemade absolutely delicious italian food is what we had. Try the cioppino, the linguini with clams, the meatball sub, the antipasto salad, and for heavens sake, save room for the desserts! The food was fantastic. I had the pleasure of dining here with my husband, daughter and father...I've become a fan of this place over the past year or so. I will admit, my 1st dining experience started out rocky, but I just had to find what I like to eat....and I have!! This place has the BEST Meatiest wings I have ever had. We all devour them....They are delicious. The variety of the craft beers is phenomenal!! ----And I believe the nice man with the unbelievable knowledge of beer--his name is Mike??? We had been to their former location and been happy with the pizza. Now they have moved and I don't want to necessarily say they are reinvented, but the new space is way cooler than the last and there seems to be more focus on being a "destination". Not quite sure what I mean by that yet, but hang with me and, by the time I finish, it may make more sense to you... and to me. Let's start with the bar. They have a very good selection of beer on tap (24 if I recall right) as well as wine and a full bar. The Odell Myrcenary and Dragoon IPA's that I had were served VERY COLD and were a perfect pairing with the mango habanero wings I ordered. Speaking of wings - I asked for the wings extra crispy and they came out cooked perfectly. When I see the combination of habanero and mango on a menu I tend to shy away because it's hard to balance the two. They achieved the perfect balance of spicy habanero and sweet mango. I would definitely get those wings again. The other nice thing was that they let us split the sauces on the order or wings, so my wife could get her half with BBQ sauce, which she said was quite good... and she is not usually a huge wing fan. I did something I hardly ever do... I let my wife be completely in control (we are sometimes like mango and habanero - guess which one is which). I told her she could order whatever kind of pizza she wanted and I wouldn't second guess her choice. She settled on ham and pineapple. What a great choice! The pineapple was more like tidbits than chunks, the ham was slightly caramelized from the heat of the oven, the sauce and cheese was perfect and it all sat atop a nice CRISPY crust. This was some righteous pizza. We were waited on by a gentleman who, I assume, is one of the owners. I don't want to say he was aloof, because he was friendly but seemed disinterested in serving tables. Back to my "destination" comment. Because of the large menu, the quality of the food, the bar, the numerous TV's throughout the place and general vibe, BZ's seems like a place to go catch a game or go on a Friday or Saturday night when you just don't want to worry about counting calories and just enjoy yourself. read more

Ok, at the risk of getting flamed, I tend to be one of those guys who does pizza only as a last resort. For me, it's sort of the "I give up" food, like when you're installing flooring all day, have a ravenous appetite and have no will or energy to cook and don't look decent enough to go out. Then it's pizza. "What shall we eat?" "I guess it will need to be pizza or something." "(Groooaaannn) Yes, I suppose so." Maybe it's because I'm not from NY or Chicago. Or maybe because I ate so much bad cheap pizza at various birthday parties and would rather eat black licorice than more of that crappy pizza. In any event, we ended up "having" to do pizza a couple of nights ago, so we ordered a special at the nearby BZ, along with an order of bruschetta. One word: "Holy!" (That would have been more descriptive had I not limited myself to one word.) This is good stuff. Like seriously good food, with good taste, texture, presentation. This is on a par with actual foodie food, and may have actually turned me into a pizza fan! So count me now as a fan of BZ. I think we shall give it another go right now! read more

I REALLY wanted to like this place my philosophy is you cannot fuck up a pizza. I ordered a bud light and the waiter didn't even card me I had JUST turned 21 and I was very surprised. We ordered a starter of wings half buffalo and half garlic parm the buffalo ones were pretty good not too hot but just enough to burn a little. The garlic ones however were like someone dipped the wings in Alfredo sauce. It was gross. Our waiter was also the hostess she was running around like crazy. She was good about drinks but I ordered the Bz special I believe it called that comes with sausage, pepperoni, onion and peppers. I asked for "half with no peppers and onions." When it came out one half had onion and the other peppers. I asked another waiter since ours had been absent for 5-10 min and told her the order wasn't right. Then our waiter showed up and asked so you want half without peppers and onions? And I told her yes. When she came around and apologized later she smelled like vodka and cigarettes. Now that I can walk to BZ's as easily as I can walk to my mail box I just had to pay them a visit. I was a bit disappointed to see that they weren't expanding like I originally thought, just moving, so everything is more or less the same. The first thing that always catches my eye is all the local art. Good or bad, they could certainly be described as conversation pieces and everyone in my family has a favorite painting. It definitely gives the place some character. For my most recent visit, I decided to try their chicken alfredo. It was excellent, and yes, pricey at fifteen dollars before tax and tip, but at least in this case the portions were fair and I ended up taking half of it home. I've also tried the meat lovers pizza. It was great; nice and flaky, full of flavor, pretty much anything you'd want from a pizza, but after reading all these amazing reviews I was expecting to be blown away but I simply wasn't. It was a step above Pizza Hut and similar offerings for sure, but only a step, not a leap, and the price goes up with the quality. A large pizza and two sodas set me back nearly twenty five dollars before the tip, and for what I paid I feel like the portions were a bit on the small side. I think BZ's would have left a better impression if it were cheaper, but the quality's there, give them a try. read more

I loved BZ's old location but thought it was great that they were expanding. However, since our first visit in the new location, I've been rather dissappointed. I really liked the vibe of the old location. It was small but cozy with dim lighting and a nice bar area. It always had good music too. The new one has harsh flourescent lighting and feels like a diner. Even worse, the pizza seems to have changed. Well, at least the crust is different. It was thin crust before but now it always seems to be undercooked and flimsy. It's also ubsurdly greasy. I've tried about 3 times at the new location and it hasn't tasted the same. I was hoping it was just in my head but it really isn't worth it for what you pay now. It's still decent and people who never went to the old location may find their food to be good. Like I said, I'm just dissappointed. read more

I am so glad we went out of our comfort zone and gave this place a try because it was so good!! I really liked that the owner was there and that he socialized with the guests. We shared the fruit and cheese appetizer along with the portobello ravioli dish... AMAZING! The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The owner let us know that all the food is prepared in-house from scratch, which you can totally taste. The only flaw was that the inside of the restaurant could definitely use some sprucing up; it kind of does a disservice to the beautiful food. But overall, this place was great and leagues ahead of any generic "Italian restaurant" chain. We'll definitely be back soon! read more

I'm at a 5 for the food.Chef cooked scratch kitchen.Very very rare to find in my opinion.So far I've enjoyed the Shrimp Alfredo...excellent,Individual Pizza....excellent, Spaghetti and meatballs is excellent,Chicken Pesto sandwich...excellent and the Rasberry Salad is excellent.Homemade salad dressings are excellent.I only wish for a woman's touch as to the decor and general aesthetics of the dining room.Please get a woman in there to decorate the dining room.I can overlook it because the kitchen is doing an excellent job.Thank You BZ's read more

What a surprise! My husband suggested we go out for dinner and he really wanted to find a Pizza And type place close to home. As I searched I found BZ's. We bring had calzones on the mind and that's what we had. His - meatball and onion, mine - pepperoni and sausage. The calzones were delicious; the marinara was over the top. BZ is one of those don't judge a book by its cover, type places. My mom wanted to take my brother and I to lunch and being a pizza fanatic she chose this new pizza place. We got a large pie, and a calzone and my son had the spaghetti. My calzone was delicious, and my mom and brother loved the pizza! And the decorations inside were awesome, they have a bar and an arcade room! We will be coming back for sure! read more

Went in with my wife last night for some pizza. We used to go to BZ's at their old location, as well. Wasn't too crowed. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. On top of that the glass of beer was cold and filled to the top. Always a plus. The pizza (I just got peperoni and my wife got cheese with roasted tomatoes), was great. So were the garlic knots. The only suggestion I would have is the guys in the kitchen need to be cognizant of the fact people in the dining area can hear their language. There was also a couple of guys hanging out in the dining area (customers), who had foul mouths. That has a way of running people off -- especially if they have kids. read more

Diggin it! This place is not the easiest of finds but for a low key bar for football, a night out enjoying some jazz on Tuesdays, or just looking for some good company this is a great place to go. We stopped in on our hunt for Mudsharks Lunacy and HALLELUJAH we found the promise land! It's not served in your standard 12 oz cup, like we found at World of Beer, but it's still a great beer. We also found enjoyment out of the selection the personable Mike has to offer. He prides the place in having some unique beers and while there are a majority of IPAs he also caters some porters, great sours, and beers of the month so to say. We ended up going for some bread knots and a half n half pizza. The garlic notes were really yummy although the cheese melt could have been better distributed as well as a cheese that melts better. The pizza, cheese and pesto chicken, was great! Not overly sauced but great flavor and I loved that I could have my pesto base while hubby got the tomato spread. To top it all off Mike, owner and bartender, struck as a genuinely nice guy that will take care of his customers and their needs which should be a given but isn't. If you are looking to feed only one or two people, be prepared to shell out some $$. One large pizza, no toppings = $16. Two large pizzas each w/ 1 topping + 2 liter = $22. (for toppings, they charge $1 per veggie and $2 for meats) (2 liters are normally $2) That is $6 (2x toppings +2 liter). You pretty much get a whole large pizza for free with that deal. It sounds good but that shows how hugely inflated the price of the single pie is. Great if you are feeding a whole family, bad if you are feeding two people. The two personal pizzas for $9 deal is a start, but those pizzas are maybe equal to about one large slice each. That equates to $4.50 for a large slice. Yikes. We just moved in our new home and wanted to find a local pizza place that we can depend on nights we don't have energy to cook. We found it! I'm sorry we were so hungry we forgot to take pictures :( We kept it really simple because of the kids and only got pepperoni pizza and knots, both were great.
