    1. Bún Cá cay Hải Phòng (Spice Hai Phong Vemicelli Fish)
    Cindy L.

Came here with my dad and had a good experience. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and even has a market inside, which makes it feel unique. There's also a wide variety of menu options to choose from. The staff were friendly and provided good service throughout our visit. I ordered the Cơm Gà Hải Nam (Hainanese Chicken Rice), while my dad had the Bún Cá Cay Hải Phòng (Spicy Hai Phong Fish Vermicelli). Both dishes were delicious and very filling. The Hainanese chicken rice was my favorite. The rice was especially flavorful. My dad's fish vermicelli had a rich, tasty broth, although the fish itself was a little on the salty side.

Nice and big of seating area. The place is in the food court in the back of the market. Parking is nice and easy since it also in the back and convenient to go shopping prior or after at the market and eat here. Service is nice and friendly, food menu is small but plenty of try. Quality is good and well seasoned plus portion is nicely generous. The only thing or two that is not to my liking is the smell of the area...plenty of vendors and don't think the ventilators are working well enough. The other is the decor, abit colorful since they decor with plastic flowers/fruits trees.

I was greeted immediately after I walked in the door. The food is tasty. I need to go back and try something different. It's very pretty inside and spotless!

This is truly a hidden gem. My wife is buying stuffs in the market so I was walking around and buying lunch, then I walk past by this place. We ordered bún cá cay and bánh khọt (to go). We were surprised of how good the foods and drinks were. The soup are flavorful, I normally don't like fish but the fried fish diah comes with this soup are very flavoring and I love the dip sauce for it too. Oh, my wife loves the fruity yogurt, I recommend this and the cucumber/celery drink is refreshing on a hot day too. We planning to come back with friends soon. Btw, service lady is friendly. Place is clean and beautiful. It is a nice place to eat, drink or kick back....

A friend introduced Bun Ca Cay and we are pleasantly surprise how delicious and attentive the service were and on top of that the restaurant is clean and spacious! Had the restaurant's specialty "Bun Ca" and "Banh Khot" - wow! the flavor of the Bun Ca and the abundance of fish and fresh greeneries is on point. The Banh Khot is crispy outside and soft inside with large shrimp on top (as seen in the pic and reel) - again with plenty of veggies accompanying the dish - Love it! The waitress was super sweet, fast and gave GR8T recommendations! The management also came out to ask us if the food was good and if we needed anything else. Small gestures like that goes a long way and is memorable! GR8T job The ambiance /setting of the establishment is clean, spacious, quaint with many faux flowers and greeneries (as seen in the reel and photo). Another GR8T point to mention is that the ventilation is good! As we dine and walked out the place - our hair and clothing does not smell like the restaurant.

Pretty good. Fish sauce is flavorful. Banh khot is nice and crispy on the outside. I'm the only one here. Only one person here for service.

New restaurant opens inside and to the rear of Lucky Seafood supermarket at 12081 Brookhurst St in Garden Grove. There are several other eateries at the same location, Bún Cá Cay Hải Phòng is unique, delicious, and tasty. This restaurant is probably the only place that you can eat this unique bowl. My wife had it and she loved it. I ate the Bún Riêu Cua Đồng (including Ốc and Giò Heo). I was very satisfied and happy because Bún Riêu bowl is large, plenty of rice noodles, tasty broth, and comes with all the right ingredients that you expected. The Vietnamese iced coffe is thick, strong, authentic. The female owner and female server come by to check whether you are satisfied and need anything. That is excellent customer service. They greet customers with great smile, courtesy, and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Authentic Hai Phong food restaurant. You can find very delicious and traditional food from Northern Vietnam. The service of staff and also owner is really nice. The atmosphere here is very open and also has booth for coffee!

Best Bun Ca in town. I like my broth clean and not overly sweetened with sugar. The fried fish is on point. My go to lunch spot now after gym. Also, love the service.

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!

The servers are also super friendly and attentive, which definitely helps make the experience better. Just know that this restaurant is BUSY. Do not come expecting a quiet, slow-paced meal. The food comes out quickly, the place is loud because it's packed, and you can definitely feel the hustle and rush. But honestly? I keep craving the food here, so I brave the crowds and come back anyway. It's THAT good. One thing to note: definitely ask the servers about the menu, but don't feel like you have to order everything they recommend. Our server raved about the coconut prawns, which were $60, and unfortunately, they were not worth it for me. Long wait, loud atmosphere, questionable $60 prawns... but I'd still come back for the seafood.

They open early, making it a perfect breakfast spot for an early bowl of pho. The pho broth is exactly what I want when I'm craving comfort food--clean, flavorful, and incredibly soothing. However, the star of the meal for me was the chả giò. Wow. Although they arrived after our pho, they came out at the perfect temperature. I was hesitant to take a bite right away because freshly fried food usually burns my mouth, but these were just right. Crispy, airy, savory, and absolutely delicious. Paired with their fish sauce, it was perfection. I enjoyed the egg rolls so much that next time I'm definitely ordering the egg roll vermicelli bowl.
