I've had lunch there once, it was alright, dinner once, didn't like it-was a mixture of strange things for what I read it to be and it was also over seasoned and off tasting. Tried the soups multiple times and can't get past the second or third bite because its so salty. I know now that's how they make it, just wasn't a flook! Mixed feelings about this restaurant. Been wanting to try it for such a long time, must say first impression was disappointing.... When we first walked in, the atmosphere was very dated, lots of clutter. The dining room was very empty, which gave us an uneasy feeling, but we looked over the menu, and decided to give it a try anyways. The hostess was very friendly. We sat down, and when our waitress greeted us we were almost knocked out by awful smell of cigarette smoke. Not a good first impression... She was very nice, but had obviously just came from a smoke break, and the smell followed her around the room. It was not pleasant. My husbands prime rib was tough, and a little over cooked for a medium. My chicken cordon bleu was good. And we took pie to-go. Raspberry cream and coconut cream, both were good. The building (both inside and out) is beautiful. And the food (especially the desserts) is delicious. However the waitstaff is stretched thin (i.e. waiting 20 minutes for your order and 15 minutes for you check). And the prices are much higher than comparable restaurants in town. Our party of 4 each had an entree, we split two desserts, and we had only soft drinks. The bill? Over $85...came to $100 after the tip. That seemed excessively high to me. read more

I've been a customer at their restaurant and they catered my wedding. Restaurant Review: The menu is boring. It's been done too long. The food off the menu, however, is really tasty... with one exception. They have a beverage they call a "mocha." It is not the mocha Seattleites are used to. It is drip coffee with chocolate syrup. They should take this off the menu. It's not good. In general though, to start you get really tasty scones with even tastier raspberry jam. OMG that jam is heaven! The coffee and tea they serve are good and their service is decent. It's not a restaurant I crave but it's an acceptable choice. Catering: Their catering is really excellent. They were the only caterer I had contacted who took the time with proposals and who made communication convenient. Sondy was on it every time. Our tasting was excellent and I was flabbergasted at her service and generosity. I had very specific wants and Sondy put a lot of things in perspective so that I can have a great meal for my guests within my budget. On my wedding day, they stepped up. I didn't realize caterers did so much! The food was incredible! We had salmon and stuffed pork, Czech potatoes, two kinds of salads and some roasted veggies. Oh it was all so good! Nothing was dry or old-tasting. The best part was that they made Mikel and I to-go boxes complete with plastic cutlery and water bottles. My husband and I have enjoyed the Cabbage Patch for almost ten years now. Today we had Thanksgiving dinner at "the Patch". We had the traditional turkey dinner with "drunken yams", green beans and baby carrots, mashed potatoes and bread dressing. The green beans and carrots were fresh,, and cooked enough and maintained a nice crunch to them. The only item I was not too excited about was the "drunken yams" which were smothered in marshmallowy goo. I fished the yams out of the goo, ground some black pepper over them and then they tasted like they should! Service was prompt and friendly and the staff seemed well organized for a high volume day. Dessert is sitting in our 'fridge at home. We didn't have room to eat it, so our waitress boxed up our slices of pumpkin pie for later, which I know we'll enjoy because the "Patch" has excellent desserts. What some folks may not realize is the building in which "The Patch" is located is not an old house. In 2004 or 2005 the "Patch" was almost burned down in a devastating pre-Easter fire. The owners carefully rebuilt it - and adding to - to look as old as the neighboring structures. It's a tribute to the designers and contractors that they were able to recreate the original late 19th century house. read more

Went for breakfast today, it was our first visit. We were seated in the back room, an air vent and door to my left. The air coming from the vent smelled as if it had passed through a garbage can. The door, floor plate, and surrounding carpet looked stained with years worth of food grease. I ordered the number two - biscuit and gravy with scrambled eggs. About three bites into the gravy and I got a mouth full of gristle. At first I tried to discretely use a napkin, but there was just too much and I had to go to the men's room to clear my mouth. The men's room was disgusting. Not "missed a cleaning or two" disgusting, but "chronically neglected" disgusting. I tried to eat some more of my scrambled eggs, but the environment just left me without an appetite. I wish I had checked the reviews before stepping foot in this place. I have no idea how this establishment passes health inspections. My advice, close for a month and focus on deep cleaning. Or, just burn it to the ground and start over. read more

I grew up in Snohomish and my mom used to take me here for peanut butter chocolate pie. When my mom comes to visit from out of state, we always make sure to visit the Cabbage Patch. The peanut butter chocolate pie is still amazingly delicious, after all this time it is still my favorite slice of pie! The cabbage patch soup is still so good... Also, the last time we were there we got some amazing scones with jam and butter served with our lunch. The scones were melt-in-your-mouth, 100% pure deliciousness. We love Cabbage Patch. The food is very good, service is always attentive, and the prices are quite reasonable. Our last visit we had: Chicken Pot Pie: Yes, it's non-traditional, but exactly as described on the menu and quite delicious. It has big chunks of high quality white chicken meat, lots of vegetables, and a delectable gravy. It's topped with a puff pastry, which is a little odd, but once you crunch it down into the gravy it's good. I prefer a more traditional crust, but it works. It's served with vegetables, which tonight was mostly peppers with a few green beans and yellow and orange carrots. I can't eat peppers so I didn't try the vegetables but my husband loved them. The Pot Pie was $11.99 and the portion was big enough that I brought half home. I did add a cup of the Cabbage Patch soup for $2.99 - it is also worth trying. My husband had the Chicken Fried Chicken ($12.99) which was two large chicken breasts, a potato side, and vegetables. He's a large eater and he brought home leftovers. He was very happy with his meal. I had the Raspberry Cream Pie for dessert and he had the Snohomish Mudd. All desserts are $4.99, which is very reasonable. Nobody has desserts that are affordable any more, and these are delicious desserts! I'd go here just for the desserts. Our waiter was not only adorable, but he was very attentive and professional. He did an awesome job. So, my only complaint is the massive amount of peppers in the vegetables, but that's somewhat my fault for not asking what the vegetables were. They probably would have given me something else if I'd asked. Overall it was one of the better dinners I've had in a long time - and we eat out way too much! read more

We have gotten food togo from here twice, both time disappointing. We didn't care for the food very much. This last time I went in there I walked in and stood at the end of the bar waiting to pick up our togo order while two employees stood at the other end of the bar, looking at me, and continuing their conversation. This small bar is maybe 15 feet long so it is painfully obvious that they are ignoring me and could care less. Finally someone else stops to ask if I have been helped.... We obviously won't be returning... MUCH better options in little Snohomish for both breakfast and dinner. The Denver Omelet had abundant fresh and quality: green peppers, onions, ham and cheese with fresh diced tomatoes on top. I selected potato cakes as the side. The plate was full, serving was plentiful. Factually I left 2/3rd on plate due to being full. Definitely a large serving. My daughter selected a supposed lite choice, nicely priced. The pancake was bigger than her full sized plate! It was fluffy, good flavor. We've had various menu items. All were flavorful, abundant amounts, and fair priced. I was a bit non plussed by the chicken cordon bleu I had recently. It was kind of deconstructed--chicken with ham on top covered in cheese and a thick only semi flavorful gravy. We visit the Cabbage Patch every now and then. The food is better than diner food, but nothing you can't cook yourself. It's good for a quick bite. Their happy hour is very decent, price wise..especially for clams. Their brunch is very popular and my father loves their salads, the portions are huge. Although the food is so worth going there for, we had a bad experience last week. We went for lunch later in the day and there were a lot of seats available near windows, outside and in the dining area. Unfortunately, they sat us back by the kitchen at a tiny table because there were only 2 of us. We could hear all the clanging of pots and pans and hear the staff talking to each other. My view was the hat rack and that's all I could see when looking straight ahead. It was terrible. We saw lots of couples come in after us and they were seated in nicer areas. Our "iced tea" was served without ice and we had to ask twice for ice. The manager noticed we were being neglected and came and re-served the iced tea (with ice) and chatted with us some. After we ordered, it took 30 minutes to get our soup and salad. They were not busy at all so not sure what took so long. The food is excellent and if you have time for a leisurely lunch or dinner, go there. Just plan to wait for service. read more

I took my parents, my fiance, and my daughters (ages 9 and 1) to the Cabbage Patch for Mother's Day yesterday. I was alarmed to find that they were having an all-day brunch buffet and ordering from their regular menu was not an option. The pricing was outrageous: Adults, $33; kids (6-12), $17 and under 5, $8. Right off the bat I felt like I'd been duped. Why would they not mention this when I made the reservation?! They crammed us into a table that was far, far too small (and we're not big people), and while the "server" was very nice, she was nowhere to be found for the majority of our visit and couldn't even bring extra napkins when asked. They charged for two coffees just because my mom asked for a warm-up on hers. The food was really quite bad (the bacon and sausage tasted like cleaning products) and the selection was shameful, not to mention that condiments were nowhere to be found. This was a $175.00 lesson for me. Needless to say, we will not be back, especially not on Mother's Day. read more

I always go with first impressions by how the prime rib tastes when I walk into new places of this nature. Honestly- WAY BETTER than the experience I had at Daniels Broiler :)!! Food get's a Solid 4 stars! Can't wait to try them for breakfast! My mild complaints: When we walked into the joint, It kind of reminded me of my dead grandmothers house since it's decorated the same however due to the several antique shops and bars in the area I guess it works. The wait staff tired to correct the issues presented by the kitchen staff but it took so long that everyone else had already finished eating and what they did bring back to me was very disappointing.
