Sticky tables, lukewarm customer service, unprofessional conversations between staff next to our table more than one time in one visit, soda with barely any ice, days old puff pastry on my pot pie that was rock hard and made a mess all over me and the table/floor, over priced food in general etc. I had been here in the past and it was a good experience, not sure what has caused the decline? For 2 adults and one child the bill was $50 for a simple lunch. One kids cheeseburger meal, one soda, chicken pot pie meal, 2 side salads and a Thai chicken sandwich. Not impressed at all. Very disappointing experience. I ran out of water twice yet they kept bringing me coffee even though I didn't need more. But that is just minor. My complaint is this: my food came out cold, my pancake was rubbery and chewy, the syrup was homemade and disgusting (think water and sugar dissolved with maple extract added...nasty), my eggs were cold (over medium eggs with runny cold yolk...yolk should not be cold!!!). I will say the mashed potato cakes were good and the bacon was high quality. Not good enough to ever come back though. read more

5 stars JUST for their RASPBERRY CREAM PIE! I'm not big on anything else on their menu, but stop in JUST to grab desert. Main St. Snohomish is an awesome area to hang out in. I've sampled their coconut and peanut butter chocolate. Peanut Butter chocolate was way, way too rich for me. Coconut was ok, not gross or anything (coconut cream pie is always my #1 try anywhere I go). I didn't even want to try their raspberry cream pie: 1. I usually don't like the extra whip cream that comes with/on top of pies (even though I like chocolate and coconut cream pies) 2. Also, I'm NOT a berry pie person. Lot's of people love berry or cherry pies- I'm not one. Their too sweet (even though I AM a sweet tooth for most deserts). So, both factors cause their raspberry pie to look unappetizing to me... WOW, soooo, sooo, soo good!!! I was wrong to turn my nose up at it. It's a perfect blend of fresh creamy taste, and sweet/tart from the raspberries. PERFECTION! I've never had anything so good, and can't wait to treat myself to another slice soon. If you look on people's reviews of this restaurant... Do not order the omelets. The menu says the omelets are three eggs. Mine was more like one egg, and they don't come with toast or hash browns. When I complained to the waitress, she looked at me like - what am I supposed to do about it. If they don't want to make three egg omelets, change the menu to describe what they are really making. One of my best friends had her rehearsal dinner here last week and it was my first time trying their food. And really, the food was AMAZING. I had the turkey dinner which had mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce and it was SO good. The turkey was so moist and delicious, it was also a huge serving so I brought home the leftovers to my fiance and he loved it, too. I also had the Caesar salad, the bread (so yummy!), and the little dessert tarts which were all delicious. The set up was a little weird, though. The tables were set up in a U shape which chairs on either side of the tables except at the head of the table where the bride and groom were sitting. Basically the everyone was about 10 feet away from the bride and groom which made it hard for them to talk to all of the guests. Also, the service was a little questionable at times. We were told by the grooms family that we could order beer or wine off the drink menu, so I tried to order a glass of wine for the bride and myself. The server said "Oh, we're only having people order off of the house wine selections" when I told her what we wanted. Well, they had a cab and pinot listed on the house menu, so I told her that's still what we wanted. She made some comment like "The pinot? Well I guess I can go downstairs and get it..." and we told her that would be great and she said "Or I can just give you the white we have up here" and the bride told her something along the line of "Ok, whatever works" and ended up with something she didn't want. I don't think if you're serving a large wedding party when the grooms family has obviously spent lots of time and money planning the rehearsal dinner you should make anyone (especially the bride!) feel guilty or like she's inconveniencing you when she orders something off the menu you just told her to order off of. There were a few other weird situations like that where I was like "Really?" in regards to the service. The maid of honor mentioned the next day that a little after 10 PM (apparently when they close) a woman asked the bride to finish her completely full glass of wine so she could clear the glass off the table. The dinner didn't start until 8 so I didn't think it was too surprising that it ran a little after 10 PM. Something has fundamentally changed here between 2013-14 and now. The Chicken Fried Chicken used to be thick and delicious here, the food was richer and full of more flavor. Great breakfast selection, wonderful attentive service and a wonderful old world ambiance! Our family had the Denver Omelet, Eggs Benedict with potato cakes, the kid's waffle. Wow! When running to the vets I try to stop in and grab a breakfast. Usually pretty darn good. The service can be a little off if they are slammed. It is difficult to get water unless your outside or in the bar. Bathrooms are out of the way and smell and not in a good way. The bar staff either watches you like a hawk (. stalking?) or completely looks through you. Which is worst depends on your mood. Bring something to read as the meals tend to take their sweet time arriving. Coffee is poor quality and weak. You do realize that it is the coffee capital of the world , right? Creamer is warm and you'll wait for a refill. Toast is cold but the breakfast are hot if they are not really busy. Outside tables are cold rickety and old. Don't expect any of them to be better then the rest. Lunch was just ok, soup is pre made and lacks flavor. Stick to breakfast to get better quality. Have not had dinner there. read more

This restaurant catered my brother's wedding. They did a pretty good job so we decided to try the restaurant. The atmosphere is a little weird. A little too quiet and it felt like I was in someone's grandmother's house with too much lace and doilies. From the time we sat down, had dinner and dessert it took 2 hours. The service was EXTREMELY slow. The waiter seemed snobby and was nowhere in sight when we needed something. The food was okay....just okay. The dessert was really good but they were out of ice cream. It seems like that would be something that would be easy to get if you ran out of it considering they have so many pies and cobblers that it would go good with. read more

I came in tonight again and ordered the Chicken fried chicken and a drink... husband had coffee... The chicken was fine bit it was slathered with a sticky, pasty yellow gravy instead of a traditional country chi ken gravy...I asked if they had a chicken gravy bit they just had a brown gravy that was better but still not great...potatoes were meh. My drink was good...and husband liked the coffee and so even though I'm leaning toward 2, the last time We were there, I liked oir appetizers, drinks, and dessert so I'm doing an average score of 3. read more

We visit here regularly for brunch on the weekends. We always come sometime around 12-1pm. The last 4 visits have been ridiculously slow. Today we didn't receive waters until we asked for some 15 minutes after being seated, we didn't have our order taken for 25 minutes and and hour later we received food. I understand they are busy and it's not the waiters fault but my frustration is they are ALWAYS under staffed. Please up the number of staff you have on weekends during bunch/lunch time so we keep coming back! read more

My wife and I went here once for breakfast, and it was pretty good. The interior reminded me of a really old Victorian hotel, which is pretty neat. Portions are rather small for the price, and the waitstaff were all 16 year olds, so not quite as attentive as you'd hope. I do remember the dishes being flavorful and plated well, but not enough food to make me want to become a regular guest. If we had family from out of town coming to visit, we might take them here, but we haven't found another reason to return. There aren't a lot of options for a nice, sit-down breakfast in Snohomish, but I would place the Cabbage Patch middle-to-high on the list for food quality. If you're a fan of a light breakfast and don't mind dropping $40-$50 on a meal for 2, give it a shot. If you're more into bigger portions and have slightly lower standards, go to Jake's. read more

We were celebrating our upcoming wedding with a planned nice dinner to a restaurant we had never been to before. The menu looked good and Snohomish is fun to walk around before or after a nice meal. They seated us in the back room no one else was in the room with us. There were flies bugging us. After I drank half my beer I noticed a lipstick imprint on my glass. I don't wear lipstick. I told the waiter and he brought me another beer. We had the prime rib. It did not taste fresh, it was dry and tasteless. I would guess not fresh! We took a piece of bread pudding home for later. Valentine's Day was the first time I had headed back to this place since it burnt down years ago. So though it is no longer the same antique we all knew and loved it has really out done itself in those little niceties that push a restaurant from good to great. The restaurant itself is decorated like a Victorian house. The rooms are filled with dining tables which would likely make for a very intimate party. We were ushered upstairs and seated in a cozy little booth. Their menu is now a newspaper like say, Spaghetti Factory but bigger. We were there at about 2 p.m. So while Breakfast and Lunch were being served dinner was alas not. No matter, the selections for lunch and breakfast were pretty formidable but I finally narrowed it down to try their Fish and Chips while my hubby tasted the Prime Rib Dip Sandwich. For an appetize we ordered the Onion Rings. Before we received our appetizer the server brought out two hot, flaky and delicious scones!! These are like those fair scones you get, not too sweet, but absolutely delicious, and the fruit spread was homemade. I could have eaten the scones themselves all day long! (You only get one free -_-) Next came our onion rings, and for 4.95 the plate was not large, but it was fabulous!!! The onion rings are not your typical one's. They come in a Mac n Jak (Sorry its probably spelled wrong I don't drink beer =/) beer batter and coated to be the size of donuts!!! Mmmmm they were delicious and my husband declares the best we've ever had!!! My fish and chips came in the same scrumptious beer batter, and the fries are perfectly seasoned with no need for sauces for flavor. The portions are large, and regretfully I was too stuffed for dessert which was quite sad because their desserts sounded fabulous, and I drooled at the ones going by me. The Prime Rib my husband had was just as good, and needless to say we will be going back to this restaurant again and again. Nice homey atmosphere that compliments historic Snohomish, but the food is average and the menu seems rather limited. There are so many opportunities for improvement here. A top chef and a unique menu would have people waiting outside for tables, and this restaurant could easily be the most popular in town. I love this place, food, service, ambiance. But I just left a bit annoyed because while we're eating breakfast at the bar, the gal next to me has her feet propped up on the chair next to me. The entire time she was talking to bartenders / servers about how she's worked there in the past and is friends with all the workers there - great - but get your feet off the seat next to me. It's gross, unsanitary and I wish one of the workers would have called her out for it. So that's why I'm leaving this review - not okay. Everything else about this place - fantastic. read more

I have gone to the cabbage patch for 30 years plus. Today I wanted to treat myself to a nice Salmon lunch and a glass of wine. The Salmon was wonderful with fresh steamed vegies. I had 2 glasses of Pinot Gris figuring $6-$7 a glass. Got my bill and they were a wopping $10.00 ea. The waitresses answer was that this is DUCK POND out of Oregon. Well I can buy that for $12.00 a bottle. Come on this is a very lovely restraunt but I do not expect to pay prices as though I was sitting on the deck at the bay. Which I might add is only 20 minutes away. SHAME on You!!! I should not have to inspect a wine menu for a nice glass of wine at lunch. Took a chance for thanksgiving this year, made a reservation. Food was Cold to start with. I had the turkey dinner. The turkey and the yams were the only 2 things I found to be good. Instant mashed potatoes, stuffing was terrible, steamed veggies were hard and cold. Over priced for the quality. Thanks to Groupon we tried this place out after a afternoon of shoping in Snohomish- glad we did. Quaint - I wanted to walk around and check everything out, from the lamps to the windows, upstairs to bathrooms. My dinner was great, the baked potato was thoroughly done, but done overdone. The vegies were awesome and my chicken chicken fried steak was extremely tasty. My husbands dinner however, wasn't so great. His filet mignon was tough, unedible. The waitress was absolutely wonderful, kept our pepsi's full - not to intruding, just enough. I had the Thai Chicken Sandwich, which was decent, just tasted like it was pre-packaged. It came with french fry crumbs, bummer. My partner ordered the eggs benedict, which was completely undercooked and liquidy. I understand how hard it is to get the poached eggs perfect (usually restaurants overcook the eggs), but the egg whites where still clear, which is not ok. He couldn't even eat them. Too bad. The atmosphere/decor was interesting, but the carpet clashed with it all. I'd be willing to give this place a second chance; maybe we had a bad food day, but I probably wouldn't recommended it until I have a better experience. read more

We waited for practically half an hour, and instead of just telling us that we would have to wait they kept making excuses for why there weren't seats! After a long time of waiting we finally were seated and took our order and promised that they would give us extra scones because of our long wait. The one thing that they actually told the truth about was the extra scones. But when we got the scones we had to wait for another 5 minutes before we actually got water. And another 10 before they took our order! I never understood the hype here. I think the food is extremely overpriced and the experience so-so. Granted, I've only ever been here for holidays- Mothers Day, Easter, etc.- but I still think the money could have been better spent elsewhere. Made reservations weeks in advance to bring my mom for Mother's Day brunch. Traveled over 60 miles, was treated poorly, buy a person I later learned is the owner. The brunch buffet was seriously low budget quality. Waitress stayed in the side wait room for 25 minutes after we served ourselves (brunch buffet of course), however didn't ask to refill water or coffee during our entire meal, only when we had finished. There isn't much of a variety for places to eat in Snohomish, so walking by this adorable historic Victorian house and realizing it was a restaurant I had to check it out. It's adorable inside, still set up as a house but with dining tables in each room. On your way to the back of the house you pass by a pretty cool bar, small - but super cute and vintage. We were seated in the back room which was lit really well with natural light with a view of the back patio. Service was fast and attentive but I was just feeling 'meh' when we left about the food. They have a great appetizer happy hour so we took advantage and ordered the clams, coconut prawns and crab/cheese dip. It's kind of hard to mess up clams, so those were tasty - the coconut prawns were alright but the crab dip was just cheese and mayo overload. I could barely eat more than 2 of the little slabs of bread it came with. Too rich and left me feeling bad about myself. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great... read more
