It's located in a shopping strip with Uncle Guiseppe's as well as a massage parlor, bank, and other variety of stores. As I walked into the restaurant I was greeted by workers as I approached the prep area. It was pleasant to see workers smile and ask how can they help you. Since it was my first time visiting the restaurant I quickly viewed the menu and made it simple. Can't go wrong with shrimp, so I ordered the shrimp bowl which was great. Very colorful and tasty. First time at a Cabo Fresh. Never even heard of them until recently but I'm a fan of these types of restaurants (building your own burrito/quesadilla etc.) I will say though that I have a beef with the ones that charge extra for chips and salsa like this place though. I personally think Moes, and Qdoba are much better BUT I would say Cabo Fresh is better than chipotle. The burrito was alright, it was huge so I'll give them that but overall I just wasn't really impressed. The only thing that stood out among other similar establishments was their queso. Not because it was fantastic or anything, but it was just different. More of a sharp cheese taste. Overall, I would return to a Cabo Fresh but not before checking if there was a Moes or Qdoba in the area first. This specific location seemed clean enough, the staff were eh (not the friendliest) and the iced tea and soda fountains all tasted like they were begging to be cleaned. read more

Visit Date: March 14, 2021 So I finally ended up moving to my dad's house after filing for divorce in September and going through a long drawn out saga of where I might live, looking for apartments on my own, with potential roommates, being confused as to whether I was allowed to move out just yet or not. Since I will have my son most nights and I can do some adventuring exploring with him but not too much I decided to drive out somewhere after I loaded up my car with most of the stuff I was bringing to my dad's. I ended up here for nachos since I've been kind of obsessed with nachos lately. Cabo is one of those assembly line mexican places like chitpotle, or Moe's. You tell the staff what you want and they add onto your order. I got a lot on my nachos so with my seltzer it cost me $20. They were okay the food wasn't outstanding, but I wouldn't call it awful either. Out of assembly line mexican chains chitpotle still manages to be my favorite. read more

Smithtown rent must really be hurting this location because every time I order from this spot they are cheap with the portions. I get double or triple meat, paying 25-35 dollars for a bowl and they still only put a couple pieces. Only explanation is the manager is cheap and cutting expenses. I've been to many of these locations and they are all pretty consistent. The food is good,was kinda quiet when i went.

I went into the new Cabo Fresh today for lunch to see if the new one was just as amazing as Stony Brook and Commack locations. My girlfriend and I both ordered Baja bowls and they were fantastic. I got the steak and my girlfriend got the chicken - both were amazing. For a brand new restaurant, opened less than a week, they were efficient, kind, courteous, and the store was spotless. The staff were all cheerful, helpful, and seemed enthusiastic. They have so many options to choose from, accommodating so many dietary needs! The food tasted amazing and fresh! The rice was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Additionally, we absolutely loved the LARGE bottles of sauce (and all the options they had)! Finally, we were both shocked at the HUGE SERVINGS for such a ridiculously affordable price. We can't wait to go back to Cabo Fresh and have been recommending the new spot to everyone!! read more

Similar style to chipotle but much better quality. They offer salads, bowls, burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and a lot of smoothies. the meat options are delish, they also have shrimp and tuna. Both are fantastic. I recommend the sweet carnitas. For vegan options there is no tofu option, but it comes with free guac. They have a better salsa selection then chipotle, and the mango salsa is a good idea. They also have a good selection of dressings. Their menu is easy to order and it accommodates for most diets. Gluten free, vegan, paleo. Altogether their menu is very customizable to any lifestyle and you can pick and choose what you want. The food is prepared fresh and it's consistently good no matter when you go or what location. read more

My first time eating inside A very sweet kind woman was there to greet me and my Daughter who was on her lunch break from work though I found out later she is the owner I think her name starts with a D with a jeweled black mask on which I admired explained everything to me , how to order , how to understand the menu respected me wasn't annoyed with my numerous questions the positive list goes on and on The food was delicious satisfying ( I have celiac disease) The place itself is spotless with Employees constantly wiping the tables , no filth on the floor not just standing around doing nothing I can go on and on She thanked me when I was leaving said " nice to meet you " No-one gets this much attention in this timeline and my age Life and times are very hard just as much as it is hard to own a Restaurant take out or dine in I will most certainly stop in again thank you very much best of luck health peace and joy to you and your family read more

Sorry folks, I don't normally write negative reviews but tried the rice bowl on my way home from the airport. About 7:15pm on a Friday night. Was tired and hungry, and hugely disappointed! Why? 1) The staff were not knowledgeable. I asked for salsa verde, the young man looked at me like I had 3 heads. C'mon, even the Old El Paso green salsa says 'Salsa Verde'! Staff training issue. Then I asked for green salsa and I was asked which of the (only) two red salsas I wanted. Frankly, neither, but took one of each on the side. Put on my own green salsa at home. Arg. 2) ONLY two salsa choices?? Isn't this a Mexican place? Tex Mex? Every other competitor has at least three varieties to choose from. There are a few hot sauce bottles at the napkin/soda counter but the green hot sauce was too hot. And it's not salsa. And 3) the white cilantro rice was cold and lumpy. Ugh. I picked through it, ate half only because I was starving and threw the rest away. So disappointed!!! Hoping you folks can turn this around bc I was so excited to have another Mexican/Tex Mex fast food in the neighborhood . Will wait awhile to try this again and will keep going to chipotle in the meantime. read more

We are so excited the Smithtown location is finally open!! We went twice this week and it was delicious, as always. We each have a favorite dish. My son loves the steak and rice bowl with all the toppings- rice, black beans, cheese, sour cream and guacamole. I love the grilled chicken over lettuce bowl with the mango dressing. It was so tasty! My little guy got the kids cheese Quesadilla with chips. He added a strawberry smoothie and churro and he's in heaven. There is something for everyone!! read more

just tried cabo fresh for the first time tonight and i was very impressed! what a great selection of choices they have. food was very fresh and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable on their product. barbacoa was excellent as well as their hot sauce. the food is of much better quality compared to chipotle and moes and the portion sizes are bigger. i will definitely be returning to this location soon read more

This is probably one of my favorite spots to go for dinner to bring Home i usually get the chicken quesadilla extra guacamole and chips also love all the flavors of the smoothies.
