They just said "valet". I said no, and asked if they have self parking. And he says no. And they don't tell you how much it is either. Literally the worst parking I've ever experienced in my entire life in Houston. There is street parking in the back which majority of our party self-parked at within minutes. Came for brunch with a party of 10 with a semi-private reservation. Table wasn't ready for over 45 minutes. No where to wait except stand in front of the front door in everyone's way. Another 20 mins to take our order after being seated. I ordered the ratatouille and I'd honestly rate it as a 2/10. First bite was good but it progressively got saltier with each bite. I got tired of it after 3 bites. Nothing special about it. Got back to my car to find my car had recorded a video of one of the valet guys bumping a car door into my car. Beef was stringy and considering it's supposed to be short rib, it was lean IMO. The stew was decent with chunks of potato, carrot and pearl onions. For dessert, we ordered the Profilotores and Blueberry parfait. Thought the Profilotores was yummy! Paired with big scoops of ice cream makes it had to beat. The salad arrived quickly--within about five minutes--and it was excellent. Unfortunately, that was followed by a 45-minute wait for our main courses. During that time, our server never checked in, provided an update, or acknowledged the delay. I eventually spoke with the hostess, who said our food would be out shortly. When our entrées finally arrived, the food was outstanding--exactly as we remembered from previous visits. However, no one checked on us during the meal. When the hostess came to clear our plates, I asked to speak with the manager and was told that our server was also the manager. I shared our concerns about the long wait and lack of communication. During that conversation, the response felt more like an explanation than an apology, citing walk-in guests and the fact that dishes are cooked from raw to order. While our $10 corkage fee was comped and we were offered dessert and a glass of wine each (after finishing our bottle while waiting), the core issue--pacing and communication--was never really addressed. The food here is excellent and absolutely worth returning for, but the service fell short this time. Better communication and attention during delays would have made a significant difference in the overall experience.
