Fries and avocado dip and Bellini
    Mar G.

Stopped in here late on a Sunday night, and we were delighted to learn about the happy hour menu. The Smashburger is truly such a steal, but everything else is about like three dollars off. I got the Bellini, which was delicious; however, as someone who doesn't really like sweet drinks, I really benefited from cutting it with some soda water. Really good martini, but not sure it was worth $21 (wish I had known this before hand). We got the smash burger, fries, and the avocado dip - all of which were really delicious. Definitely recommend the smash burger (it isn't super huge). The avocado dip was like a guacamole and the perfect size. The mousse cup desert left a lot to be desired. It's very small. Most importantly, the mousse looked and tastes like it had fallen, so it was kind of like a sad pudding. Super disappointing and wish I hadn't ordered. Ambiance is super vibey, but the service was not super great. Had to ask several time for things like water and waited a long time for it to actually be brought to table

Cactus Club Cafe feels like one of those places you go for the vibe, but this time the food actually backed it up! Didn't expect to say this, but there were NO MISSES. The food was amazing, the cocktail was well balanced, and the service was extraordinary! I highly recommend the Sticky Garlic Ribs Fun fact, this is where the law firm Crane, Poole & Schmidt in Boston Legal was If you're going, just know... you're leaving full and satisfied

Go here for the ambiance & drinks, not the food. The bellini was fabulous of course! The drink menu had great choices. The ambience is beautiful, and the bar is great. The food is very average. Think tavern in the square vibe. We got the pull apart bread and it was not worth $10, it wasn't even warm or anything special. the burger & fries were okay. the med bowl was good, nothing crazy. Overall I would come back but just for drinks!

I recently stumbled upon Cactus Club Cafe and have already been twice in a row--that's how much I like it. It's quickly becoming one of my go-to spots for a quick drink and bite, especially during happy hour. The peach bellini is to die for--highly recommend if you're going. If you visit Monday through Thursday from 4-6 PM, they have a great happy hour menu with really reasonable prices (think $10 burgers and other options in the $10-$20 range), which is perfect for something casual but still fun. The vibe is lively and upbeat, making it a great place to meet up with friends. It does get crowded pretty quickly, though, so I'd recommend making a reservation or going early if you want to grab a spot at the bar.

Finally made it to Cactus Club Cafe! The atmosphere is a total vibe--perfectly classy but casual. Just a heads-up that the lounge seats are a bit of a tight squeeze to slide into, but they are so comfy once you're settled! The food is definitely a highlight. They use real truffle sprinkled on almost everything, and the truffle butter was so good we couldn't waste a single drop. The sticky ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and not too sweet, but the gnocchi was the absolute star. It was rich, buttery, fresh, and basically pure fluffy indulgence on a plate. Service was super friendly and the front desk was so helpful, though we did have a funny "whoops" moment. We were there for our engagement celebration, but the staff delivered our cake with a "Happy Birthday!" Definitely a bit pricey for a regular visit but go for the celebrations, get the gnocchi, and stay for the vibes!

The ambience...the food...the vibes...oh YEAH, I'm sorry to say but it's DEFINITELY worth coming here! Drake was right about those peach Bellinis, they are SOOO GOOD!!!! Would order SO many more but...maybe I will during their "happy" hour The food! So so good! Absolutely loved my steak frites and GET THE UPGRADE TO THE TRUFFLE FRIES! They are worth it and suuuuper good! Service is top-tier where the waiters are kind and engaging--makes it even more worth coming to a place like this!

This place is awesome! And I cannot wait to come back for the food and drinks as they were spectacular! The frozen peach Bellini has been all over social media and it definitely makes sense why since it was delicious. I also got the frozen blood orange margarita which was also delicious. The sushi was really good here too. I would love to try out some other food on the menu next time. Inside the ambiance is dark if you go at night but it was definitely worth the visit. I will definitely be coming back!

The ambiance is A1!!!! Trendy, great lighting, and bustling. The service was great as well. No complaints! Sushi set..amazing (5/5) Steak and creole shrimp (4.5/5) Steak frites (3.5/5) the fries were the big let down. I feel like if you get s fresh batch of fries then you would be golden! Cocktails (3.5/5) very balanced drinks and sometimes sweet..personal preference i like my whisky drinks a bit more booze forward. Overall, i definitely recommend and would come back. Also, everyone orders that frozen bellini drink... it was wild to see how many the bartenders made on a Thursday night.

    Bacon cheeseburger with truffle fries

Yelp has this place labeled "good for brunch" but I want to make it clear that they do NOT serve brunch. Absolutely huge, beautiful place covered in art and with a patio. What we ordered: -Avocado Dip: 5/5, gigantic fresh corn chips and the dip tasted so fresh with a little kick to it. -Bacon Cheeseburger with truffle fries (me): 3.5/10, burger was pretty good but nothing to make it stand out, the truffle fries were delicious- crispy, and came with incredible aioli -Poke bowl with tofu (guest): 4/5, she says the tofu was flavorful and cooked crispy, the bowl has a lasting spicy after-taste to it -Greek Goddess with Salmon(guest): 3.5/5, very fresh however again just an average salad-nothing to make it stand out -Spicy chicken sandwich with truffle fries (guest): 4.5/5, just the right amount of kick however the chicken patty itself was pretty thin compared to the whole sandwich

So I'll start with the vibes here are excellent - perfect for an upscale meal, date, happy hour, or celebration. The service matched the vibes and was great with no complaints. The drinks were fun, although a tad pricy even for Boston (but again, matching the upscale vibe). The food was just a bit disappointing, especially for the price. While there was nothing wrong or distasteful about the meal, it did not live up to the premium prices they were charging. A $45 steak frites (as the cheapest steak option) only to get a fairly bland steak was pretty disappointing. All in all, you're definitely paying for the ambiance which is good in the right situation. Would recommend for the events I mentioned and especially on a corporate card. Would like to try some more of the food options another time, to see if I just ordered a bad plate.

Nice Ambiance Service was great Food was good just wished the Salmon wasn't so small. Overall 8/10 definitely recommend.

Service and ambiance was amazing! Truly adore Maddi and will be back for her. She was so personable and a highlight to our experience. The Bellini definitely lives up to its hype and the hot chicken & pickles/sushi set are so worth it. Will definitely be back :)

    Frozen bellinis

Cactus Club has an elegant and trendy vibe with food that matches the aesthetic of the space. Their signature frozen bellinis are super cute and a fun drink to order. They taste JUST like peach rings. A little sweet for me personally but still enjoyable. For food we ordered an assortment of appetizers including my favorite, the parker house rolls. Service was top notch! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

I started with the grapefruit cocktail, followed by the hamachi crudo and the lobster roll. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The hamachi crudo was especially impressive, and the lobster roll was everything you'd hope for when dining in Boston. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, and the overall experience exceeded expectations. Salty Girl definitely deserves its high ratings, and I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

This year we visited right after a RedSox game and it had poured the entire day. We were cold and wet so they escorted us to the back bar. I hope we didn't offend anyone by not being in fancy clothes. Anyways, we were sat at the bar, about five minutes later, we were acknowledged and menus placed in front of us. Took another 10 minutes to get water and a drink order to get us started. Short time after that, we got to out in our food order and we are glad we did because right about that time our bartender's friend walked in and all of a sudden all the attention went to him. Our clam chowder arrived and it was complete perfection, silky smooth was with a delicate fried clam as an extra treat. It was sooo good. I wish I would have stopped there, instead we also ordered cheeseburgers. The fries were underwhelming and limp, the cheeseburger was a disaster. I'm sorry, I wish I could say anything but that but it just didn't work. The burger patty itself was made out of a meat blend, it felt more like nerves, ligaments and other weird meat elements and to make matters worse, wasn't cooked good, was not allowed to rest instead leaking its fluids all over the bottom bun and severely underseasoned if seasoned at all. I took one bite and couldn't even swallow it. The "fried lobster" on top was chewy and honestly just bad. What a terrible thing to do to a lobster. The cocktail was good, after all it's their $30 martini with a caviar garnish. The bartender made sure his buddy was taken care of, the rest of us at the bar had slow service. It is what it is and I guess next year when we visit we won't be coming back. Oh, the tiramisu was tasty too, instagramable for sure!

In advance, I stopped into the hotel to confirm that a gluten-free guest could be accommodated and was assured this would be handled. In reality, the accommodation was inadequate and, at times, unacceptable. While the rest of us were served scones, my stepdaughter was given cut fruit in their place, and told that was all they had to accommodate. The dessert course consisted of what appeared to be basic gluten-free cookies, misrepresented as something more gourmet - egg nog cookies??? This lack of preparation was both disappointing, upsetting and avoidable. The broader experience was equally concerning. We were subjected to an unsolicited and uncomfortable "lesson" on tea service, which detracted from what should have been a relaxed and celebratory occasion. While trying to enjoy the time with the girls, being a lifelong tea drinker and someone who has been to many times at your establishment and its various incarnations, this is something I have never experienced. The food quality was poor (scones were clearly reheated and stuck to the cloth napkin they were wrapped in), and there were notable service lapses, including being served water in a visibly shattered glass. Additionally, when hot water was added to refresh the tea, my stepdaughter's pot curdled and had to be replaced. It was especially disappointing, as I mentioned that I had stopped in and spoken with the concierge, and was assured, as they had called the kitchen while I stood there that they readily accommodated gluten-free. There are numerous places in the city that could have done this, and if you had just told me that you could not do so, I would have booked us elsewhere. I chose not to raise the multiple issues in the moment so as not to disrupt what was meant to be a special day for the girls and me. However, the total cost exceeded $500, and the experience did not come close to justifying that price point! Do not recommend.
