    Bean & Cheese Wet Burrito
    Tagan L.

Solid place! Here's the breakdown: Pros: Great food, great customer service, and a clean ambiance! So happy to welcome this new Cactus Taqueria location to Encino! Now for the food ordered: bean, cheese, rice burrito wet with green and red sauce was soooo goood! Note: the red sauce does have a little kick, which I happen to enjoy, but please be prepared. The cheese enchilada plate was equally as good and my daughter also enjoyed her cheese quesadilla. Verdict on their customer service: The lady cashier was very nice and helpful in making a choice. I appreciated her input as I navigated the spice level in various items offered on the menu. If you live in Encino, we all know how hard it is to find solid fast Mexican food but this place is def worth a try.

Carne asada tacos with no onion and no cilantro, even though I would really like there to be onion and cilantro on them. What a shame.

Just ordered tacos from here through Postmates and they look like they would've been pretty good but they didn't give me any onion or cilantro, which is crazy to not put that on someone's tacos, especially since I did not ask for them to remove it

Tacos are fantastic! This is the whole in the hole in the wall that I've been searching for for the past several years. It's GOLD! Three tables inside and a little counter sitting area. The chicken, the Carne Asada, and the beef stew are fantastic. Great quality meat, very well seasoned, looks and smells great. The rice was perfect consistency, not clumpy or mushy, loose grains. The beans were exactly how you would expect them to be. The corn tortillas are locally sourced and are very delicious; some of the best I've ever had. The salsa is home made. I'm not sure what more you can ask for... The staff is friendly and the place has lots of regulars. An elderly gentleman was picking up his order, the staff member gave him his order and then walked around the counter to open the door for him, just to make things a little easier. I trashed after myself and got the lid of the trashcan dirty. As I was walking out the staff member got a rag ready to go and clean it up. There wasn't even two minutes between the two actions. The place is very clean and clearly the staff care.

Great food!!! Very flavor full you can tell they make the sauce& everything from scratch. Definitely a place to always come when you are in the area. I ordered an Asada wet burrito green and red sauce. Their salsa is also Great!!! Good spice and flavor. Portion of food is big. You can't complain.

Bean and cheese burrito way to much cheese and fell apart in two seconds

How my bean and cheese burrito looked after I opened it up. And that spill over was coming from all sides. The amount of cheese is way way too much.

I've been a diehard for this family run business and all there other locations for many years! Having this new spot has allowed my addiction to flourish! The ingredients are fresh, the portions are insane and the flavor is fantastic. Highly recommend all their locations in the city, but having another in the valley is a welcome and appreciated addition.

It came to my attention that management has not yet fixed the AC that keeps the area cool for the employees and the cooks who are working hard over hot grills. I want to make it very clear that this team is worth taking care of because they do a phenomenal job of taking care of every person that walks in the door by giving them great customer service and delicious food. No seasoning no citrus no yummy delicious garlic nothing. Just pure chili paste. Almost unbearable. $16 for a steak quesadilla for my little boy. And a protein plate for my daughter with Asada steak. A decent portion of steak with terribly cooked vegetables again with no seasoning. They're better off putting beans on the plate not a bunch of nasty vegetables. Their Salsa bar was half empty missing containers and very odd flavors to their salsa again no seasoning. The roasted tomato or chili salsa was extremely odd flavor. Did not taste like tomatoes or normal natural flavors. No citrus and no seasoning just spice spice spice. I love the vibe in the atmosphere in this place. It's very fast very clean and very exciting but I don't know. The food is somehow. Too much hype for nothing. Once again this is Los Angeles. We are full of Latinos that have family tradition flavors and I can guarantee all of you with this has no tradition for their flavors. I will mention that their tortillas, but I'm watching one of the employees removed quickly off the griddle are creatively, prepared and beautifully flavored. They don't have Coke Zero, only Diet Coke. The flan was pretty good. They ask if you want it topped with a caramel sauce and/or whipped cream. Again, I had to go to the counter and ask for it (even though I had paid for it). In fact, I had to go back to the counter several times. My drink cup was forgotten. My flan was as forgotten. Since no one came by to check on our party of five- I had to go to the counter to get to-go boxes and bags. It's close by to work, so I might come by another time. Lovely spot for Mexican food with fun vibes!…read more I came for Sunday brunch/lunch with some friends. I made a reservation through Yelp a couple days beforehand and there was plenty of availability. The restaurant is located right off Ventura Blvd and has an attached parking garage in the basement which can be accessed via the parking lot behind the restaurant. There were plenty of spots available Sunday afternoon when I came. It's a bit hidden, but there is an elevator from the garage to the top level where the restaurant is located as well. We had two babies in strollers with us, so I requested a table with plenty of space nearby for the strollers. They seated us outside on their covered patio, and indeed, we had plenty of space. I peeked inside and there's also a nice lounge area with a beautiful flower wall as well as a proper dining area. When we arrived, there was a live DJ spinning tunes. I assume he's there during brunch hours, as he left around 3 pm when brunch ended. I started with a frozen lime margarita ($12). It was okay; it felt like it was only half frozen as the ice wasn't blended that well. For my main, I got the famous Anejo carne asada and shrimp plate for $40. Yes it was pricy, but the portion size was also huge! I was starving and somehow managed to finish the plate, but it'd be a great dish to share for two people with small appetites. I really enjoyed it as well. I asked for the steak to be cooked rare, and they didn't overcook it. Each bite was super tender and flavorful and paired well with the rice. Everyone else also enjoyed their dish. One friend got the wet chicken burrito for $15 and it was massive! Another got the veggie fajitas with steak added and really enjoyed her dish as well. Solid food all around. I would love to come back on a weekday and try their happy hour! Sipping on $5 margaritas and $6 sangrias sounds like my idea of a great time!

Despite it being the middle of the day and a Tuesday it was still hard to find parking and we parked on the side streets and walked. The main entrance is not well marked and we were pointed to the side door. On entering it was nice and air conditioned and we were seated quickly. Menus are on the qr codes on the table but the menu is hard to scroll through because you have to click each different items to look at and then scroll down and up. We asked for regular menus to make it easier and we were given menus that had hole punches throughout from punching out all the prices because I'm assuming prices have gone up. I hope that they could make the virtual menu a little easier to look at since i think they might be phasing out their physical menus. While we waited on our order we were given delicious chips and spicy bean dip which were excellent. So delicious. For salsa we were directed to the salsa bar. While I think the bar is cool, the tiny cups to get salsa are too small. I would have liked the bean dip sized bowl to get enough, instead of having to get several tiny cups which are hard to scoop from with the chips. I orderd the #7 which was a cheese enchilada, a crunchy beef taco, and rice and beans. My friends ordered two different taquitos plates, one orderd a fajitas plate, and the youngest got cheese quesedilla. My food was delicious but the portion was so large that I could only eat the taco and take the rest to go! Same with My friends, everyone ate maybe a 3rd to a half of the plate and then we all needed to go boxes. Overall a very delicious visit!

My favorites are the green enchiladas and the spicy chipotle burrito, and the rice and beans are just as flavorful and delicious as the main entrees. Upon being seated, you are served a spicy and cheesy bean dip with fresh chips, and there is a salsa bar inside where you can fill up on your choice of salsas. I sat in the outside patio area in my most recent visit, and while the quality of the food didn't change, the service was not the greatest; my table and a couple of other tables had a difficult time flagging anyone down for refills, to go containers, or the bill. There's also a pretty big price difference between paying with card and paying with cash; multiple menu items were at least 3-4 dollars more if you plan to pay with card. Still, the food is good and if you're craving some hearty and comforting Mexican food, S&B is a good option.
