I liked the complimentary coffee bar while waiting for a table. Since I came with a couple of friends and didn't have reservations, we ended up waiting somewhere between 30 minutes to an hour before being seated. One of the biggest drawbacks was the restroom situation. There are only two gender neutral restrooms, and the wait was incredibly long. I waited close to 30 minutes just to use the restroom. It seemed like only one restroom may have been operational because I only noticed people coming out of one. For a business this large and as busy as it gets, I don't feel that's enough restroom accommodation. The first available table was outside, so we decided to take it. Unfortunately, it wasn't the best experience. There was nearby construction, making it very loud and difficult to carry on conversations amongst our table. It was also a windy and chilly day, and I definitely underestimated the weather. I should have brought a coat! We weren't in the sun so it was too chilly. The strong wind constantly blew napkins and other items around the table, which became frustrating. During cooler days, outdoor heaters would make the patio much more comfortable. Even though I was uncomfortable, our server was friendly and attentive to us. I ordered the Morning Edition breakfast, and it was excellent. I liked the variety of items included, everything tasted good, and the portion size was just right for me. I finished every bite and left satisfied. I really enjoyed the potatoes and cinnamon toast. I enjoyed my food and service was good, but if you're planning to visit on a Saturday morning, I would strongly recommend making reservations if possible. It could save you a long wait and potentially get you a better seating option.

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

We found street parking outside and once inside, I couldn't believe how pretty it was. I heard that it was recently renovated and it shows. It has plenty of seating, free wifi, and a television. I ordered the baby romaine salad with salmon and a side of fries. The salad was pretty much a caesar salad with parm, a crouton crumble, and black garlic dressing. It was a bit pricey and the wait was much longer than I anticipated given we were the only two people in the entire restaurant. That said, the portions were pretty big. The side of fries was enough for a couple people to munch on and the salmon and salad were packed full of flavor. While quite salty, I was satisfied. I would try more of their menu if I happened to be staying here, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return. Given that I'm from out of town and visit a few times a year, this is very well a possibility. I'll end by saying the menu listed off a number of local businesses they support by utilizing their product, a local bakery, a brand of cheese, and a juicery to name a few.

I loved that there was an outlet at every table, plus extra ones lining the booths. Such a nice touch! I ordered the caesar salad with grilled chicken and a side of fries. My colleague ordered the same but with salmon instead. The food took about 25 minutes to arrive, but the portions were huge! The fries came in a large bowl (definitely sharable), and the salads were also very generously sized. Protein portions were impressive, too. My salad was pretty good overall, though my colleague felt hers was a bit too salty. Ps-- Expect hotel level pricing!

FYI to those who may have a physical handicap the prevents climbing steps, there are 2 sets of steps to enter the building, I didn't see any handicap accessible entry when I went there. The area to order coffee was really small and could comfortably fit about 5 people in the line inside the ordering station. There were places to stand in the foyer to wait as well, but in my opinion even though there is an open space in the foyer you could be potentially blocking someone's walking space since the ordering station is next to the entrance and the seating areas are in the entryway. I ordered their seasonal From the Past Latte w/ matcha and whole milk. They mentioned that the wait time to receive the drink was 10 minutes, which was understandable with how busy they were, but to my surprise I actually received my drink in half that time. The drink tasted great and if I was still in the area I'd go there again. I definitely noticed for such a small space, the staff were efficient and moved quickly to get everyone their correct orders. All of them were very cordial and professional as well, so that was appreciated.

It is an apartment building. I didn't do my research prior but learned that it used to be a psych ward. Kinda cool. I got their seasonal coconut lavender latte and a signature Sammy. The drink was great, the sandwich took way too long to prepare (we're talking 30 minutes, no joke). I was only annoyed bc I was so hungry, other than that- I didn't care about the wait bc I had nowhere to be. Overall- If I was in the neighborhood and craving a yummy coff treat, I'd return- I did really like my drink.
