This is a true hidden gem. The coffee here is fantastic! I had a specialty latte here that contained blueberry syrup which i generally dislike.Turns out I'm not a blueberry hater after all! Thanks for converting me Cafe Calida! The space itself is actually bigger than it appears. There's plenty of seating and I think bringing a laptop would be okay.

So happy to have a great cafe in the area! The owner is super super friendly and the staff are all wonderful. Love the offerings and the atmosphere and definitely recommend it to anyone looking to try a new cafe.

Easy to miss from the outside, but don't skip it! Super bright and airy on the inside with a few tables right in the sunny front room as well as a bunch of working space in the back. Well made coffee drinks, sweet and savory treats, and friendly service.

Warm and inviting cafe in Humboldt Park with excellent coffee and bomb vegan donuts! We live in the neighborhood and were excited to check out Café Calidá. There's nothing like it in the neighborhood, our options are either very expensive drip coffee or Dunkin Donuts so this cafe is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The prices are very reasonable especially for the quality of the coffee. When you walk in there's the coffee bar and then a large open space in back with plenty of seating for hanging out or working. I tried the cafe con leche and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. The ube donut was also SO GOOD and vegan! Even if you're not vegan, it was better than a regular donut. They also had a lot of other flavors like maple, horchata and chocolate. If you're not a coffee lover they also have matcha and chai lattes! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood!

The drinks are delicious, service is personable, the ambiance is chill vibes, with music at a comfortable level so you can work or study with focus. Wi-Fi available with open seating. Highly recommend this place.

What a wonderful addition to our neighborhood! Came here on opening day and this spot just keeps getting better. I'm new to Chicago and the quality of espresso at Café Calidá is the best I've found so far on the west side. The baristas are extremely well-versed and the drink selection has been growing ever since they opened. The vegan donuts are delicious -- the right weight and texture, which is so hard to accomplish with a vegan pastry. The space is also beautiful inside. The front area is encased in floor-to-ceiling glass block windows, so you feel tucked away but still get to enjoy all of the bright sunlight. The back area is way bigger than you'd expect from the street and has plenty of comfortable seating to work, read or catch up with friends. Cafe con leche is my go-to, but the dirty chai is also a winner. I'd come here every day if I could!

Cafe Calida is dope! Love that me and the fam can walk here. They serve Passion House coffee and have pastries as well, which is a must with coffee obviously. Great seating options and the block windows up front are great with all the natural light they let in. The folks here are dope and so welcoming. Y'all need to come through and enjoy this place now! The person in the picture is Tracedyn and he used to be a barista and so if he's here you can be assured this place is worthy of your presence.

The decor is classic and cozy, and the coffee is genuinely excellent. I also love doing work here with their community tables. I usually don't like my lattes too sweet, but they nail the balance and flavor combinations every time. It is a bit sweet overall, but I'm not bothered by it? They really balance the flavor combinations really well, especially with the ghostly trio! Despite how busy it gets, the service is surprisingly quick, and somehow every drink still comes out consistently great. I honestly don't know how they manage it.

There was already a small line of guests with the same idea, but we were able to get on the waitlist. While waiting, we checked out the small coffee shop inside the gallery and browsed the furniture, which helped pass the time. Our wait was about an hour before being escorted to our table in the courtyard. Initially, we were placed at a low coffee table with couch seating. It's a cool lounge style setup, especially for drinks, but not ideal for a meal. It would have been pretty awkward trying to eat comfortably. We asked to be moved and were told that table preferences should be requested when joining the waitlist. Since it was my first time visiting, I wasn't aware of that, and it also wasn't asked by the hostess. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate us and moved us to a table in the wine cellar. The wine cellar had a completely different vibe, dark and moody, compared to the bright, airy courtyard with its beautiful glass ceiling and natural light. We ordered the lobster roll and the RH Burger, both with fries. The food came out fairly quickly and was well-presented. The lobster roll was served on a buttery brioche with just the right amount of seasoning, and the burger was juicy and flavorful. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely visit again.

Unfortunately for us we were a table for 3 and despite having mad that reservation weeks in advance were placed in what was obviously just 2 two tops pushed together. And not in the main atrium area. Look it was still a beautiful atmosphere and our company made it a lovely evening. Why don't they have a liquor license here? Ok the food. The burrata salad, so nice and summer fresh. We also had the crispy artichokes meh. What saved my night was the chicken salad. The crispy bits...amazing all through the salad. So good. Let's talk dessert, the butterscotch crème brûlée so good. Coffee and a port wine.... Good, but where is the cheese board. This place would benefit from real liquor and a desert cheese board. I mean I must believe that RH has a cheese board on offer somewhere. Anyway, nice evening and decent food in a mostly lovely place.

The menu is quite expansive, with a surprisingly large number of seasonal drinks, sweets are huge and cover everything from braids to breads to croissants, brownies, scones, and more! All the different flavors are covered from chocolate to pistachio to tiramisu, to fruits. Similarly on the menu everything from sandwiches to salads are covered for food -- and everything from lattes to matchas to smoothies to lemonade are covered for drinks! The sheer number of options alone makes this a fantastic spot to take friends, as all the different food and drink needs can be met by the same spot. Also important is how nice this spot is decorated. The look is very clean and modern, yet there are just enough paintings, foliage, and other decor items matched with premium looking seating to give visitors an upscale cafe feeling -- with fast and friendly service, but without high prices. Overall worth a visit if you're a cafe lover, or something looking to try to Palestinian food and drink options, on top of a full menu of all your favorites.

They had open a second location in Wicker Park and finally I was nearby enough to check it out. It was the day of my daughter's birthday party in Ukrainian Village so it was literally nearby. I've never been here before and want to try a specialty drink. I asked the barista what is your speciality drink, she looked at me dumbfounded so I had to rephrase what you are known for/popular drink. She recommend the Oud Latte. However to me the mint was way too powerful where it didn't work. My sister has been here before with the downtown location & she said it was so much better so than the wicker park one.

We started with a mocha, a solid, well-balanced drink that wasn't overly sweet and was just perfect. We didn't plan on eating here, but the menu was way too tempting. We ordered the cinnamon roll, and wow. This was insanely good. Most cinnamon rolls in the U.S. feel like sugar-heavy, cinnamon-flavored buns, but this one was light, flavorful, and beautifully made. The irimshik on top really elevated it, subtle, warm, and just sweet enough. Easy 10/10. Next was the cottage cheese pancake, which was also very good. It had a generous amount of cottage cheese stuffed inside, and paired with the sweet irimshik dip, the dish came together really well. 9/10. We then tried the qattama. It was good. flaky, crispy, and reminded me of a paratha. It came with a sour irimshik dip. While each component was good, I felt the qattama would shine more with a gravy-based dish. 7/10. Finally, we ordered the Nan Salma pasta. It's a tarry-based white sauce pasta with a unique flavor profile, and it was genuinely yum. Definitely something different and worth trying. Highly recommend it. 8/10. You have space to sit down and work as well. Service was good too. Some of the dishes might take 7-10mins to get prepared.
