Stopped by Cafe Marguerite for breakfast and was really impressed. I ordered a coffee and the croissant sandwich, which came with a side of fresh berries, and everything was absolutely delicious. The croissant was flaky, the sandwich was packed with flavor, and the berries were a nice touch that tied everything together. The cafe has a cozy atmosphere, but it can get pretty busy and seating is somewhat limited, so you may have to wait a bit during peak hours. Even with that, the food and coffee were well worth it, and I'll definitely be back.

Now that I am retired, I was able to make some time to actually eat something on the premises. I even thought I might do the patio, but we have had our first frost , so I picked a spot by the big window. The house across the street still had living wildflowers, so that was nice to look at. My order arrived very quickly. It was the quiche I was curious to try, but the salad was a standout with baby greens and colorful additions. The quiche had a silky texture for the filling, and the crust was not soggy- I have made enough quiches myself to know that takes some attention to detail!

Brilliant bougie joint. Fine pastries, sandwiches, soups. Good barista drinks. Really nice seating area, cute as can be.

My dog Sienna wants my croissant so bad.

Best Croissants in Minnesota! Really tasty sandwiches, the breakfast sandwich on a croissant is my favorite. Great pastries too, their blueberry danish was amazing. My go-to drink has been the iced Vanilla Lavender Latte with oat milk. The staff is so friendly, personable, and welcoming. Best hidden gem of the Northeast. Do not sleep on this place!

The food is still delicious and the service is fine. What's disappointing is the jump in cost for breakfast sandwiches and the removal of the a la carte option. Picking up a breakfast sandwich to go used to be a little expensive at $9, but now it's $17 before tax ($18.53 after tax) because the side salad or berries are no longer optional. This option has also increased from $14.50 before tax. The economic challenges are real right now, but it seems that these changes make Café Marguerite less accessible.

I wasn't a fan of their pastries. I thought they tasted a bit old. The vibe in here is nice though. Would be a nice place to meet up with friends or a date. Coffee was decent.

Overall: Been here twice, both times thought "I would definitely come back!" Food + Drink: My husband got a mocha and I have gotten 2 different iced lattes when coming in. I've enjoyed both! I think they use Dogwood coffee, so I'm not sure if it's a reflection of La Boulangerie or the coffee they use. Either way, yum! We've also enjoyed their chocolate croissants. Is it the best ever? No. Is it top 5 what we've had locally? I think so!! Busyness: So inconsistent. Came in around 9a on a Saturday, stood in line, but tables open - a lot of people get pasties to go. A few minutes pass...a rush of people: almost on a schedule, ha! Vibe: Cute for a meet up, a work from home, to bring a game, or a date. Just lots of people in and out. Service: This was probably my biggest peeve... They just seemed...scatter brained. I saw several staff take orders to wrong tables, one worker spilled my drink because she dropped it so hard on my table, and we got our pastries heated up and our drinks for "here" and he put them in a to go bag ???? Just felt like they could have been a little more considerate of their customers who paid $25 for 2 drinks and 2 croissants. Anyways, it's close to where we live and a nice treat. Just not my favorite experience.

Nice to have a patisserie on this side of town. I've visited twice in one week. First visit 8am on Monday, not very busy. Second, Mid- morning on a Friday very busy. Thankfully the line moves along well. Here's what I've tried. Chai latte... tasty not overly sweetened, and light on the spices. Ham and Cheese Croissant... flaky, buttery and can be heated upon request. Friand au Boef... can also be heated. Contains ground beef, carmalized onions and mushrooms (at least it tastes like it). Lemon poppy seed scone... light on the lemon flavor, and not too sweet. It's very crumbly so probably best eaten with a fork. Overall, great place to grab a bite, a drink, meet with friends, have a date, or get some work done.

I had high hopes for this beautiful french-style bakery with its lovely interior decor and pastry options. Sadly, the pastry and drink we tried were both very underwhelming. The danish lacked all the light, airy, flakiness I'd expect and instead was incredibly dense. The chaider tasted like a basic cider that was barely warmed up - the drink arrived at our table lukewarm although the mug it was in was quite hot. It was an incredibly busy Sunday morning when I visited, so perhaps that contributed to the experience. Service was curt - not a dealbreaker for me. Street parking was easy enough to find! Overall, I can't say I'd recommend going out of your way to visit, but it might be fine if you're in the area.

It definitely woke me up. :) I would recommend if you are someone who likes not too sweet, nutty, and not too bitter teas. We both enjoyed the Tibetan momos -- the meat filling ones are definitely soupier which was enjoyable. The veggie dumplings tasted better with more of the chili crisp oil. The curry was flavorful but not too salty which I do feel like lots of Asian American/fusion dishes can become around here in Minnesota. The Hmong sausage was well seasoned and grilled and paired well with the sticky rice. The sausage reminds me of Taiwanese sausage but is heftier and more substantial. It was cool to be at the bar and see into the kitchen. Service was very quick overall and the bartenders gave some great suggestions for drinks. Tom kha lemonade - refreshing, somewhere between a tom kha soup and key lime pie almost. Was debating between this and the 3Leches botanical drinks (maybe one of these another time!) They are obviously very socially and environmentally conscious. The servers were very friendly. The burrito was more like an enclosed panini with sides of salsa and sour cream. While I ate 2/3rds of it, I cannot say that I enjoyed it all that much, especially for the $13 price. On the other hand, the maple latte and apple fritter were divine, if a little over-priced (although, what isn't, nowadays?).
