First time here and was interested to try Halo Halo somewhere other than Jollibee. I asked about the Mais Con Yellow or whatever it's called since it was in the Halo Halo section. Worker told me it was the same thing, but with corn kernels at the bottom. It was NOT the same ingredients of the Halo Halo - didnt have jackfruit or any of the colorful jellies. Lets start with the service: Grace is literally the sweetest! She helped me over the phone with the phone order and it was more than just 2 things it was several. She helped me when it was a time that was busy, so for her to remember what order is which and which order for what bag, the greatest! And when I left with the wrong order, she was kind to call back and let me know that the order wasnt mine rather than me finding out and later dealing with that. So for that, thank you! For the food: words cant express how much their baked goods is my FAVORITE! Their ube truffle, and the ube leche flan cupcake is my usual go-to order! No complaints there! Lastly: ambiance is a very well lit place. Kinda dim kinda bright more of a chill study vibe. It also helps that the cafe has a bunch of windows so natural lighting comes from there. I ordered a tiger milk tea. The drink was a bit too bland for my taste. I did ask the employee to make it sweeter which they added a pump of cane sugar but it really wasn't hitting the spot. I didn't want to trouble them with adding more pumps so I just said thanks and went about my night. I think they may need to use a higher concentration of flavoring. First time here! I can say the staff is very friendly! Place is incredibly clean! Spotless even. Downfalls: The pastrami sandwich was disappointing--too skinny and overpriced. I compared pictures to the chino hills cafe 86, and they are more are more filled. Flavor made up for the some of the disappointment. Churrochi: also VERY skinny. I paid $10.50 for a very disappointing upside down halo halo. Initially the few first bites were delicious. I enjoyed the vanilla ice cream, flan and ube base and cornflakes until I reached the bottom and found it to just be full of jellies. The description on the website describes the upside down halo halo as this, "Signature Ube base Halo Halo. Includes Coconut Jellies, Jack Fruit, Boba, Frosted Flakes, Scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream and Flan." There was no Bobo or jackfruit in my upside down halo halo. There was an Americanized halo halo, I miss the beans, nata de coco, macapuno, etc. while I liked the concept of this, I was left missing the traditional ingredients.
