1/2 Albacore Tuna Sandwich with a side of potato leak soup

Cafe Alexander is a great little spot for breakfast and lunch for dine in and take out. Colleagues and I have been coming in pretty consistently and all have been happy. We appreciate the friendliness, consistency and the value. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside features several tables and a communal table with some stools. The outdoor area is made up of the front patio which features a few tables. Breakfast wise they have some various scrambles, omelettes, some various pancake dishes, burritos, sandwiches and some other items. For lunch they have various salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, melts, a few pastas and some other items. They usually feature some kind of special too. I've stuck to their sandwiches, fries and their soups mostly. All have been too good to pass up. They're only open M-F I believe from 7am-4pm.

What a gem! I'm so glad I was in the area and looking for lunch. The owners are so kind and the food is delicious! I got the half sandwich half soup, egg salad sandwich and chicken pozole -- SOO GOOD! And so fairly priced especially in Beverly Hills. This will be my go to from now on whenever I'm in the area. The menu is huge! And while I was there, they had many regulars come in, which is a good sign IMO!

Very low quality food. Unacceptably low. Cheap ingredients, stinky greasy oil. Most definitely will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their health. This little nook is located on the first floor of a big building packed with medical offices where I'm sure many come for lunch from. I was here for breakfast burritos twice and regretted both times. I didn't even finish the food during my second visit. Half of the burrito went into garbage. Going to give them an extra star for the girl at the register being extremely polite but that's where any good feedback stops. Sorry, Never again.

Food is delicious and the service if phenomenal. One of the best cafes is Beverly Hills. The owner is so friendly and personable, she can provide recommendations which you can't go wrong with any item on the menu. I have been coming here for 2 years straight during my lunch break. They are the best

I'm so over this over priced place. Cafe Alexander is one of those work restaurants that are pricey and low quality but you pay because that's the only place in the building to go. This place is so not worth it. I would at least hope they had decent food for what they charge. 1st the lady at the front is not pleasant at all. She picks and chooses who she wants to be pleasant to. 2nd you can not tweak anything on the menu. I was told I HAD to have eggs in my breakfast burrito or the burrito wouldn't close. So you mean to tell me most of the burritos are out for vegans? Girl what? Then I order a scramble with cheddar cheese. The literally sprinkle the tiniest amount onto the scramble. 3rd. They say they charge $1.50 for 1 can of soda (which is already ridiculous), then at check out they tax a can of fucking soda and it comes to $1.59. I'm so over this place and I rather do the walk to Mickey Fine's. Also they used to put two hash brown in the scramble. Now its 1 but still the same price. They seriously need to get over themselves. **Update. Found hair more than half way through my scramble. I'm over it.***

The outdoor setting was perfect for people-watching, adding to the laid-back vibe of the place. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. I decided to try the Dialog Breakfast Burrito, which has soft scrambled eggs, kielbasa sausage, and melted cheddar; crispy hash browns to add crunch, and the house-made spicy ketchup provides a zesty kick. I also enjoyed a Madagascar vanilla latte and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Let me tell you, the breakfast burrito was fantastic! The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the flavors blended beautifully. A special shout-out to Annika, who recommended the vanilla latte--it truly was heavenly! They use house-made vanilla syrup, which elevated the drink to a whole new level. While we didn't order it, I must mention the BLT that the table next to us had. It looked and smelled amazing, and they confirmed it was as good as it appeared. If you're looking for a chill spot with great food and friendly service, Dialog is definitely worth a visit!

I'm not a French fry person (i don't order because i try to stay away from fried food) and it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - seasoned perfectly and pairs well with the aioli sauce. The eggs and morning plates are some of my favorite things here for breakfast and i love their croissants and cookies!! We decided to follow his advice on the morning of the WeHo PRIDE parade and figured we should make a reservation since we thought it might be busier than usual. It was only a ten-minute walk from our hotel, and although it wasn't that crowded when we arrived, it was just nice to get a table right away. Consisting of two sunroom-style dining areas separated by an open patio, the space is definitely an LA-chic brunch kind of place. It' wasn't our usual scene, but we decided to go with the upscale vibe even if it felt a bit pricey. The menu highlighted their artisan coffees, so Jamie ordered the $5.95 Iced Latte with a $1 Mexican Mocha chaser. I went for the $7 Iced Lavender Breeze Latte, a combination of an espresso blend, lavender, and coconut (Photo 6). They were both fanciful, flavorful, and very LA-style drinks. We then shared the $15 Homemade Cornbread, a cast-iron skillet version with a heaping amount of lard in the mix plus cultured butter and honey on the side. They even shaved rows of kernels on top (Photo 10). Tasty and kinda decadent. To offset that indulgence, Jamie first went for the refreshing $7 Fruit Cup of berries, melon, and grapes (Photo 8). He then ordered the $17 California Cobb Salad. It was a healthy bountiful of butter & romaine lettuce, egg, chicken, heirloom tomato, bacon, red onion, chives, avocado, and gorgonzola, drizzled with dijon mustard vinaigrette (Photo 9). I went a more traditional breakfast route and ordered the $23 Parisian Soft Omelette, eggs cooked to a velvety consistency and topped with buerre blanc and chives. It came with roast potatoes and grilled sourdough toast (Photo 7). Sated in true SoCal style. Fries were good this time, but I would go without the pizza in the future. On their final opening night I arrived too early; forgetting that dinner didn't start for an hour so I had the fries (again) while waiting for dinner. Thankfully, the order was put in a little earlier and I was able to enjoy the Penne alla Vodka. I was on the fence about the 20-Layer Cake but I ended up caving in, getting it to go for later. Unlike the first time I got this, they now had a perfect, custom box for the slice to fit whereas before they had to cut the cake in half to fit it into the box they had at the time. I know the New York location has delivery/to-go only, but there is still the Las Vegas one. However, after we raved about our multiple dining experiences at LAVO Las Vegas, we were surprised to learn that none of our relatives had ever dined at the restaurant's Los Angeles location. So, when the opportunity arose, I made an after-Christmas dinner reservation through OpenTable and excitedly waited. We knew exactly where LAVO Los Angeles was located, as we had frequently driven past the Sunset Medical Tower on Sunset Boulevard and had eaten at the same restaurant space before it changed hands several times over the past decade or so. They offer valet service, which only accepts credit card payments, and because of the restaurant's location, you might as well use the service, because you'd be hard-pressed to find street parking. Our group of six arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes before our reservation and were greeted by a friendly hostess who asked whether we were ready to be seated or preferred to wait in the bar. We chose to be seated, and she escorted us into the quiet, warm, yet festively decorated dining room. The busser approached us, took our water service request, and informed us about who our server would be. Our server, Addison, came to our table while the busser refilled our water glasses and offered assorted citrus slices to flavor them. After my brother-in-law showed Addison the magnum of wine he brought and asked if the sommelier could uncork the bottle, since it was not only a 2006 vintage but also had a long, possibly fragile cork, even though they kept the bottle in their personal wine storage. Unfortunately, they didn't have a sommelier on duty, and Addison informed us of the restaurant's impending end-of-year closure and confidently said she could uncork it with her trusty corkscrew. However, my brother-in-law decided to give it the "ol' college try" and successfully uncorked the bottle. FOOD: -Fritto Misto: a platter of lightly battered and fried zucchini, shrimp, calamari, and vinegary peppers with marinara was delivered to our table and was quickly shared and devoured. Everyone felt the fritto misto was light, delicious, and perfectly cooked. $28 -The Meatball: We've often seen this appetizer ordered at the Las Vegas site, but we never ordered it because we felt it was too much food to share between us. However, now that we had our family surrounding us, we ordered it. The 16-oz meatball is made with fresh-ground imperial Wagyu, Italian sausage, and veal. It is served with whipped ricotta and marinara. We shared the tender, toothsome meatball among us and sopped up the sauce with garlic bread. $34 -Semolina Sesame Garlic Bread: Addison highly recommended this garlic bread to pair with The Meatball and sipping on our Cabernet blend wine. The lightly grilled-toasted loaf was served with three dipping sauces (marinara, basil pesto, & Gorgonzola dolce). $18 -Zitoni Genovese: braised short rib, sweet onions, pecorino Romano. I received a generous portion of Neapolitan or Sicilian zitoni pasta (larger ziti tubes) and an intensely flavorful, tomato-wine-based, fall-apart tender, slow-braised short ribs ragù. This comfort-food pasta dish was so rich and filling that I could barely eat half the portion and ended up bringing home leftovers. $33 -Faroe Island Salmon Oreganato: My husband cut into the salmon filet, which had a light crisp coating of breadcrumbs and revealed the fillet's tender medium-rare doneness. The rich, buttery-tasting salmon filet sat atop a melange of sautéed vegetables and was dressed with a lemon, white wine, and garlic butter sauce. My husband jokingly said he could feel his heart health improving with each bite. $39 The rest of my family ordered their own entrees, and when we were nearly finished with our meals, we decided to share a dessert. We ordered the luscious 20 Layer Chocolate Cake ($29), and each of us commented on the "decadence" of chocolate, peanut butter, and mascarpone. During our dining experience, Addison informed us that LAVO Los Angeles would sadly be closing at the end of the year. We were happy to have supported this restaurant, and it was great to see so many others show their support during the Holidays.

Two days ago Los Angeles Magazine published the following article by Leo Li:…read morehttps://share.google/HxL9oDf3vhjQAtjRF "Where to Watch the World Cup in Los Angeles," looking through it I found The Henry; a place in my neighborhood. The write-up on The Henry makes it sound like a fun place to watch a game after work. I called in advance to make sure that the information in the write up was accurate. I was told that they expected heavy traffic for the game and dinner service. I inquired about a reservation near the bar with a view of the game. I was informed that the "high top" tables near the screens were already booked but that I was welcomed to sit at the bar as available. Up to that point I hadn't heard anything that I wasn't prepared to hear particularly on a Friday during the World Cup so I took a chance had went there with a friend hoping to have a great time. We arrived shortly before 5pm to enjoy a bit of the happy hour menu before dinner. We were greeted and offered a table by the bar near the screens with the condition that we needed to be done by 6:30. Well that wasn't going to work because the game started at 6pm. We sat ourselves at the end of the bar about 20 feet from the two tv screens...perfect! The good: the space is beautiful. Warm pretzel bites with fondue were amazing. The garlic fries were crispy. The Sangria was delicious. The bad: bar service was minimal despite a sparse crowd at the bar. I had to reach across the bar counter to grab myself drink coasters for my Sangria, beer, water and my friend's beverage because the condensation kept dripping on my clothes. The bar tender never bothered to come back and check how my cocktail was as most bar tenders do. The fact that there were three makes it more astounding. The really bad: there was a power outage in the restaurant (not the entire block) 5 minutes before kickoff. 10-15 minutes into the game the power came back on but only one tv was functional. Early on there was a bit of a rush to rectify the matter but as time went on, it seemed to become a non-issue despite concern from those around the bar that we couldn't watch the game. No apologies were offered by management at the time. Not even water was offered a jester of good faith while they sorted out the issue. Like a few others, we decided to cut our losses and left at half time. The buzz at the bar was to meet at Lucky Strikes to finish watching the game. Prior to leaving I approached a woman who seemed concerned with the tv malfunction and asked if she was part of the management. She responded that she was and I proceeded to explain my utter disappointment in the experience. She looked profoundly distraught with my observations...At least that's what I told myself in order to not feel like this had been a complete waste of time. We left without having dinner while watching the game. What a shame because the menu sounded appealing. Oh, BTW the high top table in front of the tv was still vacant by the time we left at half time. Not sure it would've mattered because the tv was malfunctioning anyway. I am truly puzzled by what made the author of the article think that The Henry would be a great place to catch a game of any sort. Our server, the space, decor, location and menu items we tried were amazing. The overall attention to detail, attentiveness to customers and overall experience was not one that I would recommend on a Friday night during the World Cup. CLEARLY, the author missed his mark on this one. Oddly enough, we ran into four others from The Henry at Lucky Strikes. No electricity/media issues there.
