I have eaten at Cafe Alfresco for years and years (for lunch only) and have had consistently good food with sometimes great service. The salmon salad is wonderful with a good sized portion of blackened salmon over a bed of greens with tomatoes, kalamata olives and artichokes with a light vinaigrette. My other favorite is the bowl of creole (their version of jambalaya). Not overly spicy, but a few dashes of hot sauce and it is wonderful. Ask for rolls and butter if your server doesn't offer. Weekly lunch crowds tend to be local business people and the "outside" seating does fill up quickly. Great place for a business lunch. read more

My brother in law wanted to take the family here during Thanksgiving Holiday. So went the day after. I must say, there was 6 of us and the food was absolutely delicious. We got the pastrami and it was delicious not to mention the potato salad too. We then ended up getting the blueberry pie which was out of this world. Given the number of stars this restaurant received on yelp, we relied on that and went to dinner here Saturday night. The fried chicken was too salty and overcooked, the mashed potatoes were cold, the chicken marsala was too salty, and the marinara sauce on the pasta did not have good flavor. The eggplant Parmesan was good. The service was not good and the vegetables served with everything were frozen vegetables that tasted horrible. $75 plus tax and tip was far too much for that meal! read more

We really enjoyed our experience. We were met right away and promptly taken to our seating preference out on the patio. Our server was very attentive and friendly. All servers were wearing masks. The portions are very big. We split the chicken piccata and it still filled both plates and we took another full serving home. For a restaurant with such a diverse menu, it is impressive that they pull everything off so well. We have been about 5 times and always had a good experience: friendly wait staff, clean and pleasant atmosphere, quick service and most importantly, tasty food! This time our family got the Asian tuna salad (fish and veggies were very fresh), fish and chips (EXCELLENT, the fries were particularly good) and chicken curry (good for a non-indian restaurant). Some places don't realize just how important presentation is. Whoever plated my food takes pride in their work. Then I noticed the meat was nice and lean with barely any fat. It had a pad of seasoned butter on top which was also nice. Ordered mid rare and cooked right on the money. It was a very tasty meal all around. I would've paid $24 for that plate if the strip was maybe an ounce or two larger. But very happy at $21. My wife had chicken marsala with mushrooms. I had some of it. Another tasty dish. Let me add this was a Thursday evening and within 20 minutes of us being seated, the place was full. On a Thursday. Apparently we came just at the right time. We will absolutely be back. The salad has become so generic and really don't enjoy brown lettuce. I ordered chicken Marsala it basically was slop on a plate, and why would you put a steak knife with chicken.
