One of my favorite cafes in Bellevue! I love the wide variety of drinks on their menu. They have a lot of unique speciality drinks and seasonal drinks that rotate on their menu. I especially love their pastries and food items including the charsiu bolo bao sandwich and piggy buns! They are always adding new things so keep a look out for that! Their prices are pretty reasonable as well considering it is in Bellevue. There is street parking. Service has always been nice and the interior is very clean and spacious! Coffee and tea options are curious, baristas are nice, it's open in the afternoon, and it's got space to chat or to possibly to study. I brought my co-workers here for a break. One issue though: With it being Earth month I brought in my reusable mug. They didn't want to fill it. There was a misunderstanding about me wanting to avoid single use plastics. They ultimately accommodated by using a paper cup instead. It was a nice gesture (supposedly recycled by the County) but unfortunately paper cups are typically lined with plastic. With the pandemic having come and gone every other cafe I've been to this year has used my (clean) mug. So I was surprised to be turned down here. Everything was really yummy, the Hong Kong milk tea really tasted like it was Hong Kong style and all the other dishes tasted amazing. My family is from Macau which is right next to Hong Kong and it kinda reminded me of food from Macau which made me really nostalgic and happy. I saw the piggy buns and there was no turning back. Everything here is just so cute. I tried all of the bread pastries except for the Pork Buns because they were out of it. However, they did have the crispy pork bun. I loved the Sausage Bun, Crispy Pork Bun and the Green Onion Bun. You have to try all of these! They will not disappoint. The Piggy Buns had 3 different flavors and they're sweeter. I thought they were okay. The Creme Brûlée Egg Tart was really good! I also got a Caramel Latte and a Coconut Vietnamese Iced Coffee and they were both okay. There are more drinks that I would like to try. I'm pleasantly surprised at how good the crispy bbq pork bun was. The Hong Kong milk tea was a little watered down and would like a stronger tea taste so I would order with light ice next time but overall I would come again hands down!!! Maybe try the Hong Kong sandwich or the egg tarts! read more

Lower caffeine content being tea and all. Vietnamese iced coffee was a bit of a disappointment. Reading the reviews I noticed others prefer more condensed milk. Absolutely fantastic. This store may look like a typical coffee shop but their products are pretty diverse and on par with good quality dimsum restaurants (They only have 蝦餃 and 燒賣 now tho, but they are a CAFE after all). I love all their egg tarts and buns. The crispy BBQ pork bun is one of the best I've had in Seattle (comparable to 85c). I haven't tried their drinks yet but I'm sure they are just as good. First of all such a cute place! I loved the decor. It's so clean and modern looking. Love that they have so many plants too. I got a recommendation of this place on yelp. To be very honest the piggy buns drove me here. They just look so freakin cute!! I work close to the place so we went here this Friday for a quick snack. The location is not the best. I don't think I would've found it just walking around in downtown. We tried the onion bun, crispy barbecue pork bun, custard piggy bun and I also got their matcha latte. My favorite was the crispy barbecue bun. It's so tasty!! The top is crispy, inside is perfectly soft and the pork is delicious. Would recommend this! The piggy bun was good. Not life changing but good! The onion one was my least favorite. Didn't taste like onion much. The latte was great. The matcha flavor is quite strong though, which is either great or not great based on if you enjoy the flavor of matcha. Overall lots of good things about this one. My girlfriend and I are so so happy to have found this place because of the cheese tarts! They are certified bomb.com tasty treats. We first learned about them from food show about Portugal, where they have cheese tarts called pasteis. We were in sf and found a version there and finally got to taste how good they are. Cafe aloe has original, matcha and creme brûlée. They are all so delicious and I don't know which one is my favorite. I've had the pork bun and the little hot dog bun and those are great little bites too. I haven't gotten them again though as I would rather be full of the cheese tarts. I chose an iced drink and a pastry that seemed like they would be light, and got exactly what I was hoping for! Next time I'd like to try a savory food option, as the caffeine really packed a punch on me. If you are looking for a nice study place or a casual place to meet up with some friends, I highly recommend this cute cafe! The area itself is quite spacious and has good lighting. It's very clean and minimalistic with lots of succulents and plants decorating each table. The service itself was also very efficient and workers were super kind--being willing to explain their menu and answer any questions with patience! For drinks, we ordered the Hong Kong Lemon Tea and Mint Cold Brew; they were refreshing and pretty standard. They also have a variety of pastries but we got all three types of piggy buns (custard, molten custard, and taro paste) and two egg tarts (seasonal: egg white and matcha), which were all warmed up when served. Although I think the buns and egg tarts were slightly on the pricier side, given the instagram-able look and aesthetics of the cafe, I think that it was pretty reasonable and would come back again! The other downside is just that parking is pretty limited to free street parking right outside the store, or you could otherwise look elsewhere in the downtown Bellevue area. read more

Cute and new little café in downtown Bellevue that serves amazing Pineapple Bun breakfast sandwiches. I stole a couple bites from my friend's Spam and Egg sammie and let me tell you, the egg is THICK. I also watched them assemble the sandwich and blowtorch the cheese. I'll probably update my review but here is my first experience which is a three stars: This is located on the first floor of Cerasa. Very clean, beautiful modern cafe. However service wasn't super friendly. I was barely acknowledged and got a weird vibe. You know when you walk in and the folks behind the counter say nothing and just kind of stare? This was it. Also not sure if it was because it was July 3rd, Friday before a holiday, but the case was very empty with only a couple of tarts and pork buns on display. I ordered a vanilla oat milk latte (they don't have hazelnut flavoring) and an original tart. The late tasted bland and the coffee a little like water, the tart was fresh with a generous serving of custard, but not as sweet as I would've liked. If you've been to Portugal, this is like a less sweet variation of pastel de Nata. Like I mentioned, I'll give this place another chance to see if the service is better next time and will check out their pork buns! read more

The wait was too long when I ordered buns, shumai, HK sandwich. I had to wait for 25 minutes - definitely not a usual wait time for a coffee shop business. No utensils given when ordering to go (guess I should have asked?) so I had to eat shumai with my fingers. Piggy bun and HK sandwich were pretty good but not impressive. Shumai is so so, kinda have a strange taste - some areas are salty and some are plain. It's just really off. HK sandwich is $10.50, too pricey for just a spam and egg sandwich.
