We drove up from Delaware. Location was nice. Staff were very friendly. It's a diner style restaurant. It can very crowded on weekends and u have to wait outside or in your car. The wait area is very small. The food was great and fast service. The French toast was very good. The sausage and eggs were good the grits were ok. In all good experience.

I have been wanting to try this place for SO LONG, and I finally convinced my one friend to come with me. The service was excellent. Everybody was so kind to us and did whatever they could to give us a great dining experience. Now onto the food: I was a bit skeptical of the chilaquiles, mainly because the only time I've ever had them, were in Mexico and I am very picky with my chilaquiles. I like to order them with red sauce usually, but they were all out so I got salsa verde instead. The green sauce does not look as appealing in my opinion, but the flavor was amazing! I also got to try some of my friend's arepas, and they were also very tasty! I wouldn't mind coming back to Cafe Americana to try more of their menu items!

If you are looking to grab a bite to eat before going to Longwood Gardens, stop here for breakfast! The breakfast burritos were top-notch, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant and bathrooms were very clean

This is my favorite breakfast place in Kennett Square. It is open every morning and you can choose to sit outside where trains sometimes pass by which are very close. The best choices are French toast, pancakes, and omelettes. The first two optionally come with fruits which are always fresh. The staff is consistently cheerful and friendly and they will remember you from your previous visits. I went three times during the past few weeks; at the last meal I chose the delicious mushroom soup. There is more than enough parking in the little mall where the restaurant is located.

What an awesome little cafe! First off it's so clean, cutest decorations and super friendly staff! They have an adorable Fall menu with lots of added selections. The food was incredible and so cheap! We will definitely be adding this into our rotation and can't wait to dine here again!

This is a nice spot in Kenneth Square to eat at. We had brunch here. It wasn't very crowded thankfully and we got a table around noon without issues. The restaurant was nicely decorated with fall-seasoned touches. I had an omelette and my husband had their "fancy" French toast which was drizzled with Nutella and peanut butter goodness, strawberries and blueberries and tasted great. I thought it was a little odd that ketchup was given to me in a tiny container when I requested it for my home fries especially since I saw at least 10 full size ketchup containers on the counter. There was a full size container of mustard at our table but I can't see mustard being as widely used as ketchup. I also didn't notice until we were leaving that a bulletin board near the front of the restaurant featured specials, something you can't see at all from the back of the restaurant where we were seated, nor did the waitress make any mention of them. Those small things aside, we had a nice dining experience here.

Stopped in for breakfast, no complaints here. They have lots of good options, but I went with an egg and cheddar on white bread with pork roll. Sandwich was pretty good, very filling, eggs were cooked perfectly over easy, sandwich was cheesy. Bread was a touch over toasted. Also ordered a side of bacon - 4 crispy strips for a couple bucks. Overall a decent breakfast, but a little pricey ($10 for the sandwich and an extra protein side).

We also had one dirty martini and two other cocktails at our table and everyone enjoyed their drinks. The charcuterie board was a nice assortment and came out with slices of toasted bread that was probably sourdough and quite good. The wings were good and came out well done and with the sauces on the side as requested. Very tasty. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive as was the food runner. My friend commented that it reminded her very much of the pubs she'd been in when she visited Ireland. I don't think you could give a bigger compliment to an Irish pub!

Ordered two of the small plates and the highlight was the Thai shrimp. They were huge (12s?) and just fried crispy enough. The chicken wings got the job done. Came with 9, but my GLP drugs only tolerated 6. Overall I would try again, but with Bulleit Rye and just the shrimp. Or the fish and chips.

My wife and I stopped by for dinner - our first time there. We got the seasonal iced tea and…read moresangria to drink, both were complex and delicious. The menu is innovative and one of a kind. We couldn't limit our picks and started with the Grilled Kennett Square mushrooms, Camembert with carrot caramel foam, and the chilled pea soup with mint. We also ordered the Nashville hot catfish and curry soft shell crab. The caramel foam was delicious and paired perfectly with the cheese and bread. The pea soup was refreshing and harmonized well. The mushrooms were simply delightful. The catfish was cooked extremely well, with the crust (with a corn meal crust?) remaining crunchy and the fish juicy, with the seasonings on point and spicy. The curry soft shelled crab was the winner among many winning choices and was perfect. We couldn't stop raving about it. We enjoyed it so much, we overindulged and ordered the lamb. The meat was exceptionally soft, even for rack of lamb. Unable to resist the dessert menu, we finished with the rhubarb sorbet with basil water and granola. My wife is not a fan of rhubarb or basil, but also loved the dessert and its balance and uniqueness. The service was excellent and attentive, and the restaurant is very cute and cozy. My wife has worked in restaurants for years and we were both thoroughly impressed by the execution and care for all the items we ordered. It's one thing to have a creative and unique menu, it's another thing entirely to have that level of execution for it. Thank you!
