I can see why Café Arthur's has been around for over 30 years. The staff is friendly and they offer a reasonably priced breakfast. My son and I came for breakfast before school and had a lovely visit. I had one of their breakfast combos which included eggs, sausage, and a pancake. Everything was really good. My son had a grilled chicken sandwich which he loved. We plan to come back and try more of their.

This little diner will give you all the nostalgia feels. Home cooked comfort food. Large menu to choose from. The service is the best!

What a great local and bustling diner! We've been several times for breakfast and lunch and it is always consistently solid and with fast, friendly, and efficient staff. The pancakes, on those days when I need some carbs, are my "go to". But their daily specials are outstanding and a great value.

We barely waited 5 minutes for a table, and the friendly staff made us feel right at home. We ordered their "pork loin platter" with eggs and hash browns, plus the savory "steak medallion platter" with eggs and toast. Every bite was delicious and definitely hit the spot! If you're looking for classic Americana food that's fast, friendly, and budget-friendly, this is your go-to place! Perfect for those busy days ahead.

May I suggest Cafe' Arthur's. They have a new breakfast and brunch menu that you will want to try. The Breakfast Patty Melt is one of the new items on the menu and it's filling and delicious! I'm not a big meat eater, so when you get a five-star from me that means it was really good! The Patty Melt has grilled onions, egg, and American cheese on grilled rye bread with one side. I'd also like to suggest the Cappuccino with a hint of vanilla. Linda made me a cup and it was perfect! Britt and I shared it. This is the kind of place where you want to bring the fam or friends and enjoy familiar foods with a twist. Every picture has a story to tell and these photos show that fresh food & family recipes and prices are at the heart of Cafe' Arthur's. While this Cafe is one of the oldest restaurants in Winston-Salem, the locals have been coming here for years. I believe the foodies have discovered this gem and are sharing it with their friends so that tourists and locals can both enjoy good food and great service! Big Thank you to Cafe' Arthur's for always providing an enjoyable experience! This diner style cafe is one of my favorite places in WS!

Cafe Arthurs is one of my favorite breakfast spots. I normally order the smoke sausage but this morning I was craving country ham and grits. The country ham was huge and tender. I got my eggs scrambled and opted for grits instead of my normal chunky hash browns. Everything was great except the grits. It was bland with a weird taste to it. Not sure if they add milk or cream but I prefer water, salt and butter in my grits. I do recommend the country ham but I will skip the grits next time. You can get a biscuit or toast as well. Good food at a reasonable price.

Went back in to try some of their other offerings, I got a veggie burrito this time around and their spanikopita! The burrito was so good, all the flavors blended well together. And the spanikopita was delicious as well!

We stopped in Cafe Arthur's for the first time over the weekend. We came about 10:30am for breakfast and it was pretty busy! I love the design of the restaurant, it's a great atmosphere. I got the chicken biscuit for breakfast, which was delicious. The chicken was very juicy. My husband got the omelet, which did have two egg shells in there. Other than that, breakfast was great! Will definitely be coming back.

I wanted to grab breakfast in between two doctor's appointments and remembered I had not been here in quite awhile. Nestled in the beautiful Ardmore neighborhood, this cozy diner style restaurant has been a stable in the community for a long time. It recently came under new ownership and they are doing a phenomenal job. Very welcoming and friendly, feels like your home. There are both tables and booths and though it may look small, there is plenty of seating inside. The menu has something for everyone and they run daily specials. Today's special was 4 bacon strips, two eggs, one side and toast. The bacon was perfectly crispy, with two o er easy eggs and whole wheat toast that was soft and perfectly buttered. I got a fruit cup side, with fresh blueberries, strawberries, pineapple & grapes, it topped off this perfect breakfast. My server kept my water filled and checked on me several times. I need to make my way to this side of town more often! Love it!

My wife had this in our bookmarks for a while. We were heading East to the Greensboro area and thought we would stop in for a quick breakfast. It is located in the Ardmore area among residential neighborhoods. The same block is home to other businesses that we want to come back and check out too. Parking appears to be very limited but were able to park in front of another establishment that was not yet open. There is a Food Lion across the street which might be the best option when really busy. The building is fairly small and therefore has only about 20 tables of various sizes and most were occupied when we arrived. We were immediately greeted and the young man immediately wiped down a table for us that had just opened up. The interior feels like an old diner with splashes of today. We could tell this was a locals place as we heard many people talking with each other and they seemed to recognize one another. We sat down and started looking over the menu. The breakfast menu states it is served from 6-11:30am, Monday through Friday and all day Saturday. Arthur's is closed on Sundays. My wife read quite a few reviews where others recommended the Breakfast Burrito which sounded like a great option for me. My wife chose the Meat Lovers Omelet minus the cheese, home fries, fruit and added a side of sliced tomatoes. The young lady who took our order was friendly and efficient. We were also impressed with the prices! Our food arrived quickly and looked delicious. Everything tasted as good as it looked! We were checked on throughout our visit and felt taken care of. Great little place, we recommend!

My friend ordered the breakfast burrito, it was huge! For a side she had the sweet potato tots. She let me steal a bite of both and yum! I opted for the Hot Honey Chicken with Pimento Benedict and wow! I was nervous the pimento cheese would be overpowering, but it wasn't at all! It was a nice, creamy complement to the spicy crispy chicken. The hollandaise cut through some of the richness for a pleasant mellower. Prices are reasonable and our waitress was great! The restaurant is larger than it looks but it does get quite crowded. Can't wait to come back here!

This is a solid restaurant with much to offer in the brunch/breakfast area - an area that has become popular and chic, and it almost always means much will be expensive, usual very expensive considering the less than costly menu ingredients that drive food choices here, and other such brunch spots. Brunch is seen as more than just a meal for some folks who are all into what is trendy, and restaurant are aware of this and prices are raised due to the "experience" element! I have tried several items here including their version of Huevos Rancheros (not a fan of how they make it, pulled pork is a party foul), the Eggs Benedict (decent but over priced for sure, $17 with bacon added), and several Omelette choices, can reach $15. This is obviously a popular spot in downtown Winston, but I find it generally overpriced, loud, and the service is inconsistent. I like a good adventure, but somethings simply are not worth the cost! Note that the prices for individual items are written, very lightly with no $ sign to the right of the item. This is done intentionally to make the customer pay less attention to what they spending. Many restaurants are using some form of this approach!

My partner got the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with an iced latte. The lattes: go with a flavored one if you grab a coffee here. Their plain latte was not that good but their vanilla latte was very good. Biscuits: WOW! The Hangover Cure is hefty with plenty of biscuit to go around - I had some to take home with me. It was absolutely everything I needed after a night of imbibing with friends. My partner also enjoyed his biscuit. Cinnamon roll: very good! They had a variety of baked goods to choose from. Winston-Salem has no shortage of places to grab a drink of the caffeinated or alcoholic varieties, but it's hard to beat the atmosphere that The Remedy has to offer.

Peach mojito tasted like a peach bellini, so that one was really good - my fiancé's favorite. He ordered the meat and cheese omelette with turkey sausage. It was a lot of meat, maybe even too much. It was more meat than egg. Then, the egg itself was lackluster. It wasn't fluffy either. Cheese was fine. Overall would not get again. But the pancakes were pretty good. It made up for the omelette. Overcooked but carried the whole dish to be better than it was without it. The bacon bits threw me off for some reason so didn't like that, and the cheese was fine.
