Excellent food with beautiful outdoor patios. The fries were super crispy and fish were very fresh. The staff was very friendly and service was great. Very enjoyable lunch.

For those of us that live in the 305 this time of year is the ideal Tome dine al fresco and this is a prime spot. It sits on the intercostal canal so you see water and all the waterfront homes. The food skews towards elevated latin (Cuban, Argentinian etc) but you will find burgers and sandwiches too. I had this wonderful steak perfectly cooked served with tostones and a nice aioli. Excellent meal

This insider Mid-Beach Miami restaurant on the water doesn't need to advertise. It's the go-to for those locals with winter homes in high rise glass condos high above the ocean on sterile streets. It's a probably designed for someone to go a few times a week. Wish I could. A wry pro staff in a spot most will never find.

Lunch at Bernie's! Ate outdoors on the patio. Very hungry due to my first full day at a residence on 5445 Colllins street and having had no breakfast. Quite a nice experience. I was offered a small bowl of fried plantain chips initially. It is rare that a restaurant offers anything "on the house." It was taco Tuesday! There were several tacos offered, skirt steak, grouper, mahi mahi, pork and vegetarian. My crispy shrimp taco was an excellent blend of flavors. It was truly outstanding. For my beverage I had an iced tea which was very nice as well. Glad I decided to try this place.

This place is a must visit on Mid beach!!! Fantastic! Everything we ordered was so so good. The tuna tartare was one of the best I have had. The mahi sandwich was very well seasoned. The lobster roll had so much lobster in it!! We will be goin back again and I honestly can't wait. I also forgot to mention the stunning views of the water.

Great food, great service , great view! This hidden gem is located in a condo building, but once you get there, you won't regret it. The staff were fantastic, They were attentive and really hospitable. Overall, I would come back to place.

Another winner for awesome food delivered with great service. Nice little place right on the intracoastal with patio seating. Jackie was the icing on the cake that made for a great experience. Cocktails were perfectly prepared as was every dish; ceviche, avocado salad, red snapper fish and chips and pompano. The seafood linguine fra Diablo was fantastic, loaded with mussels, scallops, shrimp and calamari in a spice sauce. We will be back!!

Seafood Chowder GREAT! Booth was buttery and great. Baguette slices were also good. We had the seafood Salpicon De Mariscos starter VERY GOOD. Olive oil base - excellent. The main course was Linguine with Shimp, Calimaria, Scallops and Muscles in a spicy red cream sauce was very good and well prepared. ALEX TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF US. GREAT EXPERIENCE AND FOOD.

Café Bernie checks all the boxes for an excellent dining experience. This is a Miami Beach restaurant that is a must try for everyone. The water views from the comfort of the large canopy or the umbrella fitted tables on the water's edge are wonderful. With the sun setting and a nice breeze wafting in, I can't think of any better place to be for dinner. The fantastic menu holds many scrumptious selections. The Seafood Stuffed Avocado is a must have. Whether it's the Lobster Dinner Special or the Churrasco Steak, you will find something to please. From seafood to a burger, from dessert to drinks, everything leaves the kitchen to your table hot, fresh, and artfully presented. Lastly, the staff exemplifies all the hallmarks of fine hospitality. We were greeted at the door, welcomed in, and escorted to our table. Rikki, our waiter, excelled in every way. One of the managers, Grant, did a satisfaction check on us mid meal. At meal's end, we were fully satisfied and left with smiles and a cheerful good bye from the staff. This is the kind of dining experience you deserve, so try Café Bernie. You will be thrilled that you did.

Happy hour clocks in at $12 for food, $12 for all house cocktails, $10 spritzes, and a flat $6 for all beer, which in Miami Beach feels almost suspicious in the best way possible. I kept it simple with an ice cold Peroni while my wife went for the Giardino 75, a gorgeous little spritz built on Empress Indigo Gin, St. Germain, mint, lime, and prosecco. She loved it. The color alone was worth the ten bucks, but it actually drank as good as it looked. For food we shared the Bolognese Grilled Cheese and let me tell you, this thing punches well above its $12 price tag. Thick cut brioche toast, griddled until the edges go deep golden brown, stacked over a rich slow simmered bolognese with cheese pulling through every bite. Dusted with parmesan and fresh herbs, plated with cherry tomato skewers that added a nice little pop of acidity. Comfort food dressed up for a night out. Service was attentive and easy, drinks came quick, plates came hot, and nobody made us feel rushed even sitting through happy hour. The room itself has that playful Sicilian energy with the Moor head planters and bright touches throughout, which fits the vibe of the menu perfectly. Would I make a special trip back to Miami Beach for it? Probably not from Fort Myers, but if you're already in the area during happy hour, this is one of the better values you'll find on the beach. Solid four stars. Good drinks, good food, great specials, and service that actually showed up.

I asked for bbq sauce to dip the fries, and got it after I was done with the fries so I used it instead with the burger. I asked for said burger with no pickles and medium well. While the temperature of the burger was as requested, the burger was overly salty and the American cheese seemed like the squeezable "cheese whiz" type. Also guess what offensive condiment was in the bottom bun? Yes the pickles! While I started to eat the burger keto style (without the bun) I left most of it. It offered consistently…read moregood food, a welcoming atmosphere, and reasonable prices, making it an easy recommendation for friends and family. In fact, as my wife and I were walking in on our most recent visit, I was commenting that this would be a great place to bring out-of-town guests. Unfortunately, that opinion changed by the end of the evening. When the bill arrived, we learned that the corkage fee had increased from $25 to $35 without any notice. We politely explained that we were longtime customers who had always paid the longstanding $25 fee, but management was unwilling to make any accommodation or honor the previous rate. The increase itself did affect our perception. While $10 may not seem like a large amount, it represented a significant percentage jump for a neighborhood bistro, and it shifted the overall value equation for us in a noticeable way. What made it more frustrating is that a corkage fee increase feels different from a menu price adjustment. Rising food, labor, and operating costs can justify higher menu prices, but a corkage fee is simply a charge for opening and serving a bottle the customer brings in. Increasing it 40% without notice felt excessive, especially for a casual neighborhood restaurant rather than a high-end dining establishment. At $35, the corkage fee no longer feels aligned with the restaurant's positioning or value. Combined with the lack of transparency and the unwillingness to honor a long-standing rate for loyal customers, it meaningfully changed how we view the restaurant. The food was still very good, as it has been on previous visits. However, the overall experience left a sour taste. As a result, my wife and I won't be returning, and we will no longer recommend Silverlake Bistro to friends, family, or out-of-town visitors. That's a shame, because this was once one of the best reasonably priced neighborhood restaurants in the area. A relatively small change, handled differently, could have preserved our loyalty. Instead, it cost the restaurant two regular customers and future word-of-mouth recommendations.

I realized that I had not actually been to this location since it was The Playwright (or whatever it was called) 4 or 5 years ago. The updated interior is nice - very "pubby" - and they offer a good variety of seating from bar seats to high-tops to couches. Two things here that were standouts: First, the burger is one of the best burgers I've had on South Beach. So much so that I'm craving it again this morning. They've done a good job with the menu in that it still has all those bar foods that you look for in a place like this, but they've put some thought into elevating a number of items (e.g. the short rib poutine!) Second, the service was great. Our server (sorry, can't remember his name - a nice guy from Kendall) was very friendly and provided excellent service. As many reviews mention, this is definitely a place to watch a game. While we weren't there for this purpose last night, the TV setup is great and I could def see myself camping out there with a few beers on a weekend afternoon. As someone who lives in the neighborhood, I'll be back again for sure.
