What happened to this place. Completely fell off from what this place use to be. Quality and service completely gone wrong .

Cafe Bravo was a lot larger, newer, and more modern than I expected. I only wish I read up about the long wait times earlier so that I would've called in my order. The menu has something for everyone, meat lovers and vegetarians alike. We opted to try the beef kebab and chicken luleh with hummus & tabbouleh sides. We waited for what seemed an eternity (40 min) because of our empty, rumbling stomachs. During our wait, we watched their very busy and efficient kitchen churn out a never ending stream of kebab plates. There were two cashiers that took orders, one person setting up plates with sides and the corresponding tickets, two on the grill cooking kebabs, and one server. About half the customers were dine in while the rest were to go. I noticed that the person setting up plates with sides was generous and conscientious. My hungry and impatient husband found out that orders are filled based on what is ordered, not necessarily based on when the food is ordered. It kind of made sense because I saw a lot of patrons that arrived after us, get their food before us. Since our food was to go, we didn't eat the kebabs piping hot. But, it was still very tasty and filling. The hummus was tasty and the tabbouleh was very lemony (good if you like lots of lemon). My husband loved the beef kebab and kept remarking how tender the beef was. I found the chicken luleh well seasoned and moist. All in all I'd definitely return. But next time I'm calling in our order! read more

I'd go here again. I must've looked at an older photo, though, of their menu because I went here thinking the chicken lule plate was $6.99 or $7.99, but now it's $8.99. Chicken Lule is ground chicken skewers, with rice and two sides. I chose yogurt & cucumber and hummus. And you get a pita with it. It was really good. The place was big and clean. Had the lunch plate been even a dollar less I would've made this place a "go-to" place for Middle Eastern food. It's nicer than fast food, with decent portions. But there are lots of good Middle Eastern places all within the same price point. The four stars is based on food, service, order speed and overall experience. :)) read more

Ummm yes I'll take another order of the lamb kabobs. The lamb was tender and seasoned perfectly. This place has become a family favorite.

The line for lunch was out the door but it moved relatively quickly. Seating was a little tight so we decided to sit outside. I tried the chicken kabob and the beef kabob with hummus, rice, tomato, and a chili pepper. The skewered chicken (dark meat) and beef was grilled well and was flavorful. Each plate was about $6. Parking may be difficult. The food was good and relatively cheap. Overall, it wasn't extraordinary, but I'd go back again. read more

If I'm craving for mediterranean food, this is the place. It's hits all the spots - affordable, tasty, quick, and great service. The big downside is parking! You have to literally go before the lunch rush or park on the streets. I usually get their kabobs specials like beef or chicken kabob. It comes with salad or rice and two sides. They have a selection of main dishes and side dishes. I haven't tried much of their other dishes because I enjoyed the kabobs each time. Overall, great place for lunch and sometimes, I can't finish it so I'll have it for dinner as well. Meal is average about $10. read more

Lamb.. get the lamb... I was scared because I had a horrible toothache but I was craving some meat. It hurts to chew on the pita but the lamb is so tender, I didn't have any trouble noming my heart out. Make sure you get some of the garlic sauce, it's mroe liek garlic paste. It's heavy on the garlic flavor but it doesn't have the garlic kick. Mix the garlic sauce with some of their amazing hummus and that alone will make you come back the next day. The only problem is their business hours. I can't tell if they open at 10 or 11 or 11:30. The wait will be about 15-20 minutes so I call in my orders aware of the wait. Also this will save you a trip in case they aren't open. The beef kabob is not as tender as the lamb, but the lule is good and it seems like more than other places. The chicken lule is good too but the beef lule had more seasoning. I've tried other sides but really I'm good with a Lamb kabob and a side of hummus. If you get a plate, make sure you add a grilled tomato on the side it's only 50 cents but don't pick it as one of your 2 sides, you can pick a salad or more hummus which i think is more bang for your buck. Don't forget to stop by the hot sauce bar, I think there are like 5 or 6 different sauces. I get a little bit of everything along with some sumac for my rice. read more

This is my new favorite Mediterranean food joint after my old favorite closed down. Everything I've tried here is delicious. I always get the plates. It comes with a kabob, 2 sides, basmati rice, and pita bread. I usually get the chicken kabob because it's always delicious, juicy, and tender. I've also tried the lamb lule kabob (ground lamb) and it was also yummy. AND CHEAP. I think lamb at other places are $14+ but here it's $9.50 (I think). For my sides, I love getting the shirazi salad. It's a mix of chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions with a sour dressing. It's amazing to eat with the meat. I also like getting a dip for my pita bread, either hummus or cucumber yogurt. This place can't be beat in terms of food quality, variety, and price. I live over an hour away but I still have to make the trip over here! read more

Came here on Mother's Day and of course it was super packed. I want to commend the manager ( the Latino man who speaks Spanish) he has tremendous patience and attention to detail. People are mad, it's hot, you still have to social distance, the phones ringing off the hook, orders coming in like crazy and he keeps it all together. Ok, let's talk about the food, AMAZING! First time here..my co-workers have always been ranting and raving about this place. I have to say I was quite impressed. The food was really good and super duper cheap. I ordered the chicken lule kebab-ground chicken..yumm! I've had better kebabs but for the price and the portions and the 2 sides and pita bread you get with it is freaken awesome. I've gone to another places and they give you a tomato and pepper..I don't even eat tomatoes and the pepper is too hot..sooo the fact that you have a variety of choices to pick from for sides is awesome. Hummus was okay but the yogurt with spinach was yummmyyy..the pickled vegetables were yum and the garlic sauce is the bomb diggy. I would definitely come back to this place again and totally recommend it...Would never have gone here if a friend didn't recommend it..glad they did. Good prices and tasty, sad they sometimes run out of popular items if you order too late so order earlier to get the yummy Yums. The food is solid even though like they skimp on seasoning. Because some of the salads and even meat lacks flavor. SEASONING is your FRIEND NOT ENEMY!!! The problem with this place is that I don't think the owner manager gives a darn !!! I say this because they are either not there and they clearly don't care about the reviews. The younger people managing the register are very nice even when they get things wrong. Therefore, I'm very patient with them and I appreciate them learning. However, the COOKS have an attitude problem. If I want something customized then I should be able to have it customized to my liking. I am paying for the food which then pays for your salary. So attitude is not necessary. If you don't wanna make modifications or be flexible then you should not work there or at any restaurant . All of the rolling of the eyes and talking under your breath is not needed. And they do like to say they're close before they are closing time. It could be 15-20 minutes before actual closing and they will say they're closed. Sometimes the time listed on the door and online do not match what they say. There was a time that I went in an hour ahead of time and they stated that they are closed. I said well your door says otherwise. We are fans of Cafe Bravo. Being in the Glendale area, you better be pretty good to survive as there is a lot of ethnic restaurants here. This place is consistent and the food is always pretty good. Its somewhere between a eat there or take out place but we find ourselves usually taking it home. Its not an exceptionally big restaurant but there are tables well suited for groups of four so its going to be a little tricky to find adjacent tables for larger groups. Disney likes to order from here and even when we have large orders, they are usually correct so they are able to handle catering when needed. I would just say that I had to mark them down because they have one of those Coke machines that mixes hundreds of different combinations. But the machine always seem to be broken when we eat there. That and they messed up my order twice with take out. I didn't notice it until I got home. Luckily, the manager was nice enough to credit us back but he only did it once out of two times. But this place is still worth it. read more

Been here a couple times and have had my parents bring food from there for meal time at home. This is definitely one of my favorite places to get food from because the quality of food is great. Depending on what you get you can choose from different kinds of meats, such as lamb, beef, and chicken and also pick from their numerous sides like the hummus and the corn and bean salad, which are my favorites. You get a lot of meat and rice when you order extra meat and everything just taste so good together especially when you combine all of it in a pita bread. Ordered a kabob sandwich, with no garlic sauce; ended up with just pieces of overcooked kabob in tough bread with none of the tomatoes and cilantro, as described on their website's menu. Picked spinach yogurt as one of the sides for a kabob plate; got a watered down and questionably sour version of what it once was. No one would genuinely say "bravo" after eating here or request any encores. read more

Only giving 2 stars because service is good and they're friendly. The food is just not good. The chicken kabob is dry, the rice has zero flavor and very basic. The sides I got were the hummus and yogurt spinach. Yogurt and spinach is supposed to be cold and refreshing and it was legit warm and nasty. The hummus is very bland too. I used to love this place but they changed the way you can order. You can't call it in because they don't answer the phones anymore. You can only order online. Most of the time I'm driving so that doesn't work. Another thing is that excludes people that don't use a computer or phone to order online. Very inconvenient. The last thing is the parking lot is a mess with starbucks next door. They should move locations. Starbucks congestion makes it so hard to get in and out and people are blocking the street and entrance. Very poor planning. Im talking my business someplace else. read more

Staying at the Extended Stay hotel, and after talking to to a Glendale cab driver of Armenian descent (Glendales population is comprised of at least 40% of people of Armenian descent), he suggested try the Cafe Bravo. Since the restaurant was an easy three block walk, I decided to give this place a try. Just to let you know how delicious the food is there, I went there for lunch and dinner the next evening. I had the Lule Kabab, which comes with rice or salad and two sides (I had humus and Tabouli ). The seasoning for the kabobs was addictive, the hummus was smooth and delicious and the tabouli, although it had almost all greens and very little if any bulgar (possible made a little different in Armenian cooking) then what I am used eating in some Middle Eastern countries was still tasty). There are many other sides to choose from i.e. ikra (eggplant), shirazi salad, yoghurt and cucumber. I enjoyed the food equally as much the next evening for dinner. Since I continue on my low caloric adventure, I did not eat the rice that comes with the platter and on my second visit I asked for additional salad.
