I had some out of town visitors who wanted to try the restaurant and I hadn't been in years so I suggested the bishop arts location. When we arrived I was surprised to find parking in their very tight lot. Over to the left I saw a public parking sign but more on that later. They were quick to seat my table of 7 and took our orders quickly. Server was nice as well. He did come by with a parking lot QR code sign but I must admit, I didn't think it applied since I was in the lot. But again I'll circle back. Food came and my sandwich and fries were fine, but quite basic. It wasn't bad but I expected more. Ok, about parking. We had a discussion outside about parking, signs and the QR code that was provided. We realized even in the lot directly in front of the building you should scan a parking app and enter your info. I went back in to scan the code, but I believe it was too late and shortly I will receive a !90 dollar! parking bill for not scanning the QR code when we arrived. There's a lot of talk online about this location, the parking situation, and the $90 parking bills... I guess I'll wait and see but can already confirm my visit was not worth such confusion. While the food was delicious from the brunch tacos which they use real cotija cheese in to the banana bread French toast to the mimosa with blood orange juice, the service was lackluster. I've been here before and brought folks here and thought I had left a previous review so I'm taking that into consideration with this review. First let me start off by saying that they are understaffed and it's HURTING then badly!!! We visited on a Monday morning and there were two waitresses who also doubled as hostess. When you walk in, there is a sign stating to wait to be seated and they do not seat incomplete parties. We were seated quickly, reviewed the menu and then waited for someone to come take our order. And the wait began. A lady walked by and I asked her can we order and she proceeded to take out order. And then there was more waiting. Eventually our food made it to the table and although it looked good, the taste was not anything to write home about. The crepe I ordered was bland, the banana were over ripped, the cinnamon bananas were under ripe. She totally forgot the juice which worked in my favor as she put it in a to go cup as we were done eating by the time she brought it. The French toast was covered in fruits but the bread itself didn't look like it has been soaked in any type of custard. I asked for crispy bacon however this was where bacon starts to have that dusty burnt taste. We had dined earlier and were in another part of town doing a few things when the coffee/desert bug hit. So I pulled into a place I knew was solid for deserts and coffee(not at this location but in general). Unfortunately, there was one guy handling the entire dining room by himself!!!! So, I'm going easy on the review and I will say, He had an awesome attitude about working the entire front end by himself. I ate here a couple nights ago. Out of town we. I LOVED it. So much so that I decided to go back tonight. I wanted the patio. It was empty. I sat out there and people watched the other night and wanted to do the same again. "Sorry the patio is off limits due to this work group here". The work group that wasn't using the patio. Seats me in the middle of the restaurant. Loud. Noisy. Completely lacking any view (see reason for patio). I wait. Ten minutes go by with no sign of anyone paying attention to my table or acknowledging me. But they have been out to the work group a few times. I called it quits. Disappointed. The service and food Monday night was top knotch. Thursday night left me utterly disappointed. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to go. Last week, a group of 5 of us went there for lunch. The parking lot is now a scan and pay lot. You have to pay before going into the restaurant. Once you go in the restaurant, there is a sign that allows you to scan a QR code that gives you 3 free hours of parking. Unfortunately, since you have to pay BEFORE going in, you are charged and you don't get a refund. My charge was $8.09 for 1 hour while another member of our group was charged $97.00. While the food is just ok, the parking situation is unacceptable. The parking charge issue was mentioned to an employee who said that we would be refunded the parking charge. This has not happened. Our group will not ever be returning to Cafe Brazil and they have lost me and my family as customers. read more

The sign on the front read wait to be seated. Would you return? It was not a full restaurant inside or in the patio. It was only 3 tables with diners inside and one family of 6 on the front patio. Rosemary potatoes and Coffee were good. Period. Other locations are much better. I should have listened to other Yelpers.... take your dollars where they are appreciated. This place is conveniently close to mi casa so it's my go to for breakfast/brunch, I love coming here because they have a pretty good selection of vegan/vegetarian dishes. Also if you love coffee they have an open coffee bar with about 6 or more flavors to choose from, if you don't want the dairy creamer they offer oat milk and almond milk. My go to dishes are; French toast, Veggie migas, vegan tacos. So this visit I chose to try something different, I went for the grilled cheese with avocado and tomato, it was just alright they didn't really grill it down to perfection I still had unmelted feta cheese, I hate sending food back so I just ate it. Bestie had the black bean burger with sweet potato fries she enjoyed it. Been meaning to review this place for awhile. Went here with my bf the morning of his b-day to get some breakfast. The place was nearly empty, and just by looking around I could see why. This was the first time I've been here in the almost 4 years I've lived near BAD. While sitting at our table I noticed trash on the floor, food remnants under tables (not just crumbs but fries and lettuce) and the man who appeared to be the manager literally walked by what appeared to be torn straw paper wrappers on the floor numerous times dead center on the dining room floor. As someone who works in the industry this was absolutely shocking to me. It immediately showed the lack of pride and care taken in the establishment but you could see that by the ratty booths with duct tape on the seats and chairs with chunks of foam exposed. I ordered some kind of cold brew with sweet cream that was really tasty and a club with sweet potato fries. The food was fine. My sandwich was surprisingly good. The fries had a bit of an old oil aftertaste to them but they were nice and crispy which is awesome when it comes to sweet potato fries. You could hear the music in the kitchen blaring along with the music in the dining room which was rather annoying. It was weird that I did not see or hear any of the staff speaking to one another. Then I went to the restroom.... If I had gone to the restroom before eating I wouldn't have eaten there at all. It was positively disgusting. I don't know what I expected after seeing the manager/owner guy walk past trash on the floor of the dining room numerous times, but if there is no care as to how the guest areas are taken care of or the cleanliness and sanitation of the restroom...I can only imagine what the cleanliness of the kitchen is like. Our female server was sweet but not very present. None of the staff that I saw looked happy to be there including the manager guy. When you don't care your staff isn't going to care. After leaving and on our way home my stomach starting hurting. Both my bf and I had to take turns using our restroom for a good few hours, putting a damper on our plans for the day for his b-day. And now there are something like 10 of them all over DFW. So I'm going to pass. I've eaten only at a couple of the locations - this one, and Fort Worth. I was pleasantly surprised !!! I was in town and my family took me for a nice lunch for traditional BBQ but aahhhhhh they had a "closed" sign on the door so we needed an alternate option. Lucky us!!! This is my first time here, for brunch on Sunday. The menu has nothing Brazilian on it (unless you count black bean soup.) It's more like low budget Mexican. We had loaded fries and broccoli and Brussels sprouts 'cause we weren't feeling Mexican foodish. Basically boiled vegetables and prefrozen fries served with watery ranch dressing. There was loads of cheese, bacon, and jalapeños on the fries, but they were the kind that is made out of processed potatoes (not actually slices of real potato) so they were really greasy. I'm not saying we didn't eat it--and the prices were really reasonable. But it was more like a run down Denny's. The server was super sweet and the iced tea was excellent. But I won't be back. The most concerning thing was--the person who was sanitizing the booths where people around us had been seated was using A BROOM (that she had just used on the floor) to sweep them off. Meets the basic needs of a breakfast. Coffee is served in coffee bar style which, for me, feels like getting my coffee at Wawa. This also means that the coffee is not always piping hot (mine was just warm). However, it's cool that I get to pick out a different coffee blend with each cup. The menu had a few healthy options so I chose the Power Breakfast with quinoa, egg whites, spinach, fruit, and avocado toast. I liked it and it was exactly as described on the menu. My husband was underwhelmed by the level of cleanliness. I was disappointed to not see any semblance of any food that was inspired by Brazil. First, it took forever for someone to even come over to acknowledge that I was waiting to get seated. That should have been my sign to leave. But we wanted to give it a try. Finally seated and our waitress came over and took our drink order and then our food order. We got our food and our waitress disappeared and never came back to see if we needed anything, no refills, anything. After sitting there for like 10+ minutes after finishing our meal, we had to flag the waitress down to get our check. She dropped it off and disappeared again. So we just paid with cash and left. The reviews of this location is spot on unfortunately. Definitely don't go MIDWEEK because these are the nights when they try the new hires. I stopped in at 9:01pm last night basically because it got late and my appetite was really prepped for a different spot that happened to be closed. I walk in and I see 3 servers, 1 looks like she knows what she's doing, the other 2 were stumbling, bumbling, fumbling...you get the picture. One of them sees me, doesn't acknowledge me, walks by. The second person, Sonia(sp) a clearly older woman who is not haven't a great night but is VERY NICE, however, nice doesn't equal skill or speed. I sit down, I ask for water with lemons. 5 to 7 mins later, I get water, no sign of lemons. I place my order, Chips & Salsa for the appetizer and Veggie Migas for the entree. 20 minutes in, still no appetizer. No, they don't make their chips fresh. 25 mins in, here comes the chips and salsa, 1 minute after that, my entree comes. The Migas were good. The potatoes they were served with were warmed over and BARELY. Nothing worse than a freshly made dish right next to something that's clearly not fresh. I eat the Migas, I leave the potatoes. All the while, not one check from Sonia(sp),not one refill,not anything. She finally stops and I mention the lack of service and she IMMEDIATELY blames the cook. "Ma'am, the cook didn't bring my water late or my food out all at the same time." She long pauses....then just, reaches for the check. So I ask, "is this the response to my concerns, you just hand me the check and that's all?" More deflection. I ask her to get the manager on duty. Victoria, a very understanding young lady, totally agreed with my assessment of things and begged forgiveness because and I quote "I have to work with them every night and they're new and I've gotten many complaints from other customers."
