Terrible experience and absolutely unacceptable service. The staff member behind the counter (wearing a pearl necklace) was extremely rude and unfriendly from the very beginning. His behavior alone was enough to ruin the entire visit. I've never experienced such poor service -- not just in New Orleans, but anywhere in the U.S. We also had issues with our order, and instead of handling it professionally, he became defensive, raised his voice, and acted in a very disrespectful way. The situation was made even more uncomfortable by how he behaved in front of other customers. Overall, the entire experience was ruined. We will definitely not be coming back and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I found this hidden gem while I was searching for Breakfast places off the beaten path. What I found was exactly what I wanted! It's a small cafe that is decorated beautifully. This place was great! A bit of a hidden gem for sure as there's not much for signage outside so you need to be looking for it. We got there around 11a ona Tuesday and it was empty! It's such an adorable cafe and the food was great. Mama Rachelle greeted us with the biggest smile the moment we walked through the door and was just the sweetest human on the planet. I had the continental breakfast - Brie, ham, tomatoes, fresh fruit, and French bread - and it was excellent. I would eat it every day. My husband had the croque madam, which was also excellent. We also split a banana Nutella crepe, and I had a side of grits and a croissant, which ended up being enough food for four people, because the servings were larger than we expected. It was all excellent. The place is small, and I was worried about getting a table, but the tables turn over quickly and the gentleman working the counter where you order is very fast. The decor is fairly nondescript. The service was excellent. The restaurant is inside a hotel, and we would have missed it if we hadn't been looking for it. read more

To say we liked this little cafe would be an understatement. We stopped in every morning during our seven-day stay in the city! At first, it was because the cafe was close to our hotel, and neither of us were trying to hike for a cup of coffee in that heat and humidity. But after our first trip, we went because we wanted to support the incredibly sweet women working there. We had a variety of drinks and pastries each time we visited, sometimes partaking at a table in the dining room, sometimes taking it to-go to start our remote workday. Every time we went in, we were greeted by a friendly and smiling staff member. One truly memorable visit came towards the end of our stay. A storm rolled in out of nowhere and caught us on our way to the cafe. We stepped inside and I was trying to sop up some of the water with a tissue; the incredible girl working that day stepped away to offer me one of their linen napkins to dry off with. A small gesture, to be sure, but something I appreciated, soaked as I was. The coffee creations were delightful and the pastries (we always went with one of their scones) were delicious. This is one place we'd definitely stop back in our next trip to the city. read more

The coffee was ok, the breakfast sandwiches were maybe frozen Jimmy Dean? We should have walked a bit more to find a better breakfast. My bacon (actually Canadian bacon, let's just call it ham. Lol) egg and cheese biscuit, had no egg. I pointed it out to the cashier/server/cook/barista and she said the orange layer was egg. There was no way it was egg, since my boyfriend's sausage sandwich had egg that looked like egg. Anyway, she decided to heat up a sausage sandwich so that I could have egg that looks like egg.
