I can't say too much about the service or ambiance of Cafe Corleone because I've only ever used Uber eats to get food from here. But I can say the lasagna is amazing here! Ordered linguine with calamari. The calamari was charred and the entrée was so hot that I could not eat it. My husband finished his entrée before I could even start to eat it. I burnt the roof of my mouth on the first bite, but the reason we won't be going back is the dirty cobwebs up on the wall and the chairs with loose legs. I could tell the cobwebs had been there a very long time. When the server asked if there was a problem with my meal and I told her it was too hot to eat, I received no response to the problem. read more

Boys had their lunch special pastas too. One got the rigatoni with meat sauce. I think it was $7.95. The other for the chicken fettuccine I think it was $13. Here's the thing I make a pretty good marinara sauce so I'm super picky on red sauces. This one has mine beat. I think they use san Marzano tomatos. That makes a huge difference. My family and I stumbled upon this lovely place randomly back in 2018 when we were new to the area. We lived in the neighborhood for about a year, and this little gem was a go to place for our lasagna and tiramisu cravings (both unbelievably yummy). Fast forward to now, we live about 30-50 minutes away and haven't been back to Cafe Corleone in about 7 years. Last weekend we were looking for a place to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday. When I asked my daughter where she wanted to go for her big night, without hesitation she said, "mommy let's go to that place we went to before with the BEST lasagna!" Since 2018 we have NEVER been able to get the food and ambiance from this place out of our minds and hearts. On Wednesday evening, we showed up with a party of 4 and everything was better than expected. Aside from the food that is beyond magnificent, exceptional, and comforting, there is an amazing sense of family when you're there. It felt like we were having dinner at our grandparents home and we were surrounded by family. The services you get is not that of "thank you for your business" it's more of "thank you for your time". The happiness of everyone who walks through the doors is the top priority of everyone who works there. We were so happy to spend such a special night with the Corleone family. I wanted to leave a review of our recent visit based on two main factors: the food and the service. My boyfriend and I arrived around noon for lunch. The restaurant was not very busy since only two other groups were dining. We were seated by a young man who asked what we wanted to drink, but we were never given menus. When the waitress came by to take our order as the drinks were being brought out, we let her know we had not received any menus yet. She apologized, and the man who seated us admitted it was his fault for forgetting. It was a little strange to forget menus at a restaurant, but we let it go since he seemed new. We have been here several times before and are usually helped by the same familiar staff. We ordered Cokes, a bowl of the house tomato soup each, and our entrees: beef ravioli and chicken fettuccine. As always, the food was amazing. The tomato soup is an absolute must if you have never been here. Everything tasted rich and homemade, just like we remembered. We finished our bottled sodas midway through the meal. When the waitress stopped by with the busser, who was also the same person who had seated us, she kindly offered refills and we accepted. Unfortunately, the drinks never came. About 20 minutes later, the same busser finally returned to check on us. We did not bring up the missing drinks at that point, but instead asked for the check and a box. He said he would be right back, but instead started cleaning other tables and eventually sat down. We waited about ten more minutes before I had to speak up across the room to ask for the check again. The waitress brought it over and quickly realized the refills she had offered had never been delivered. She was very apologetic and seemed genuinely embarrassed. My boyfriend reassured her that the food was delicious as always, but the service this time was not what we had come to expect from our past visits. We will definitely come back when we are craving authentic Italian food, because the quality is truly excellent. But if the same busser is working, we might choose takeout instead. read more

Possibly the worst Italian food I ever had. Food was absolutely disgusting, but I gave it a second chance because its close to my house. The ravioli was stuck together and the inside was cold, hardly any sauce. The potatoes that came with a sandwich were room temperature and this was just the food. I would rate the salad, but it was only two leaves and oil. I ordered 30 minutes after a phone order because the lady said 20 minutes and the food was still not ready. Finally tried this hole in the wall, family owned place and I am glad I did. It is old school and they take pride in the food. The server was very sweet, maybe it was the owners daughter. The owner was puttering around as well. He seems nice! Locals were here hanging out, drinking wine with their meals. Portion are enormous! A small family of 2 and their kid came and just ordered fettuccini and the bread. The waitress answered a lot of my questions. I ordered the fried calamari, a pasta reggiana with chicken, sausage, onion, peppers, in a mild tomato sauce, and my partner ordered the Corleone pizza special. Everything was delicious, the Parmesan at the table tasted real, the sauces aren't the normal bottled sweet chunky sauces. Also the waitress said my pasta would taste even better the next day and it did!! Will be back. Must try this gem in paramount! I am a fanatic about this place. Every time I've gone, I have absolutely enjoyed every meal. My goal is to try everything on the menu. They have been voted to have the best pasta sauce according to I believe LA times? I may be wrong about the news paper but for sure they have the best sauce I have ever had. Their spaghetti and meatballs are delicious and the complementary garlic bread is so good with the olive oil and vinegar mixed with Parmesan cheese and chili flakes. Wow!!!!! The sandwiches are DELICIOUS, the pizza is amazing and the pasta is a must try, like everything else in the menu. The service is the best, the owners are the sweetest humans I've met! Ordered ahead since I was on my lunch break. Order was not ready when I got there (within the pick-up window) but not the end of the world; he said it would be about 4 minutes. After 10 minutes they tell me they burnt my pizza and had to make another one, it would be about 7 minutes. Another 12 minutes later my order is finally ready and I ask for my side of ranch that I'd pre-paid for. They said they didn't have to go containers for that so they just put extra on my salad. My salad is now ranch soup. I would have preferred they ask first, since he did offer to put some on top of my pizza. I was there a total of 24 minutes, so ordering ahead was useless. I've been here a few times and always have slightly negative experiences, so just going to cut my losses and stop going. Food is good but not good enough to deal with them again. read more

The best mom and pops Italian restaurant in SoCal :) I saw this place on Yelp and right off the back, this place has great reviews from local customers. I decided to give it a try on my girlfriend and I's anniversary :) The place looks like an ordinary Italian from the outside, but when you walked in; you can feel the rich history behind every portraits and decorations in every ceiling. The lady that helped us on our seat is actually the owner's wife, which is a pleasant to meet. I can tell she really cares about their employees and especially their customers. Just like a classic Italian grandma greeting us to their household kind of a vibe :) My girlfriend and I ordered their calamari for appetizer and was phenomenal since the squid is soft and crunchy from the outside. It was perfectly seasoned since it was not too salty like others. I ordered their famous Lasagna, which is said to be the best in SoCal. Their serving portions are enormous and seeing this Lasagna is quite memorable. This pasta dish is like a soup with their red sauce ooozing with flavor; their red sauce is the best that I tasted for a very long time. The meat and pasta are just melt in your mouth... damn it's getting me hungry just writing this review :) My girlfriend ordered their seafood pasta since she is a seafood lover. The pasta plate is enormous as well (she took it for to-go and brought it to work for 2 nights in a row lol). I tasted it and I can feel eating by the ocean haha. We ordered their red wine, as well to compliment our pasta dishes. Lastly, ordered their tiramisu and that just a icing on the cake. Hubby and I had such a wonderful Dinner at this restaurant! You'd never know from outside the gem it is, the food is delicious and very authentically Italian. You can feel the love as soon as you walk in and greeted very friendly. Hubby and I had the fried calamari which let me tell you it's crispy to perfection along with delicious marinara sauce, we also had lasagna also exquisitely delicious! And we had the chicken Marsala which also was amazing! Came here on Sunday for lunch, and it was amazing! I came with my girlfriend and she told me about this place and how great it was and was super excited to try it. First thing I noticed was the décor when walking in and it was great. it was fun checking out all the pictures and little things they had. we were seated right away, placed an order for drink and given garlic bread. Who doesn't like garlic bread? I pretty much ate all of it and was sad I didn't have any with my food by the time it came, but I could have order more, but didn't. I wanted to enjoy the food and not just the bread. Anyways, I ordered a lasagna, when you looked at the menu it says "lasagna (the best in the west)" and let me tell you something, they are right! it was one of the best lasagna I have ever had. Really enjoyed our first visit to Cafe Corleone. This place has a feel like you're visiting a family's home, unassuming. The decor feels kind of home-y, red check tablecloth, posters. Service was very friendly (the chef's daughter), who made some great recommendations. I love that she told us about what's the most popular (lasagna) and what her favorites are (tortellini emiliana and penne reggiana). We decided to go for a selection of items to try, as it was our first time. Keep in mind most pasta dishes are very generous family style, enough to share with 2. Antipasto salad (small): small is definitely enough to share for 2 people, maybe even 3. All in a light wine vinegar and oil vinaigrette, with mortadella/cheese, pepperonicini, and something like giardiniera (pickled cauliflower & carrots). It was well-dressed, perhaps the tiniest bit over-dressed, and tangy. It left me feeling...meh. I don't know, nothing really jumped out at me, and I felt like I ate it dutifully instead of by craving another bite. Not bad at all, but I've enjoyed better, somewhat unremarkable. 3/5 Clams in white wine sauce: clams were unremarkable (and some slightly sandy), but the star was lots of buttery, garlicky, white wine sauce, with a distinct taste of dry white wine. The sauce is something good...a bowl of that sauce with some garlic bread would be a worthwhile dish! Almost worth just taking the sauce home. 3/5 Lasagne: piping hot, a large serving, quite saucy/juicy/cheesy, with a slightly meaty (although not a lot of meat) sauce that had a slight flavor of white wine. Quite nice. Enough to share for 2. 4/5 Garlic bread: very light and fluffy, with a nice garlicky, buttery crust. Super super good, and good for sopping up sauce. They gave a generous amount, and I would even consider ordering more, excellent! 5/5 (or 6/5!!) Tortellini emiliana: somehow they managed to get a cream sauce and tortellini to be so light, and supple. So much of the time cream sauces are goopy and sticky, this was slithery and airy....light, fresh cream, nice peas and ham. And the portion is family-style gigantic, I think could've served 3. This one was both of our fave, hands down. You can't go wrong with this. 5/5 Service was super friendly and attentive. When we got there at around 5pm we were the first to be dining in. Was glad to see at least 3-4 other tables fill up for dinner. This place is worth supporting! Fabulous food and nice people, we will be back for sure. read more
