Came here early in the week last week with my cousin. It was my first time eating here, but he's been here a few times and orders to-go from them often. First thing I noticed is that it is Sicilian-style Italian food and there are posters from all over Sicily, which was a bit nostalgic for me. Anything from Italy makes me nostalgic. But being in this restaurant really made me feel like I was there. Mi manca l'italia! We were seated promptly by a young man who was molto gentile and were served by a woman working there. I feel bad that I didn't get either of their names but she also was very friendly and helpful in answering any questions I had about the menu and their wine. We started off with some calamari which was perfectly crispy and very delicious. For our entrees I ordered the linguini with clams and shrimp with a class of their sauvignon blanc, and my cousin ordered their lasagna with a glass of chianti. The food and the wine were all so delicious and perfectly paired. I loved finding all the slivers of garlic in my pasta and was even more satisfied to see more shrimp hiding in the linguini. I ordered my dish with the white wine sauce and it was delicious. I did feel like it was missing some flavor, but I'm not exactly sure what flavor that was. It was well seasoned, and garlicky without being overpowering, but maybe some other herb? I'm no help, but I will say I enjoyed my leftovers more the next day. I tried a bit of my cousin's lasagna and thought it was delicious. Personally, he felt there needed to be a better balance of sauce to cheese (he said it was too cheesy/rich), and while I did enjoy the bite I had, I could see what he meant. Good thing we started off with the calamari and some bread because his lasagna was too hot for a long time. For dessert, we split something I hadn't had since I was in Italy over 15 years ago. I did not know what to expect when he asked for the "lemon ice cream" dessert, but now that I know, I'll gladly have one for myself next time. It's Granita al Limone served inside the shell of a lemon. It is DELICIOUS and refreshing without being overwhelmingly sweet or rich. Also, isn't it just cute? Thank you for a lovely dining experience.

My boyfriend and I were looking for an authentic Italian place to eat at and stumbled upon Cafe Corleone on Yelp. Place looks to have been in business for a while and appears to be family owned which we loved. Inside is in the smaller side, but still had plenty of seating. We visited on a Sunday and was seated right away. All staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Our server recommended the rigatoni barese and we loved it! The dish was simple, but the way it was made was so delicious . We both loved that the sauce wasn't heavy. The pasta was enough to feed 2 people . We also ordered the corleone pizza , also delicious . You can see in the photo they did not skimp on the toppings. We plan to return to try another pasta dish :)

FAMILY OWNED: you'll walk in here and feel like you're walking into someone's living room. They have about 7-8 tables and it's kind of small inside. It's somewhat pricey; but it's good. I'd definitely recommend you give it a try for its CHEESY lasagna and their pizza. Everything is made from scratch. The owners daughter served us.

Let's start with how cute and home feeling the restaurant is. Walked in and love the decoration. I'm not Italian but definitely gave that vibe where grandma is cooking in the back. The service was amazing. Ordered the Alfredo pasta and a small 10 inch pizza. Let me tell you it was DELICIOUS. Definitely from scratch can tell right away. I'm coming back that's for sure.

This place is amaazing! It's a warm, medium sized diner, it reminded me of a restaurant from the 70s or 80s. The walls are covered with pictures of Italian life, it's dimly lit, and the food is absolutely delicious! I ordered the lasagna, like all their food, it was freshly made. When it was brought to the table, the cheese on it was still bubbling! The owner ia a sweetheart, she greeted me when I came in, and my server was attentive, she checked in on me a few times, and at the end of the meal the owner ensured that I was happy with my food and overall dining experience. I highly recommend this place if you happen to be in Paramount and crave Italian food!

Would've gave this place a 4 star because they didn't serve any garlic bread like it says on the menu with our pastas and the cheese on the pizza slips right off. Mind you everything including pizza was delicious. I decided to give 5 star because it's truly a family oriented place and the daughter of the mom and pop was super nice and was hosting the whole restaurant. Would come back.

Looking for a great Italian restaurant? We discovered this gem thanks to an ABC7 Los Angeles interview highlighting this family-owned establishment, and we're so glad we decided to support them. From the moment we were seated, we were warmly welcomed by two of the family owners, who shared the history of the restaurant and offered thoughtful entrée recommendations. That personal touch immediately set the tone for a memorable dining experience. We started with a large plate of garlic toast, then moved on to an incredible spread: Rigatoni with meat sauce, Corleone's Special Pizza, Grilled Pork Chops, Tomato Bisque soup, and Tortellini Emiliana (cheese-stuffed pasta with sweet peas, ham, mushrooms, and a white cream sauce). Although these were individual plates, the portions were truly homestyle--each dish could easily serve two people. Everything was cooked and served to perfection, and as we ate, we all found ourselves nodding in agreement--this food was absolutely delicious. Just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite, dessert arrived. The Tiramisu cake was a party in your mouth, and the lemon ice cream, beautifully presented in a flute glass, was the perfect refreshing finish. If you're tired of commercial, overly Americanized Italian restaurants, do yourself a favor and come experience authentic Italian cuisine made with care and pride. There's plenty of parking, and a helpful tip--if you reach Chase Bank, you've gone too far. We will definitely be returning. Stop by, experience it for yourself, and be the judge--you won't regret it.

The Paramount High School Speech and Debate team held its Christmas Party here and it was the best decision! The owner is so gracious. The servers were very nice and attentive. Everyone loved the pizza! What an awesome small town restaurant with big time food!

Fast forward to today and things are much better. The one constant is Marino's is still a nice place to eat. My understanding is they changed ownership in the past couple years. You would not be able to tell. The service is still outstanding as is the food. The new owners have not missed a beat. Recently we celebrated my 93 year old father in law's second retirement. What really surprised me is how Marino's manages to get that same warm, buttery, nostalgic flavor that I was loving the garlic bread that they used to sold in Ralph's on Wardlow Rd Long Beach, California in the 2011, but still make it feel like their own thing. It's honestly kind of cool that a place in Bellflower can remind me so much of a restaurant all the way in Ventura, especially since I wasn't expecting that at all when I first tried it. On top of that, the rest of the food matches the same level of comfort and quality. Every dish feels like it was made with actual care, and as someone who's still figuring out what my favorite Italian foods even are, it's fun to try things here because everything ends up tasting way better than I expect. The service also makes the whole experience even better, because everyone treats you like you're a regular even if it's your first time walking in. It gives the place this friendly, welcoming vibe that makes you want to come back again without even thinking about it. The atmosphere is another thing I really like, because it feels relaxed in a way that makes it easy to enjoy your food without feeling rushed. It's the kind of place where you can sit with your family or friends and just enjoy being there while eating something really good. Overall, Marino's Italian Restaurant in Bellflower, California, is one of those spots that ends up sticking in your mind, especially when something as simple as their garlic bread can bring back memories from another city while still feeling totally unique to this place.

BEST PIZZA IN DOWNEY? Absolutely!…read more BIGGEST REASON FOR THE STATEMENT:Hands down For me the first thing of note is that they have a meatball pizza... and not any meatball pizza, but ground turkey, made into meatballs, sliced and put on pizza. Who does that? The best pizza place in Downey does! I grew up I just got back from deployment, I was goen from June until September (2025), I found myself at sea salivating for their pizza. I literally just got back, took care of family and business stuff and realized that I now have time to scroll through Yelp and write reviews based on Yelp suggestions (meaning if you check-in, but fail to write a review, yelp will remind you by adding the business to a list of suggested businesses. Let me start by saying that I will now pledge my loyalty, despite deployments getting in the way, to this shop from hestrip mall. THE STAFF: The staff is super courteous and they handle their phone orders flawlessly every time (Imperial Domminos could learn a lot from this place). I have even interacted with the guy making the pizza... he did so with a smile. SEATING: It is truly unfortunate that the limits set by the interior and exterior of this business make it so they cannot provide tables and seating in which patrons could dine. I would most definitely opt to dine in, if it was a choice. INTERIOR: This small carry out only shop is always immaculately clean. From the floors to the reflection of myself that I can see in the glass cases, this place wins the white glove treatment award every time. FAVORITE ORDERS: Cheese pizza, yep plain cheese pizza is the best way to review a pizza. Once you establish that the crust, sauce and cheese are amazing and worth the money, then it is time to sample, or as I like to say "experiment with" the quality found in a pizzeria's toppings I am usually a chicken, bell pepper, green olive type east coast pizza (so thick Sicilian is acceptable, and of late in the city of Portland, OR, I recently fell in love with Detroit style pizza) fanturkey meatball pizza is to die for. I do feel their sauce is a bit under applied, so asking for extra either on the pizza or to take home package separately is recommended. In the distant past, I have made my own sauce and actually topped store and shop bought pizza with it and the retopped the pizza with more cheese. I may start doing this with Leslie.
