Stumbled upon this gem while craving Filipino food and WOW!! At first, I thought they were hosting a private event--it's just that cute! Fresh pink roses on every table and such a welcoming instagram-worthy vibe. The food was AMAZING. The Bicol Express was melt-in-your-mouth good. Tucked into an easy-to-find location with ample parking, Cafe de Manila gave us an interesting first impression. Walking in, we thought "oops" did we accidentally stumble into a private party? The decor was festive, had white and gold dressed tables, a pink balloon arch by the stage and looked celebration-ready. We were warmly welcomed by a couple of ladies coming out of the kitchen, who told us to sit anywhere we like. Though it was just the two of us, we ordered several dishes and hoped to find authentic Filipino food. We found it! The sisig arrived sizzling on a hot plate with an egg cracked on top, we mixed it together and it was delicious. The lechon kawali came out hot and crispy, the pancit bihon had perfectly cooked long noodles, and the tortang talong was savory, comforting, and satisfying. Portions are generous. Food was amazing and so yummy. I ordered the bangus with rice and eggs breakfast. They serve breakfast items all day. When my friends and I went on a saturday night they had a buffet from 6 pm to 10 pm. Along with the buffet was live entertainment. It turned out to be karaoke night with Mike. So much fun! My friend and me ended up placing 2nd and 3rd in the karaoke contest and won gift certificates and even cash prize! This was a disappointing visit. I googled a Filipino restaurant nearby and I previewed the menu and they had a great variety of items listed. Upon entering, we were sat with menus that had several items crossed out including the isaw and the pompano that we wanted. We opted for the breakfast favorite silog - Corned Beef Silog and Sisig Silog. The one good thing about the silog dishes is that it comes with two eggs instead of the usual one. Enough garlic fried rice and meat. Our drinks did not arrive until after I had flagged a staff member down and after they gave us our entrees.service wasn't really present; the staff was more attentive to the two bigger parties and decided to eat in the same dining area as we were still eating. I've driven by this restaurant several times, so I finally decided to pick up dinner to go the other day.  It was very quiet when I walked in on a Thursday late afternoon (only one diner eating in).  I picked up the menu and decided on an order of Lechon Kawali and Pansit Palabok.  After a bit, my order was ready, and it took the order back home. When I opened the bag, I was disappointed that the order of lechon was in a very small container.  The lechon had been cooked so long, all the fat had been rendered out, leaving the remaining pieces too crunchy, like overcooked bacon.  Even with the sauce, the texture was too tough.  Good lechon has different textures: crispy skin, tender meat, and some fat on it.  But this only had overcooked meat.   The pansit was better, with large whole shrimp over the generous portion.  This did partially make up for the very sad protein.  Unfortunately, a Filipino restaurant that does not offer a good lechon is a no-go in my book, as I will not return here. read more

Everything we ordered was extra crispy -- from the lumpia, to the lechon kawali, and the fried chicken. It was actually *too* crispy, and dare I say.. dry. The lechon was by no means tender or succulent. It was all crispy. The adobo fried rice had very skimpy slivers of adobo. Lumpia was deep fried and for me, the contents were unidentifiable. By the time the fried chicken came, the roof of my mouth was tender from all the crunching I had to do. Server brings adobo first , 15 min later she brings the spaghetti and rice , we thought she forgot so we shared the adobo and rice . She said the pasta takes a long time to cook. I had a great time at Cafe De Manila! My family and I were planing to eat at another restaurant closer to the strip but decided to stay close to where our family lives. We showed up and to our delight there were only a few people seated in the dining area. We ordered a nice large family style order. I liked all the food I tried with the exception of their Kare Kare, It was oily. While we waited for our food, both of my nephews were getting antsy sitting at the table. Had a bunch of family in town, and I needed a place that can seat 15 people. Cafe De Manila was very accomadating. They allowed me to order a catering package, which they set up buffet style. After a good hike, we were hungry and excited to try a new Filipino restaurant. The staff were nice and quickly sat us. We stated with lumpia. It came with two dips that were good but the lumpia was too crispy hard and seemed almost burnt. Joel loves kare kare but the meat was tough and lacked flavor without much peanut butter sauce. I ordered a breakfast plate with garlic rice, longanisa, and eggs. The rice was really sticky and hard but had good flavor. The longanisa was tough and seemed recooked and old. We didn't finish our halo halo desert. There was stale rice crispys or cereal on top. The was zero flavor outside of the taro ice cream on top. The best thing I can say is that it looked pretty with an umbrella topper. There was a party later that day they were setting up for so we wondered if the food we had was leftovers or had sat out before being served. She is very communicative and knowledgeable but more than anything, she knows how to keep the party rockin! The place was not crowded at all, and some workers were busy setting up for an event held later in the day. I was a little skeptical given the Yelp reviews and because we were the only party dining in, but the phone kept ringing with people ordering for take out. We ended up ordering dinuguan, bangus belly sinigang, longsilog, hot dogs, and a side of rice with Kikiam and fish balls for appetizers. For drinks we had calamansi juice and coconut juice, along with water all around. Everything tasted awesome! The sinigang soup was very flavorful with the sweet and sour taste- just the way I like it. My dad agreed and he's really picky when it comes to soup. Customer service from Jean was great! She was really attentive and chatty with us from the time we stepped in, until we left. She was also patient with us when we were trying to figure out what to order and recommended a few dishes, as well as answered questions, as the menu prices increased a little, and some appetizers were unclear as to how many pieces came with the order. We were told that their menu was limited due to Covid. Perfectly fine so we looked at what we thought we'd like. Tupac ordered the Kare Kare and I had the Tokwa't Baboy. The tofu and meat was extremely hard and lacked flavor. I was hoping it had vinegar mixed in it. The kare kare was also just alright. My BF usually loves kare kare but in this case he said it was just OK. Overall, I'd return again and order something else. It was probably just an off day/dish. I don't understand why Filipino restaurants always do so. Why can't it be included with an entree, do charge when ordering rice only, or charge once? And some parts of the rice served was undercooked. We've ordered initially Bulalo and Sisig. After so many minutes, the server informed us that they do not have the ingredients for Bulalo. Why didn't the chef or the server know this prior to opening time? Supposedly the taste of the items was outstanding since the chef came from a famous restaurant that closed down in Henderson. We use to frequent Cafe De Manila on Sundays to eat the delicious filipino food. One Sunday afternoon, Gene, who has served us many times before, gave us terrible service with a sprinkle of attitude. We always order a lot of food since there's usually 3 or more of us, plus we love left overs ;) This particular day I wanted soup with shrimp but I was undecided because I also wanted soup with bangus. She said "don't worry about it, I'll take care of it". Sounds like she's taking care of us as regular customers but I really wasn't sure what she meant; and like I said, we always order a lot, our bill is usually $100 or more. She "delivered" our meals & the ONE soup with bangus & shrimp. I had to remind her we still needed our water. She gave me a look like I was bothering her for the waters. She never came back to see if everything was good or if we needed anything else, like water & drink refills, napkins, vinegar sauce,...etc...I literally had to keep getting up to ask for what we needed. We stacked our plates to indicate we were done, hoped she would see it & come clear the table of the plates, then offer to-go containers & drop our bill; again,...to no avail. We were completely neglected of any service/attention once she "delivered" our meals. My entire group was dumbfounded by her inattentiveness I got the to-go containers, we hurriedly packed up our leftovers to leave this very unpleasant Sunday afternoon lunch experience. We should of just walked out since I had to go get the bill. I hastily paid the bill intentionally not adding a tip on the C.C. No service= No tip. Unbeknownst to me, and seeing my receipt later that day, she actually included a 20% (* party of 5 or more) gratuity into the bill AND she charged me TWO SOUPS at $15.99 each...the one she said"dont worry about it, I'll take care of it"...the ONE soup where she added the shrimp with the bangus. She is scandalous ripping us off financially. She doesn't deserve ANY amount of tip for giving NO SERVICE at all. Boy,...she really did "take care of it $$$" for her personal $$$gain. My Mom wanted some Filipino food while visiting Las Vegas. I found this place just 10 minutes away from Palms Casino and Resort where we stayed at. Jean greeted us with great hospitality and told us about their specialties. We ordered a couple of street foods and traditional Filipino dishes. Street Food: Hotdog on a stick: Typical grilled hotdog in a stick served with ketchup as dipping sauce. If you were raised in the Philippines. This kind of street food will bring up a lot of childhood memories as for this is normally one of the staples in any childrens party you attend. Pork Isaw: As someone who grew up in the Philippines. My standard with street food/delicacy is very high. This place did not disappoint! I loved how they seasoned their pork intestines. Definitely a must when visiting this establishment. Makati Pusilog: This is new to me as for I am only familiar with the 3 silogs. Tapa, Tocino and Longanisa. Their Makati pusilog consists of dried squid and egg served with steamed rice. I can't express enough my love for dried squid. Especially dipping it with spiced vinegar. Caldereta: This restaurants version captured that exact Filipino style/flavor. Overall, this is a great place to go to if you are craving authentic Flipino food. You will definitetly get that very welcoming Filipino hospitality ambiance as soon as you go in. It was clean, organized, welcoming and best of all, the service was on point. I had several of their silog breakfast items and they didn't disappoint. The sisg was also very good.
