Such a gem of a coffeeshop! I definitely recommend getting one of their house specialties, though you can't go wrong with customizing your own latte (they have a variety of milks, even pistachio milk)! My favorites were the iced banana horchata latte and prickly pear matcha. So creamy and smooth, and such balanced flavors. I savored every sip! I've also tried the espresso grapefruit spritz before, which was unique and refreshing! The place itself is super cute but not much space to sit. It has its own parking lot behind the shop, which makes it super convenient. I'll be coming here again and again!

I stopped by Cafe Duro to try their banana horchata matcha but they were out of it today. The two people behind the counter were nice and helpful. I like the vibe of this place, it is more of a casual place to stand and drink coffee or wine. There is no seating in the cafe, but there are some standing tables. I ended up getting a vanilla oat milk matcha latte and one of their italian sausage kolaches which were both great. The matcha was smooth and did not have any clumps which is always a great sign. The kolache was served hot and was nice and flaky with its croissant crust. The parking situation here is that there are limited spaces behind the store. When I went (10am on a Tuesday) there were several spots open. They also have valet parking but I am not entirely sure of the details on that. Overall I enjoyed this place they have a pretty standard vanilla matcha latte. I will be back to try their specialty drinks!

To be completely honest, I heard the matcha at this spot was really good, so we decided to spend a morning bopping around lower Greenville. On our way in, I had a craving for an espresso tonic though, so that's what I ordered and it totally hit the spot. A good espresso tonic is the drink that really signals the start of summer for me and they executed it perfectly! I also really liked the banana horchata my cousin ordered. The staff were friendly and service was quick. The actual bar is quite small, standing room mostly, but there's patio space if you plan on hanging out. I will definitely have to go back to try the matcha! Highly recommend starting here if you plan on spending the morning strolling lower Greenville.

Cafe Duro has a charming and beautifully designed interior. It gives off a trendy, cozy vibe. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which is always a plus. However, it's important to note that there's no traditional seating available--only a few standing tables. So if you are planning to stay and work or relax, this might not be the best spot. More of a grab-n-go kinda spot. Parking can also be a bit of a challenge. They do have a small lot tucked away in the back, but it's very limited and often full. I tried their Banana Horchata Matcha, and while the concept sounded unique and intriguing, the execution left a little to be desired. The drink was visually appealing with its vibrant green color, but flavor-wise, it leaned heavily on the banana horchata side. I couldn't detect any matcha flavor at all--it felt more like a banana milk with a splash of horchata, dyed green. Not bad, but honestly, I couldn't taste any matcha at all. If you're expecting that earthy matcha flavor, you'll probably be a little disappointed. Overall, it's a nice spot with good vibes.

If you're in Dallas, this is a great spot to get some matcha. The vibe is nice, and feels very nature esque. It did take a while for us to get our drink but it's a matcha spot so I was expecting it tbh. I'm not a big matcha connoisseur but my gf is and she really enjoyed it, and so did I. We got the horchata banana matcha and the banana flavor had no artificial taste to it and was very pleasing to the tongue, however I wish the horchata flavor can in a little more through.

banana horchata matcha is bomb. I drink so much matcha that this is one of top ten in dfw. The only complaint I have is the parking. I dont want to valet my car for a drink. Please, getting rid of parking so you can valet is the equivalent of horrible tipping culture. just squeezing any dollar out of the customer as possible. Parking is already scarce around lower greenville.

Cafe Duro has excellent coffee and food! My friend took us here and it did not disappoint. The line does get a bit long on a Saturday morning, but it goes by quickly and we waited about 10 minutes for everything to come out. We ordered the cortado, spice latte, and banana horchata, chicken panini, raspberry lemon bar, and breakfast pizzeta. The pizzeta was my favorite as it was light, fluffy, and full of flavor. Everything was high quality and on point. The coffee shop is a bit small, but they have more seating at their sister shop next door.

Espresso is dark and bitter, Italian-style. Drip coffee is delicious. Banana horchata matcha also yummy, not overly sweet.

There's a lot to like about Cafe Duro. It has a cute ambiance, and the drip coffee was quite good. Service was relatively quick (although a long line grew after we arrived). The parfait and the banana horchata matcha were both quite sweet, no surprise. The matcha wasn't as sweet as it could have been (a good thing in my book), and the flavor was really nice. I'd get it again if I was in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. They were out of the McDuro breakfast sandwich and a couple other food items by the time we got there around 1 pm on a Sunday. So, that was a bummer. The mushroom grilled cheese was pretty delicious, though. Limited seating is one of the big drawbacks here, but that also might be a good thing, because the #1 reason I'm giving 3 stars is that when we left, after sitting on stools by the window far away from the kitchen (where we moved immediately after I took this photo) for about 30-45 minutes, our hair and clothes REEKED of cooking oil. I mean, it was so off-putting that we had to go home and immediately throw everything we were wearing in the laundry. So...yeah...I guess maybe grab-and-go is the move here, unless they can get their ventilation fixed.

Café Duro is a wonderful little coffee shop in a neighborhood in Dallas. It is a very popular spot in a local neighborhood on the weekends. They have great homemade drinks and they also a couple of food items on their menu. The menu is fairly small but everything was really delicious. The inside is fairly small and they only have a couple of tables but they do have an outdoor patio. If you are looking for a great local spot with delicious home made coffee drinks and food this is your spot.

After trying the adjacent Sister restaurant, we had to try cafe duro. We got coffee as well as the McDuro sandwich and an italian panini. The panini was great but the McDuro was a real standout. It was a delicious take on McDonalds' famous McMuffin sandwiches with fresher, tastier ingredients. The coffee was also of high quality. My only complaint is that it took a while to get our food because it was so busy. I would recommend coming here.

Finally had a chance to check this place out and it did not disappoint! Cafe Duro doubles as a coffee shop and wine bar, we came on a Saturday morning for coffee. The menu is filled with fun/unique drinks. We tried the prickly pear matcha and the banana horchata and really enjoyed both for something different. Parking is also conveniently located behind the shop. read more

This is one of my favorite cafes in lower Greenville. The inside is so cute with and European aesthetic. They have all the classic drinks but also some fun ones on the menu. My friend got a topo chico drink and loved it. I was boring and got a matcha latte, but it was excellent and not too sweet. There isn't much seating in the actual cafe, but there are plenty of tables and seating next door on the patio at their sister restaurant called Sister. Just ask the barista where to go and they'll show you! My friend and I came here to catch up on life and do some work and it was just the perfect little spot. I will definitely be back! read more

Such a quaint little cafe! Reminds me of cafes in Milan. Really unique beverages - I tried a few different ones each visit and liked them all (including banana horchata, chai matcha, caramel pistachio cold brew). Would stop by to pick up lunch. My favorite sandwich was the chicken pickle panini (SO GOOD) whereas the artichoke one was not my favorite (not a fan of olives and didn't realize they were in there). There's standing room but definitely not a sit down. Service was always really kind and knowledgeable -- picked up a good bottle of white wine on my last visit. read more

It's a small, kind of hole-in-the-wall, cute cafe. The panini was excellent and a good size. I got the pickled chicken. They do not have a blender to make frappes or other blended drinks. So, I got a caramel latte. It was okay. It could have used a little more "espresso/coffee" flavor as I predominately tasted warmed milk. read more

Really enjoyed the food and drinks here! Very unique menu (I got the banana horchata which was excellent!) My friend got the matcha (which was dairy free and good to know!) The croissant was flaky and she enjoyed the egg bites. They have some seating inside the cafe but there's another covered outdoor area next door. read more

I finally had an opportunity to visit this gem of a place today and WOW. My soul is so satisfied with the one hour that I got to spend being refreshed by the sounds of meditative music, the slow pace, and the quietness of this place. I ordered an oat milk cappuccino (decaf) with a touch of honey/ cinnamon, and it was served in a beautiful cup that reminded me of one I'd find in my family's cubby of cultural yet traditional mugs. The drink was smooth and tasty; and the beet salad that I got with my drink was very zesty with bursts of bright flavors (the beets, tomatoes, arugula, and dressing complemented each other well). The staff was also very pleasant and, overall, my experience was delightful. I'll be back soon! read more

Such a cute little cafe. There's limited seating inside the cafe, but you're allowed to sit on Sister's patio with your order. The baristas were friendly and helpful with the menu. We ordered their signature Nutella raspberry nitro. It was so good! And aesthetically appealing. I wish they did multiple sizes for their lattes. We had one their and got another to go. I cannot say enough good things about Cafe Duro! You will see me here at least once a week. My guilty pleasure is their Italian kolache and lox bagel. Wow oh wow, you will not find a better one anywhere in Dallas. The other night I also picked up some of their fresh pasta (if it's not out, ask! They will still sell it to you fresh from sister next door) and make a simple basil sauce. I will never buy my pasta anywhere else - it's incredible. read more

Not a bad little addition to the neighborhood. But need to work on prices. Grabbed a bottle of wine the other night to go...they have a obscure Italian wines...so wasn't overly familiar. Bottle was like $60 and they ask for a tip...which I tossed a small amount on...so was all in for $70. I didn't have my phone on me when I was there, otherwise would have used Vivino app to check it out. The bottle retails for $24. Love the restaurant next door, but not sure I'm a buyer of 3x retail prices on wine...when I'm paying for a retail bottle of wine to go. But perhaps that's just me. read more

We were sat in the darkest of the rooms that was very romantic, and thankfully the music wasn't too loud. When we were seated we found a frame on the table holding a message congratulations us on our anniversary, with our names included. It was very sweet! Our server was prompt, attentive, and very charming. She asked us questions about ourselves and also gave great recommendations throughout the night. The drinks were good! However, the Passionate Kiss started to taste very chemical forward the longer it sat (I'm a slow drinker) so I only finished half of it. Not sure if it was because of the print on the foam originally or what, but it wasn't pleasant. I got the scallops and loved them, especially since I was able to try their orzo with it that normally comes with the salmon instead. The scallops were tender and the flavor was rich and well balanced with the rest of the plate. My boyfriend loved his chops and devoured everything. He also got the Potatoes Au Gratin and couldn't get enough. They were very rich and had great flavor. I had previously seen reviews from others saying the potatoes and other dishes were bland but that was not our experience. The rolls were one of the best parts. I wish I could whip butter like that at home. Towards the end they brought us a couple of glasses of Prosecco to cheers with, and a complimentary dessert (the Samoa sundae). We also ordered the Chocolate Decadence which was incredibly good. The goal is to come back next year, and plenty of times before that as well. Thanks to the Evelyn team for such a great dinner!

The lobster dish for 2 was a good portion of lobster and pasta. Do yourself a favor and order the chocolate cake for dessert (get this!) it was moist and indulgent! Overall, the look was amazing, vibes were not intimate, more party esq. food was good not great, drinks were strong and tasty. Absolutely worth it for the experience.

If you're in Lower Greenville, Cafe Duro is absolutely worth the stop. Yes, it leans a bit pricey for a neighborhood bistro, but the consistency, quality, and overall experience make it easy to understand why people keep coming back. The food is consistently solid so much so that their famous Chicken Panini has been known to sell out, which honestly tells you everything you need to know. My daughter and niece are now completely hooked on the Banana Matcha as well... and trust me, thank me later. The atmosphere fits Lower Greenville perfectly: stylish, relaxed, and ideal for a casual brunch, coffee meetup, or midday reset. Just a heads up weekends are a different beast. Greenville turns into one of Dallas' main social hubs, so expect crowds, traffic, and a lively scene if you decide to pull up during peak hours. Overall, Cafe Duro has definitely earned its spot as one of my go-to stops in the area. read more

I ordered a cortado, and it was both sweet and strong, which I appreciated since I usually dislike sweet coffee. I definitely recommend it. For food, I had the chicken caesar salad, which was a bit overpriced. The taste was average, but there was a good amount of chicken for the extra $7 I paid. Note that there's no seating inside the coffee shop; you have to sit outside on the patio, which has plenty of seating. read more
