Very disappointed in cafe Gia .. I spent nearly 100$ this past nite . My Greek salad was a NO SHOW , there was no prosciutto in the Ala Vodka , the rice ball came but with no dipping sauce . There was absolutely no good outcome ... talking to someone who said was manager ... a Store Credit of 12.95 for the Greek salad . So I'm normally not one to write reviews at all, especially not negative ones, but I gotta say I'm disappointed with my experience this time. The first time I was here, I came with my elderly grandmother and parents on Christmas Eve a few years back (pre-COVID) as a treat to get her out of her Rehab Center, and the service along with the food was GREAT! That being said, this time around, I came with the same company for Mother's Day. My mom made a reservation a few days in advance and specified that we would have a person with a wheelchair, so she requested a table. When we arrived, the hostess said the person who took our reservation did not specify a table, so the only option we had was a booth... fine--but we were worried about servers bumping into her since she was in the aisle. There was definitely difficulty with space! Once we ordered, we were told there were no mozzi sticks (bummer), but it was 4pm on Mother's Day--not sure how that happened! Fast forward almost TWO HOURS later, still no food. They were definitely understaffed and the management certainly was not doing well. They seemed to have been helping out the carry out area before serving the in house guests! I never blame the servers because I know how it feels to be the messenger! Clearly, management was struggling! When I got my food, the eggplant parm was very very thin so I was basically just eating breading. My pasta was also a bit undercooked. That being said, the flavor was definitely there! Finally, the restaurant seemed to have gotten into a flow and the crowds calmed down. We decided to stay for dessert because my grandmother wanted a cannoli and it was Mother's Day after all! Our server was very apologetic about the whole evening and came through with dessert! All in all, just very disappointed in my experience this time, especially since it was a holiday and the restaurant should've prepared for that. I hope that Cafe Gia improves their management/customer service so that we can happily come back, considering it's my grandmother's favorite restaurant close to her rehab center! Fantastic! This is by far the best pizza in the Bellport area. I have had pretty much every type of slice you can have there and they are all great, my favorites would be the buffalo chicken slice and white spinach slice. I've been going to Cafe Gia for years now there's food is usually good. But I'm posting this particular review bc I will never eat there again. I bought one of their pre-made chicken Paninis it has grilled chicken breast, mozzarella & broccoli rabe. Well the bottom bread was so wet when you picked it up it literally went limp,just soaked. The top panini bread was so hard u could of played hockey with it and the chicken breast was black, BURNT TO A CRISP! I Tried to call them when I got home but they were closed already. So the following day I brought it back in to explain the dilemma. The younger,tall, darker skinned girl wish I knew her name so I didn't have to use description. Was so rude to me, rolling her eyes, waving and flicking her hands making sighing noises. I wasn't as disturbed or disappointed in the food as much, but how I was treated was so disrespectful and uncalled for. The manager never even reprimanded her for her toxic behavior towards customers. So in closing if they screw up your order don't bring the food back (not that they ever give receipts) bc they will treat u like crap. Their service was right on the point, the receipt was provided along with exact price stated on the menu and most importantly had a very delicious, classic Margarita pizza pie! Strip Mall location, Modern ambiance, Young friendly staff. Cafe Gia is casual dining but feels high end. sleek modern ambiance and a fully stocked bar would make this a nice spot to take a date or come after work if you're wanting to see a game. It's got a flat screen TV but doesn't feel like a sports bar. The counter has a nice selection of specialty slice, Calzones, and Pizza Roll / Stromboli type edibles. The food we ordered we did take out. Large Pie. 1/2 cheese 1/2 Pepperoni and onions and an order of Fried Calamari. great stuff. The calamari wasn't rubbery the breading was not overpowering. The Marinara was tasty for dipping and the lemon was a nice touch. The Pizza was outstanding. a nice thin yet not floppy crust. worth mentioning is the sauce, cheese and toppings were melded into the crust "handle" this was true pizza craftsmanship. Surprisingly a little more oily than anticipated but I don't mind that, it's a good thing. Pepperoni was mild no spice but good flavor. onions were sauteed and complimented the pepperoni. Per slice a well balanced cheese to sauce. sauce was subtle and earthy. I will be back and do recommend Cafe Gia to anyone. read more

Pretty solid Italian place, lunch was ok. Here are my gripes: I got a side of pasta, which they put cheese on. I can't eat cheese, so I couldn't eat my side. They seated our party of six by the back area where the bathrooms and an exit to the alley are. It was bitterly cold and staff kept opening the back door, resulting in a lovely burst of cold. We frequent this place mostly on Friday nights.. it's a very busy pizzeria with a table service restaurant as well. Don't let the pizzeria deceive you - this restaurant has nightly specials that can compete with the best Italian eateries. My favorite is their Chilean sea bass and their fried calamari. They have the best sauce and their calamari is always tender and fresh. Last night I had their pasta special which was a cavatelli pasta with shrimp, asparagus, sundries tomatoes in a pink cream sauce... it was by far one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had - better than Carmine's in NYC. Kids can order pasta dishes half size, their soups are homemade, they have specialty pizzas as well they can get by the slice. Buyer Beware! They have gone to a new pricing policy which basically says prices on menu are for those paying cash. It is not noticeable on menu nor advised to you before ordering. The Calzone I purchased tonight was on menu for $6.95 but billed after meal @ $8.95. All other items on our bill were higher priced than on menu. It is so easy to pay, for anything, by credit/debit card in this day and age that I have not cash in my pocket for last 7 days. This place is a solid choice for pizza. Living on Long Island, we're pretty inundated with options. This place is geographically desirable for me, as it is less than a mile from my apartment. Service is fast and friendly, and the shop itself is clean and modern looking. I love their rice balls - but I can never be sure whether or not they'll have them. Pasta dishes I've tried in the past are nothing to write home about, so I skip them. Their plain & grandma slice is good - but not great. Instead, I prefer to go with a specialty slice - they make an awesome chicken, bacon ranch slice & buffalo chicken slice as well. Garlic knots are on point as well. This is the 3rd time that I was so dissatisfied with the quality of the pasta, I have tried 3 different types of pasta thinking maybe one would be better than the other but ive come to the conclusion that it's probably stop and shop brand or something. It's very chalky and pasty, and falls apart. The only time I've had pasta that tastes like that was the cheapest brand from the grocery store. This is now the second time I have placed a delivery order with cafe gia through doordash and both times they have messed up my orders. Both times there were incorrect items and items missing. So now, for a second time, I have two kids who do not have dinner because one of the meals was missing and the other was made wrong, actually not even close to what it was supposed to be. When I called to explain the situation to cafe gia, all I received was an attitude from the high schooler who answered the phone saying there is nothing they can do and they "thoroughly check all orders" before they go out the door. I found one of the nicest things there, was the server Christina who took the order with a smile and when there was a discrepancy, handled it sweetly and smoothly. (an extra star for her) Now, where was I, oh, yea, 2 people could share and that was one of the specials without a salad. Bread was served. Chicken and shrimp was good and noodles in olive oil tasty but rather hard aldente. My friend ordered ravioli parmesan and upon receiving ziti; requested the change and a few minutes later, got a fresh corrected plate. Take home containers were given in paper bags. Along with the Italian sub I ordered to go. (yes Subways is only a few stores away) My husband said it was a good sandwich though. After being told to come here for months, I finally gave in today to see what Gia Pizza was about. It's located in a shopping center so parking is not a issue. The biggest surprise was walking in. This place looks like a five star restaurant. Tile floors, dark wood borders, comfortable AC, and very nice soft booths that fill up the restaurant. They play a mash up of different music that is great for all ages if you decided to eat in. The hostesses up front are very polite as they direct traffic. They asked me immediately if I needed help. I walked to the counter and ordered 4 slices (two for me) and mozzarella sticks. The Marsala Slice and the Buffalo Slice were my picks of the day. Once that was out the way I sat at a comfortable booth and waited briefly for my food. Once it was ready it was time to try. My favorite was the Buffalo Slice. Maybe the best slice I ever tried. It was soft and chewy at the same time. It has just the right amount of kick and the chicken was great. They didn't charge for blue cheese which is a nice change and the blue cheese was good as well. The wonderful waitress Jessie brought over my mozzarella sticks as I ate my pizza. The sticks were ok, but not the best. The wonderful hostess bussed my table and we didn't even ask her. What a nice change of pace from normal pizzeria's. I am going to come here more in order to try more menu items. I think Gia Pizza is a great spot to visit, if your around Medford. read more

Fresh pizza fast turn around here. Their bruschetta mozzarella on toast points are amazing. They have a nice restaurant part with a full bar.
