Visted @ilovecafelola for the first time in henderson today and sadly I was so disappointed. Cute asthetic vibe but service was not it. I had ordered some waffles with strawberries...next thing I know, 35 mins had gone by and I noticed I didn't have my food yet. I told an employee that passed by with food for another table and she told me she would check on my order. Another 10 mins went by and she never came back. Turns out I guess they lost my ticket? And never made my order. Besides all that, the staff was rude and unpolitically. When I ordered I asked to substitute a croissant in place of the bread that comes with the breakfast dish and I can pay any up charge. The cashier was not too friendly but explained I would have to order it separately and cannot make substitutions. The food was fresh and delicious - I tried the avocado toast with boiled egg and it was flavorful. My daughter had their grilled cheese. The bread is a bit on the bigger said for her small mouth lol. But she liked it. The drinks we got were the mermaid and shark drinks for the littles. My oldest said it was too sweet for her but she doesn't really care for sweets. So maybe a bit more tea will be good next time. My other daughter loved her shark drink. We also go pastries! The cinnamon roll and a sugar cookie with pink icing, it was super good!! My first visit to Cafe Lola was fantastic. It was a weekday, not busy. We had pumpkin spice chai lattes that were amazing, a gluten free pumpkin spice donut, a bagel with lox, and a burrata and greens plate that was delicious. The decor is so cute, lots of great spots for photo ops. I couldn't wait to return with my daughters in law and my granddaughters. This first visit is the only reason I gave them 3 stars. Well the second visit was nothing like the first. It was a massive disappointment. They were much busier as it was Thanksgiving weekend, which was to be expected and we were able to get a table. The chai was once again delicious, but the sugar cookie latte my DIL ordered wasn't very good. My granddaughters got the unicorn waffles and loved them. My one DIL got the bagel and lox which she enjoyed. My other DIL ordered the egg and Turkey croissant sandwich, it was totally burnt. She didn't want to be difficult and send it back, insisting that she'd just eat it. She ate part of it, put the rest in a box and we ended up throwing it out the next day. We had ordered the Creme Brûlée French toast to share, and when it was delivered it was totally burnt. I'm not talking about the bruleed sugar, it was the bread itself that was burnt black. It made the burnt croissant look good. The vanilla cream was nonexistent. We took one bite and did send this dish back. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of it. The other problem is that the food came out one dish at a time over about 20-25 minutes so nobody had their food at the same time. I did send an email to them expressing my disappointment but never received an answer. I doubt we'll be back, it was such a total let down and I felt it was a big waste of quite a bit of money. If I was grading on this visit alone it would be 1 star, only because zero isn't an option. read more

And they might be a touch over normal costs you'll find in some restaurants, but they're pretty on par when you realize that they're also offering above what those restaurants are. Cafe Lola charges high tea prices with bodega service. The seating was a free for all. I had to go to the counter and order the food like a deli. This was a disappointing experience to say the least. The place was very slow and decor is slightly tacky. Everything was pink and flowers, which makes me feel like I'm at a baby shower versus a coffee/tea shop. The staff member that took my order barely spoke English so it made ordering very tricky. She didn't understand me and I didn't understand her. I ordered mostly by pointing to the menu. I ordered the classic breakfast with a side of the salmon lox and an iced oatmilk latte. The total was about $30. The food was not good, eggs didn't taste like eggs, toast was dripping with oil or butter, the lox salmon was really dry and hardened around the edges, which makes me believe that it is old or left out for a while. I could've had much better food, coffee, and a better ambience at so many other places. Part of the reason I went here is because I see videos of the owner bragging about how great the food, coffee, and how amazing her coffee shops are and so I thought I would give it a try...and now I just think she's lying. I definitely did not have that experience, it was actually the opposite. During the time I was there eating my food and doing some work, a few people trickled in and they sat near where I was. They also did not like their food and barely ate it, I can see why, their food did not look good either. Overall, there was nothing positive about this place or the experience. I came here after a doctors appointment on a Wednesday at 11:20am. I was actually very surprised to see the amount of dirty tables vs guests here. There were a lot of dirty tables and only about 5 tables with people max. Tables had definitely not been cleared for awhile. The decor here is great! Very clean design and very photogenic. Especially if you were here with friends. When I went up to place my order there was one employee standing at the register and one stand a ways back behind the counter. They never spoke. Finally I went to the register employee and started to place my order. She just looked at me and said someone would be with me in a minute and rolled her eyes. It was a very uncomfortable interaction. Finally an employee came from the back and was very friendly and took my order. I found a place to sit and it took them another 15 minutes to bring me an Iced Alex's Coffee. There were no other orders! I'm not sure if they were training someone or what the issue was, but it does not take 15 minutes to make a single coffee. When she brought it out, the outside of the cup was all wet with coffee. It was a mess. As for the food, the vegan donut is super sweet. I was not expecting it to be that sweet and could not eat it. The chocolate croissant was delicious! I would definitely order that again. It was flaky and very tasty. The Alex's coffee is excellent! I would definitely order that again. I was in the restaurant around 45 minutes total. While I was there no one ever did come clear tables. They didn't even take the number off your table when they brought you your order. Only two other groups (one with two people and one with four) came in after me. There was plenty of time for clearing tables. The sad part of my experience is all of this can be changed with training and some discipline. I'm pretty sure my experience is not the Cafe Lola experience they want. read more

Me and my friend went to eat at Lola's have eaten there many times and suggested it to many friends but this one particular time as we went we showed up about 1 o'clock took us a little bit to order we finally ordered at the window the manager of the place was a little bit short with us, we finally got part of our food. My friend got her burger, 20 minutes later after I got my food, it was about 2:50 the manager came by to let us know they were closing which there were still people eating that had just gotten their food , we felt very rushed to leave, I did let him know that it was not very nice to rush us out when people were still in fact eating in the restaurant his reply was I don't think I should have to pay my employees till 5 o'clock so you can sit there . Nobody said anything about leaving at 5 o'clock ! I'm a little confused why Cafe Lola is rocking such low ratings Yelpstars! Boo and I have been to the Henderson location multiple times when in the Las Vegas area and each time has been 5 stars. This location is large and beautifully decorated inside. The cherry on top is the breakfast food and coffee. The bacon,egg, turkey, cheddar croissant is excellent. Went here today for the first time, I only live 5 mins away from here, when I drive by Cafe Lola I always say I'm going to go to this place one day when I have the time because I'm into tea and tea parties are me and my daughters thing, we traveled and been to many tea cafes in 3 states so far, Washington, Oregon and now Nevada, this one happens to disappoint me by their customer service because we are not your average type of people. Upon arrival I checked out and made my order online to DINE IN, thinking okay perfect we don't need to worry about a thing I just get there and sit down with my daughter once we tell them our name assuming I'm dining in not taking out, I get there and nobody greeted us till about a minute of me and my daughter standing at the counter awkward because I'm wondering where to stand or sit because the line was shuffled and put off to the left side of the counter, as soon as someone walked to the register I told them I had made my order online and the blonde woman in the back asked what my name was and I told her, then she shouted "Oh we just got that order!" I said "oh okay where should we sit?" and she looked to the left, which was my right side and said there, Idk if she seen but I didn't come alone as she may not have seen my 3 year old because she's small but those seats were not made for toddlers and looked like it was for to go orders. I ended up not listening to her and sat myself and my daughter in one of the middle booths because I ordered to dine in and tipped, from then she started doing her job and kept passing our table with rudeness not asking any questions or smiling and looking away so I couldn't ask her anything as if I wasn't supposed to sit in the booth with my daughter or maybe she's racist because I'm Polynesian or thought I was Latina. Anyways, when the order was ready she called my name to come walk to pick up my order from the counter, and walked away from it not saying if my food was in the package, I didn't want to be rude or ruin me and my daughters day by arguing with someone so I kept my cool but she put our order in a take out bag instead, and this is where I felt mistreated for the first time in a tea cafe, the lemonade with the cotton candy over flowed the lid and almost got stained on my daughters brand new expensive bluey costume, if you have cameras in store you will see me getting up fast to walk away from my kid and the table grabbing a bunch of napkins because as soon as I put her straw in, it over flowed and stained the table, the food was pretty good, but the service was unacceptable, not so friendly, and they should read if people are dining in or actually taking out, I threw away my own garbage and ate out of the take out boxes, I wanted the experience of dining in. read more

The grilled cheese had some meat in the middle which added a salty taste which complimented the dish. The spicy chicken sandwich was recommended by the cashier and it was not good. Too salty, chicken was dry, romaine lettuce was wilted. I used the bread with the tomato soup and didn't even finish the inner parts... We ordered the in full bloom drink and frozen rose and it was like 18-20$ so keep that in mind... like I said aesthetically pleasing but you pay for it. We also got the macaroon and it was 3$ each. Disappointing! As a former small restaurant owner and chef, I'm so saddened by leaving a one-star. (This is my first time ever leaving a one star). Counter-ordering brunch, hmm, ok. Wouldn't be so bad if the counter people were at least smiling. One more seasoned and one green employee struggled to give us their attention while figuring out missed items from previous orders. That should have been a sign. Ordered 2 lattes, 2 cocktails, 4 "entrees", and 2 pastries. $130 Wrong cocktail, asked for a frozen rosé, given a regular rosé. When asked if it was correct, they gave sorbet in a glass. Ok? Handed us plates to carry pastries to our table, along with one of our cocktails. Self-serve utensils. Sat down, and one of the gals brought out a latte and cocktail. She proceeded to deliver our food as they were ready. We had 2 plates delivered, still missing a latte. Asked for the latte, they said they'll check on it. Another gal brought out another entree and let it down on the table without any gentleness and an upset demeanor. Maybe a fluke? Nope, came back with the last plate and put it down on the table the same heavy, loud way as the previous. No words just let the plates bang on the table. All plates and cocktails delivered, still missing a latte. Food was "ok". Small plates for the price point. Overly sweet- even the savory toast was overloaded with jam that I couldn't enjoy it. Overall, won't return. Counter service, self-service casual vibe, price doesn't justify. Combined with moody staff, no thank you. I'm not there for selfies and instaworthy backdrops. This is definitely a cute place to visit for brunch if you're in the area! When you walk in, you'll instantly feel a lively vibe. We went around 10:30am, and it was busy. We had about a 45min wait until we got our food. I ordered the strawberry shortcake waffle and it was probably the best strawberry waffle I've had in awhile. It's not too sweet and it has a little crunch to it from the cookie crumbles. They also give you strawberry syrup and extra strawberry whipped cream! I usually never finish any breakfast waffle plate at other restaurants because it's too sweet, but the balance of sweetness is just right at Cafe Lola Then I got the unicorn lemonade. It came with cotton candy on top and a blue syrup. I honestly didn't know this, but you're actually supposed to pour the blue syrup on top of the cotton candy and watch it all dissolve into the drink. I thought it was going to be super sweet, but surprisingly it didn't have a strong lemonade taste to it. It has like a hint of rosey taste to it, like some sort of flower tea flavor. I actually enjoyed this drink and I would get it again. They have a cute photo op with their wall decor (pictured) as well as a pink phone booth (not pictured ). They also have two separate unisex restrooms, both of which are nice and clean.
