I stopped in on my way through town and was blown away by this unassuming little place. I routinely order a poached egg and fresh fruit knowing that there is a 30% chance I will be returning the egg because it is overcooked. Often, even if it is not overcooked, I get it in a little puddle of water that I have to soak up with a napkin before I can eat it. I ordered a poached egg and fresh fruit and it was hands-down the best version of that combination I have ever gotten. The egg was absolutely perfect and presented with elegance if you can believe that. The fruit was fresh, and each type of fruit was individually handled with care and served beautifully. My companion had biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were huge. The gravy, according to him was heaven. Neither of us drink, but we watched mimosas go by and they were beautiful. I loved this place! I ordered Eggs Benedict, and it was perfectly cooked and presented...for the most part. One weird thing was that when I cut into my eggs, they had retained some water, and that came out on my English muffin and made it a bit soggy. But the muffin was VERY tasty and unique. My sisters and I were at Cafe Mimosa yesterday to celebrate my sister's birthday. We were first timers and definitely looking forward to going again! Our server was delightful, gracious, and very attentive! She checked in on us several times and brought over any and all condiments. She came over to let us know her shift was over but no pressure. The other server that took over was just as gracious. We throughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented! The guava mimosas were excellent too! Very busy on a Saturday at noon, we were quoted a 15 minute wait but we're texted that our table was available in 10 min. Menu has plenty of variety for breakfast or lunch. Great choice of a variety of mimosa's and champagnes. If there's two in your party and both are having mimosa's it's worth it to get the "Bottle Service" that will cost you $4 more. Food and Mimosa's reasonably priced. By American standards you may find the wait staff to be slowed as a result of their capacity but they're all professional, pleasant and attentive. The host greeted us as soon as we entered and got us seated. They have roughly seven flavors to choose for your mimosas, beer, or even juice, coffee, or soda if a little champagne for breakfast isn't your speed. We ordered the pineapple and raspberry mimosas. Super delicious! For their food menu, they have your average breakfast items from omelettes, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs benedict and so on. And a few lunch items as well such as sandwiches, burgers, salads, and so on. Everything that I could see coming out looked pretty darn good. We ordered eggs benny and a veggie omelette. For being their grand opening, I was thoroughly impressed! But we all know that's not practical when you're "adulting" and have to be at work making the bacon. The new location is lovely. The remodel of the building turned out great. It has a very welcoming vibe to it. Parking, well that's a different story as it's quite limited, but not impossible to find. I would recommend calling ahead and making reservations. This restaurant has been packed each time I've driven passed it and if you drop in there's quite a wait. I learned this the hard way. The mimosas are delicious. Hands down some of the best I've ever had and they did have a little kick to them if you know what I mean. The Mimosa of the month for February is the Dragonfruit. It was AMAZING! The food is spectacular as well. You get huge portions which allows for leftovers and the food is very flavorful. This is written in hopes that The owner if it's still Mr. Atallah receives this & actually does something about it. July 26 - Wednesday My Birthday breakfast; 4 of us met there after a busy night at work... this place has been a go to for many staff at the hospital- we're fans obviously... my usual is the chilaquiles with steak or chicken- always on point; salsa Verde has a slight kick but not too much I can't handle. Except that day - it was on the very spicy side. I worked through it trying my best to just eat through it about halfway I gave up it was just way too spicy. I didn't complain nor mentioned anything to our server just to my friends. Server came & asked how things were & then I told her that it was too spicy & tried but couldn't get past halfway. She came back & offered if I wanted something else. I said sure gave her my order & she took my plate of chilaquiles. A few mins later she came back & told me that I would still get charged for the side of steak on top of my new order - mind you she took my plate halfway full. I then reminded her that she took my plate & never finished the meal. She then said she'll get her manager. Manager Maria came & we explained to her I don't understand why I'm being charged for a meal I didn't finish but halfway she insisted that it was finished and that the chef knows how much goes in there hence the charge.. We all 4 took turns telling her that was not true & I then asked for my plate back so I can then finish it-ZERO response...She was completely deaf to the situation extremely aggressive and beyond condescending on top of this she tried to cheat on the tab! If you want to add a protein to the Chilaquiles it's an additional $10 I chose steak. On the table she rung up steak @ $16 on top of the full priced chilaquiles I didn't finish since they took my plate.. I then asked for her & asked her why she was charging me $16 for a side of steak? She didn't have an answer except to Keep saying thank you! I told her don't thank me it's patronizing & she didn't fix the issue. I told her she had the worst customer service for a manager & that was our worst experience there ever since we've been coming there from opening day... Maria I hope you read this - you need a lesson in humility your name on the glass door? You need to earn that! Treating loyal customers- health care providers of this town at that like trash is not acceptable your behavior & treatment of us? Unacceptable! You want to be a decent Manager? Act like one and be an example for the staff! There is nothing more disappointing than doing your research to find a place that you can eat as a celiac (so you need to eat gluten free) and the reviews are positive, calling ahead being told its safe, telling your server before we you order, being told it's safe, putting your order in, and then after all of that being told the food isn't safe for you While our server was really nice about it, it's upsetting, embarrassing, and frustrating to go through all that effort and then have to leave.
