Soo good! I was pleasantly surprised. When we walked in there was no one there. We ordered and got our food quickly. The cashier is also the server, she's a pretty girl and absolutely delightful. I ordered a turkey panini and lentil soup. OmG... the lentil soup, will be in my dreams for years to come. Seriously- I could live on that lentil soup happily for the rest of my life. Was very very impressed with Cafe Moderno was looking for a place that would impress for some authentic Mediterranean food and we arrived in the quaint shopping center and didn't really have much expectations we saw that it had reviews. I ordered their plate with chicken and rice and their fries with lemon and chilli they were served cold and were very good all of their meat was of the highest quality and the price point was pretty nice. It's very hidden and despite its simple decor in the restaurant their food is very fresh and melts in your mouth. It is my new go to place for Mediterranean food without a doubt. The cashier/ waiter isn't the most friendly but besides that the food by far surpasses the service and heck you aren't even their for the service. This place is a 5/5 without a second loook I will be back. Yum, Yum, Yum: It's a little expensive compared to other Greek restaurants but that's okay. I only order food here once in awhile since my work is about 5 mins away. I get their lamb and beef entrees. For sides, I've ordered the following: rice, fries, salad, vegetables Appetizers: I've ordered fried zucchini I love everything I ordered. I never sat at there restaurant. I was order my food to-go here. My only thing is don't order their Mediterranean fries. It's not the best when it's ordered to-go. Found this place on yelp one day when I was craving some Mediterranean food. In the shopping center past Petco in the corner ignore the Chipotle and the El Pollo Loco and keep going straight. Very clean and inviting atmosphere, the staff was genuine and pleasant. I ordered a 2 kabob chicken plate with rice and baba ghanoush the later added falafel because I smelled so good! I don't usually do Yelp reviews but I am such a fan of Greek and Mediterranean food, I felt a PSA was in order, a duty to other Greek food lovers, if you will. I ordered the Souvlaki with 2 sides - baba ganoush and Greek salad. My husband got chicken kabobs with basmati rice and hummus. Tzazki, pita, hummus, the grilled vegetables that came with the Souvlaki-- everything was delicious!! They gave chunky generous meat portions on the kabobs (not as much w/ Souvlaki but the pita and sides made up), and the food was served quickly. We came for lunch and they brought the food out within 5-10 min. Service was great too. The guy was very polite, helpful with our questions, and efficient. We'll be back! read more

Great greek food. Especially for the price. Came in at 11 am (when they open) on a weds and ordered a chicken soulvaki w/greek salad and grilled veggies as my sides. The salad perfect and not overdressed. Vegatables tasted very fresh with a nice crunch for being grilled. Also the pita bread was super hot and fluffy with a nice crispy bottom! I was craving Mediterranean food and found this place on yelp. The place looks very nice, clean, and well kept. The worker(his name was Gerardo) was very polite and attentive. I ordered 2 steak kabobs with Mediterranean fries(fries with paprika, parsley, and lemon juice) and basmati rice pilaf. The food came quickly and was nice and hot. I had never heard of Mediterranean fries before and was very pleased with the way they tasted. The steak was so juicy and had a great taste. The white sauce was so good!! I think it's a garlic sauce with some dill in it. As a side note, I watched the waiter quickly go to clear and clean tables as customers left. Just another testament to how clean the place was kept. Delicious fresh food! I tried the moderno Greek salad, grape leaves and combo kabob plate. The Greek salad was a decent size with great flavor. The grape leaves tasted a little plain and the rice inside was a little overcooked. The combo plate included a chicken and steak kabob with 2 sides of your choice (I chose the Mediterranean fries and hummus). The plate was delicious! I will be coming back for sure! read more

Used to LOVE this place, long time customer and always come with coworkers, but the new, young cashiers are dumb and rude! Plus they don't listen. The new young guy gets frustrated when you try to add something , (pay attention to what people tell you). The young girl gave us a salad with no lettuce when we specifically said no lettuce on the sandwhich. Even after having her repeat it, she messed it up. Stopped doing recent phone orders here because of her and when going in person she still messes it up and overcharged us. I don't know who's training them but they need to get it together. I usually love beef and lamb as well but I haven't tried them here because I'm so satisfied with the chicken and one kabob is so filling I haven't had the chance to order otherwise! I guess I'm lucky to find anywhere that serves Gyros to go during this Covid situation, but this kind of sucked. I originally was craving a gyro and happened to be an Arbys. What a mistake! For $5.50 I received a pita with a little bit of cooked sliced beef and a sour cream sauce. (I should have known better!) Desperate now for a real gyro, I found Cafe Meoderno on google, and ordered a gyro with the tzatziki sauce on the side. What I got was a pita with plenty of sliced meat (I assume it was lamb) pilled on top of two inches of grated lettuce a 3 ounce container of their sour cream sauce, and two packets of Tapatia sauce! (?) No sliced onion, no sliced cucumber, and no sliced onion! I was charged $6.75 for the sandwich, $1.00 for extra sauce (perhaps the Tapatia sauce?) and tax. A total of $8.26 for (yet) another tease of a gyro! Give me a freaking break! They definatly don't get my vote for surviving Covid! read more

At this time I was looking for a job & was going to ask for more info, but had soon changed my mind. So unfortunately the owner/ a manager was arguing at the register with his employee because she had made a mistake. I waited about 3 minutes for him to finish when he had clearly seen that I was awaiting service, he continued to ignore my presence & pursue his issues. I found this very rude & unprofessional. Although I like the food, it completely turned me off that this man was this bold to ignore his customers. First time we came here the food was just average and the portions we're not very large for the protein. additionally, I was told by the cashier that we were unable to add extra protein to our dishes which I found rather odd. There aren't too many Mediterranean places in the area so we ended up taking another visit here today and arrived at 8:35 p.m. they close at 9 according to Yelp. Even though we had 25 minutes they would not allow us to sit down and eat our food and told us that we had to order to go. We were looking for a place with good kabobs somewhere near us, we had gone to an authentic Mediterranean restaurant near us in upland a couple months ago but unfortunately the food was not fresh and the customer service was seriously lacking. We saw Cafe moderno tucked away in a large shopping center after we had eaten at chipotle and the next time I felt like having a light meal I decided to take a chance and order. I'm glad I did! I ordered takeout and my order was ready when I picked it up. When I got home I was so pleasantly surprised everything was delicious! The kabobs were cooked perfectly, the Mediterranean fries were so yummy! Just enough spice to make them stand out and the garlic pita bread was amazing! First time dining here. Went as a result of reading YELP* reviews. Initial impression. Very friendly staff, clean and modestly but nicely decorated restaurant with comfortable booths and very clean bathrooms. I will say that our order will not test the quality of the food or cook. My dining mate and I both had salads...one Greek and the other a Cobb along with a side of hummus and bread. All were very good. The salads were not drenched in dressing but watching calories I will order on the side next time. I will certainly return and put 'em to a little more of a test. read more
