I have been here 5-6 times already. Food is relatively good. I would have given 4 stars until today. My chicken kabob was not fully cooked when to go. One other issue in the past was that we usually order the same every time. 2 steak kabob plate, 2 chicken kabob, Theo salad full size with 2 chicken kabob added, and a Taziki. My husband always ordered the food while we wait at the table. On our last visit, I was also at the cashier with my husband. As he was ordering, I was in their board menu price list for 1/2/3 kabobs and the full salads are all basic without any meat and the kabobs are added depending on the number of kabob you add. That's when the cashier female person advised me that it's cheaper to order 3 kabobs on 2 plates, order a salad without any meat added, and get 1 kabob each from my family's 2 plates. That was very nice of that lady. No one in the past told us that! So don't add any meat to the salad if you are ordering kabob plates as well. Add additional kabob to the plate. It's cheaper that way. THE RESTAURANT WONT TELL YOU THAT when you can save money!!! read more

Cafe Moderno is not what I'd hoped. Sadly, while they're food is tasty, it's over-priced. The entrees don't even come w/ hummus! You get 2 side options - entrees are $10 and up. Most places serve hummus automatically. And the side portions aren't generous - 3 triangles of pita (where's my 4th piece to complete the pita bread?!). Aside from the hummus fiasco and portions, I ordered wine w/ my meal - they delivered it immediately, but the glass was filthy! Old food spots, lip prints - assuming the staff aren't visually impaired, how was this missed? It wasn't even busy! After addressing the glass filth, my wine wasn't replaced until my meal was served - and the glass stem still had food residue! If you're watching your waste line and like lightly portioned meals, or your wine dirty, this is your place. Otherwise, drive a few miles down the road to Mezzaterranean - that's where you'll find legit Mediterranean! read more

I discovered Cafe Moderno about a week ago and have eaten there 3 times since! My favorite is the chicken kabob with hummus and rocca salad, but I've also tried other things as well and EVERYTHING is delicious. The spaghetti aglio e' olio is amazing. It's clear that the food is made on the premises with terrific freshness and flavor. While we were eating there last night the owner, Aman came out of the kitchen and asked us how everything was. The staff and owner could not be any more friendly or helpful. As a bonus they also serve espresso and latte's which my husband really appreciated. There are several Mediterranean restaurants in my area, but this one cannot be beat for the quality, price and service. read more

We got there kind of late, so I was a little nervous we would be eating "end of the night stuff". WRONG!!! We were served the freshest, yummiest food I have had in a long time. The warm soft pita with the hummus was Delicious. The vegetables were grilled to perfection, and their sauces were superb. Fresh is the key word, and I am sad that I do not live anywhere near Cafe Moderno, but if I am ever traveling by that way, hungry or not I will stop in for more temptations. Starving, I stopped into this cafe as a fast food alternative. I couldn't have been happier. The menu choices were varied and all sounded tasty. I chose the chicken souvlaki, served with nice greek salad and fried potatos. All fresh flavorful and delicious. The single server was very friendly and eager to please. The meal was served quickly, and devoured. One complaint: I'm not really into televisions flashing on the wall during meals. I had the chicken wrap with fries and lentil soup! I came here with a craving for Mediterranean food, so I found it good. The chicken could have been more abundant, since I only got a little. And more seasoning would have been great. My family enjoyed the steak wrap and salad. Our server was Pamela, and though she was sweet and soft toned, she really messed up our order. We got wrong entree orders, and wrong side dishes to each order. We didn't get too upset because we were really hungry and would try anything. But it was a bother. I suggest she gets a pen and paper to write down orders next time, not to fully rely on her memory read more

Theo's cafe I heard is about to have a grand opening next month (I believe the new name is Cafe Moderno) This place is spectacular. "PERFECT" service (I mean it's an incredibly friendly staff that makes you feel very welcome). Next.... the food.... EXCELLENT!! I got the Turkey Panini with the pesto sauce and a side of fries. I was as close to heaven as it gets in the food world. A place that understands that fries should have a crisp outside while maintaining a softer inside. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The owner is a spectacular man of whom if you have the time get to know him because he is a pretty fascinating humble man. The waitress Vio has a smile that will settle any war and service that one deserves when entering the food industry. Definitely an A+ all around. However, the only thing I would do differently next time is order when I was a little close to the restaurant and ask for a side of the white sauce that comes on the wrap.
