If you want that perfect little French Bistro come here! They have the classics you would expect plus more and it was delicious! The beignets were very undercooked but I strongly suggest this was not a frequent occurrence because they were on almost every table in the restaurant. Definitely worth a try! read more

After viewing the pics on Yelp I wasn't sure what to expect... came in for Sunday brunch. Food and service was fantastic; although I've never had a crepe before and their version of a crepe is quite different (toppings not stuffed inside but on top of) but still very delish! Not the best picture but we had Chicken and Wild Mushroom crepe and French Onion soup. We stopped by here for brunch and the experience was great. They do reservations which is a plus so I was excited to try it. I could see parking being a bit difficult during peak hours but this time I had no trouble. There is also a parking deck close by. The decor of the places was great. It has a real "homey" feel to it. The staff was great and seemed very pleasant. I went with the Fruit De Mer omelette(salmon, crab, lobster) which was great. I'd definitely recommend it. They also serve you fruit and bread with this. Terrible experience getting takeout for dinner yesterday. My wife and I ordered through the ChowNow website. When my wife arrived to pick up the food, she found the restaurant was completely full of people. She was informed take out orders must be picked up from the bar. However, the bar was packed with people in every available seat. Furthermore most people were not wearing masks or appropriately social distancing. My wife felt very unsafe picking up the food. After standing next to the bar, she was ignored by the bartender for close to 10 minutes before she could get his attention to tell him we had a takeout order. Once she finally got his attention, he told her the order was not paid for yet. We absolutely had already paid for the food via the ChowNow website, and I had an email from my credit card company showing the charge literally within seconds of placing the . My wife then had to argue with the bartender who would not give her the food. Finally after a few phone calls and a screen shot of the email, he reluctantly gave her our food, saying "don't worry about it" like he was somehow doing us a favor. How infuriating!! In today's digital age, this is unacceptable. All the other businesses we order from on ChowNow are able to produce our take out seamlessly. Figure it out! ***REVIEW UPDATE 7/20/20*** The restaurant was kind enough to reach out to me today following our suboptimal experience over the weekend. The manager called me personally to address our concerns and apologize. He expressed that he and the staff were frustrated with many of the patrons who were not abiding by their COVID precautions that evening and that they are continuing to develop safe practices to conduct business during these difficult times. He stated that in the future, we may call when we arrive and have the food brought out to our car, which was reassuring to hear. He also addressed the payment issue with the bartender and assured me it wouldn't happen again. Overall, I have to admit I was quite impressed with his hospitality. I absolutely did not expect a personal phone call to discuss what occurred. Honestly, I think it speaks strongly about their dedication to running a good business. Every year I receive a birthday coupon from Cafe Monte but unfortunately I'm always out of town. This year I just so happen to be in town long enough to enjoy the coupon. However my experience today wasn't nearly as great as my friends have shared it would be. Walking up I noticed two tables that were very dirty. But I said to myself, maybe the people just left. I walked inside and was asked if I needed help, instead of, " hello table for how many?". I responded that I would like to have lunch. The person {who wasn't the host} grabbed a menu and proceed to escort me to the dining area, but I asked if I could sit outside instead. Menu The menu offered lunch, dinner and even breakfast items. I liked that for those that can eat breakfast anytime of the day, it's available and at a great price. I was undecided on what to order so I asked the server what he recommended. After sharing my thoughts on what I was thinking and hearing his suggestions I choose the Beef Rib Baguette with a side salad. Waiting in food to arrive So as I waited for my food to arrive I could not help but stare at the two tables that went untouched and I cleaned for 20 minutes now. What really bothered me was my server noticed the tables were this messy every time he approached me. He even went so far as to look at the time while standing at my table. He also came out to gather the sugar packets off both tables and still didn't bother to remove anything. It wasn't until after I finished eating another man came out to bust the tables. It took him all of 3 minutes to clear the tables. Now why wasn't this done thirty minutes ago, I'm unsure. But for this to sit outside, in front of the restaurant attracting bugs is nasty. Server I was not impressed with my server at all. He did not refill my water once my food arrived, nor did ask if I need anything additional once my food came out. After I finished my meal I had to wait another 20 minutes as no one came to check and see how I was doing. Still not drink refill at all and it was 85° outside. I had to get up, walk inside and ask the host if she could have my server come out to assist me. He then comes out and says, oh you've finished do you need anything. I was not happy and said yes my check thank you. The service here was NOT what I expected at all. Especially not for the South Park Area. read more

French stuff intimidates me--Chanel, Bastille Day, their food, wine, accents and the list goes on. But once again I was introduced to a new place thanks to my bff, Groupon. I went here the other day for breakfast and it was decent. I split the eggs benedict (quite tasty) with another Yelper while sipping on coffee....when we could get refills that is . Even though there were only three other times in the place (so want to say joint but thought I would class it up a bit), our waiter seemed to be MIA most of the time. You know what would make this place better? A little person who goes by the name of Monte walking around to each table in a striped shirt, beret and thick mustache while reading french poetry. Do yourself a favor and get the quiche florentine. It is absolutely delicious. The food here is great but there have been a handful of times here where the service is a bit lacking. Stepping in here felt like I had been transported across the Atlantic. I came with a group for a Sunday morning brunch to celebrate the end of a friends birthday weekend. Dining indoors was open although several safety measures were in place including mandatory masks while not at your table, reduced capacity, and large menus next to the table designed not to be touched by customers. Despite this the service was attentive and friendly which made it easy to forget how different things are these days. We started with some mimosas and a round of beignets before settling into breakfast. I decided on the French country breakfast since I had a craving for bacon. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we ended with a slice of cheesecake for the birthday boy. The food and service were both great and the decor is breathtaking. I found this from a living social. And since then, I have been in love with this place! I will never get tired of their Charcuterie - various cured meat and pickled vegetables! It's just simply delicious and I feel like I'm in Europe. I am a big fan of their moules frites and shrimp & artichoke crepes are very yummy and big. Tried this place for Sunday brunch. I would recommend making reservations way in advance. When we got there they said it would be about 45 minutes but it was less than that. Probably because there were just two of us. I had the crab Benedict, which was one of the best I've had! The crabcake's are perfectly spiced and the hollandaise sauce was delicious! Hubby had the chicken and mushroom crepe that was sublime! Loved the white sauce and the chicken was actually moist and tender not the dry, grilled chicken you'd expect! Was perfectly spiced!! I had been looking forward to having their chocolate croissants but after ordering them the server came back and said they didn't have them :( so we had the beignets instead. They were delicious! The salad was really light and refreshing. The croissant was buttery and flakey. And I was happy with the generous portion of smoked salmon. Mimosas weren't on the menu for some reason but they have them! I would come back but only for a special occasion. Nice restaurant, they were pretty busy when we came but seated us quickly and service was fast and attentive. Our waiter was extremely nice and consistently checked in on us and made sure we were good. I had crepes, didn't care for them, they were doughy, but the bacon and cappuccino were delicious. They give a good portion and it is thick-cut and crispy. My sister had the duck confit and waffles, which were bomb. Perfect Belgian waffle and the duck was tender and delicious. Went here with my family for brunch. My quiche was burnt and so greasy and mushy that I could not eat it. The beignets were also grease balls. They were so runny they dripped. Even the kids wouldn't eat them. Nutella crepes were so tough (like jerky) that you could not cut them with a knife! The Jazz music was not my favorite, it was not detracting. Ask the server to take a pistachio, French Macaron off the bill, as the Manager told me it tends to be harder than the others after I brought it to her attention. This is my second time for brunch. When I first came to this place, the waiting was around 40 minutes as I came without reservation on Saturday. This is a pretty popular place for brunch. This time, I came on Friday after lunch time and there was no problem to get the table. I ordered lobster and crab crepes last time and I liked the creamy sauce on it but it was a bit salty for me. The portion is good though. This time I ordered croque madam and it was great. I really liked the pommes fries it came with, thin and crispy. The food is good here and I like the atmosphere. I had not been to this cafe before it was easy to get to and find with available parking. I met a friend for a business meeting and was given the table of my choice which was in the front area as the main dinning room was large but noisy. The server came by fast for me and I ordered tea they had an OK selection, but for a French Cafe I would have loved to have seen them offer Harvey & Sons fabulous PARIS tea (along with their other fabulous flavors) and was disappointed to not see it available. It makes sense to me to have this for your customers. Once my friend arrived it was hard to get a servers attention and she had to finally ask the host to send over our server just so she could get a cup a coffee. Once the server came he was friendly, but never did come back to ask her if she wanted a refill for her coffee and me fresh hot water for my tea. I had a craving of almost everything on the menu it all looked so good, fresh and tasty. I ended up ordering the French Onion Soup which was really good, hot and tasty. My friend ordered an omelette that looked great with a healthy portion and steaming hot. It was the Parisian Omelette filled with ham, bacon, onion, cheddar and Brie which look awesome. I wished I had ordered that. When I come back which I will I will be tasting many other items. I did take some goodies home to try and hope that they do have the same quality that the food we ate had. I ordered croissant, macaroons and assorted grab n go goodies. I do feel this is a great and inviting local cafe and will be back and I would recommend this spot for lunch, dinner and meetings. It was easy and enjoyable. They offer delivery options online and Brunch, Lunch, Dinner. Thank you Cafe Monte! But get some PARIS TEA! Came for brunch with a group of 6, and the service was great - fast, responsive, and great food. The beignets were wonderful but unfortunately come as only orders of 3 ($6) or 5 ($8) so we had to pay $12 for 6 which doesn't make sense when 5 are only $8. I got the vegetarian open face sandwich with salad and it was delicious! Plus we also had the Brie with apples and almonds on top and it was a wonderful starter.
