Stopped in and tried out the food. The food was ok and the place looked like a nice art gallery. Large old building with interesting history.

Cafe Motif is such an amazing addition to the area! It's a whole vibe! The food is amazing! I haven't had anything that hasn't been superior and not the same thing you can get just anywhere... the tamale eggs Benedict is seriously crazy good! But in addition to good food, there is the SWEETEST gift area with all local artisan goods as well as a place to read or have your kiddos do a little project. I just can't say enough....

Gluten free waffle Bacon , egg and latte

This waffle is gluten free and tastes amazing. Most of the menue is gluten free and now my mom (who can't eat gluten ) has somewhere she can go without having to struggle to find something she can eat. 10/10 Coffee was great too.

I would like to start off with service, this applies to all of the staff but I many to give a shoutout to eddy, he was polite and patient throughout our entire visit and was nice in just about every way. Secondly the food, it was phenomenal for a restaurant, the portions were large and was absolutely delicious, they did what most restaurants around here don't even think of doing, for example drizzling olive oil of the salad so you aren't eating a plate of dry lettuce, and so many other small things that really make the meal come together. Lastly the atmosphere, the tables and chairs are clean, the design is awesome with plants scattered around making the place feel lush and alive while maintaining it's peacefulness, I would highly recommend to try this place before going to other restaurants in Gilroy.

Beautiful space with an extensive coffee/tea collection. Had a tea latte and it was brewed well. Staff were nice and have a calm energy. Wasn't able to enjoy the food because the kitchen doesnt open until 9 on the dot so they only have pastries available at that time. Lots of seating inside with fun community activities such as sketchbooks. Enjoyed the shop and seeing the art.

Loved the coffee, but that's where it ended. We ordered croissants with eggs and bacon...the eggs were prepared as an omelette and were way over cooked, the bacon was not crispy and the cheese non existent. I didn't think they could mess up a simple order, but they managed to do that. For such a cute place, the cafe should be at par. We also tried the cinnamon rolls which were dried and the quiche was undercooked and not warm enough. Very disappointing experience. If I come back, I will only be ordering coffee. The croissant is advertised with fluffy eggs, the eggs are not fluffy at all, they need to change the description on the menu if that's the not way they serve it.

Absolutely love this little gem of a restaurant! Filipino food is lacking in the Central Valley and driving to the Bay Area is often just too much of a hassle. I was so excited to find this spot less than an hour away from home! The interior is really cute and still has the feel of the previous restaurant inside, I like that they kept some things the same like the bar and the ceiling tiles. They have plenty of seating including high top tables, regular tables, comfy chairs and couches and bar seating as well. I have been craving a good Filipino breakfast for a while and got the corned beef silog while fiancee got the tapsilog. It was really good, I will definitely be coming here again and trying other items, sisig has been calling my name for a while so that will likely be next. I made the wrong choice for coffee, it didn't go with my breakfast, but I will know better for next time. I got the matcha something or other latte and fiancee got an Americano, I should have gotten an Americano as well. Don't get me wrong, it was good and earthy, just didn't go with my breakfast choice. The girl that took the order and made our coffees was very sweet, the only other staff were back in the kitchen. There weren't many other customers when we came and for the most part we had the restaurant to ourselves. Hopefully we just came at a slow time, and they get plenty of customers.

So disappointed that restaurant was unable to fulfill an order for delivery that I had preordered days in advance looking forward to surprising my friend on her birthday. I received a message minutes before expected delivery!! Update: Jason, the chef came through! It so happened that there was a little mixup. He offered to deliver my order himself. My friend was delighted and loved it! Masarap Thank you for the great customer excellent service!!!

What a cute hidden gem for Filipino dishes! My fiancé and I were searching for a good brunch spot and stumbled upon Cafe Motif on Yelp. To our delight, they offer silogs, which is a traditional Filipino breakfast that typically features garlic rice, egg, and a choice of meat. The food was delicious, especially the bangus, which was fried to perfection. The vinegar was well balanced with a touch of sweetness and added a great touch, though the garlic rice could be a littttle more flavorful but it was still enjoyable. We loved it so much that we returned the next day to try their sinigang LOL, and I must say, it's the best pork rib sinigang I've had thus far! The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly tangy. Highly recommend for anyone wanting Filipino food in Gilroy, and if not Filipino food, they serve other American and Mexican dishes as well!

Gave it a 4/5 because I'd rather have mediocre coffee that gets the job done than watch a fleet of baristas who couldn't bother to spread some morning levity via a smile. Especially the very serious natured cashier on a Sunday morning. The mood was palpable behind the coffee bar. I'm not a never say never, because despite the muted service, giving off vibes, the Carmel bourbon latte w oat milk was on the grail scale of coffees. Mr. E said his cold brew tasted like water. The mocha was good. Their dulce de leche is one I'd like to try if we ever go back... but that may be a minute. Do or don't- it may have been a fluke morning. Do recommend the Carmel bourbon latte.

What this place does have is CHARACTER and a laid back vibe I don't seem to find in chain coffee shops. The service is top notch, the prices reasonable, and the coffee is excellent. You're always asked if you have any questions before you order which is super nice if you aren't sure what you're going to order. I tried the cardamom fig cappuccino (winter special), hot mocha and ice almond milk latte. The cappuccino was so delicious, though I didn't taste the fig as much as the cardamom it was still a super well balanced cappuccino. The mocha wasn't to sweet, which I enjoy because the espresso still comes through and you can taste the rich chocolate. Lastly, the almond milk latte was really smooth, you can tell they use great quality almond milk. Food wise I got the buttered croissant and two different cookies from Bake That Dough (which they sell inside to the left of the register when you walk in). The buttered croissant was incredibly flaky and buttery. It paired so well with my cappuccino and I look forward to my next. The cookies were so cute and perfectly paired with the coffee drinks as well. Overall great experience, I am excited to try their other baked goodies and fun beverages.

There was only one person ahead of us and a couple of people waiting, so it initially seemed like perfect timing. The space itself is clean and welcoming, and the staff were friendly. We've been here before and had a decent experience, which is why we chose to return. Unfortunately, the biggest issue this time was efficiency. Despite having 4 staff members working, the wait time kept growing instead of shrinking. What started as a couple of people waiting turned into several, and at one point someone even gave up and asked for a simple drip coffee just to leave faster. It ultimately took about 30 minutes to receive a single drink. While waiting, it became clear that workflow and prioritization were lacking. At one point, staff paused drink preparation to rearrange and move equipment, even as more customers, including a soccer team, arrived. It created a frustrating experience, especially for those just looking for a quick coffee. It's disappointing because we chose to stop here instead of going to Starbucks, hoping to support a local spot we'd enjoyed before. While the quality and atmosphere are there, the lack of efficiency makes it difficult to justify returning.

Looks like they bake their cookies fresh on site, but I'm not sure who makes their ice cream. When we walked in a gentleman told us they had cinnamon rolls as well. So basically you can order cookies or ice cream or combine the 2 into an ice cream sandwich. So I decided on 1 Red Velvet cookie and one Chocolate Chip cookie with Cookies and Cream ice cream since they were out of Cookie Dough, (the absolute best ice cream flavor in the world). I believe the cookies run about $4 each and if you get an ice cream sandwich, that runs about $8. The cookies are a decent size and the scoop of ice cream I received was generous. So much so that it makes trying to take a bite of the sandwich practically impossible. You pretty much have to come at it from the side or just bite one side of the sandwich at a time. But the cookies were soft, sweet and tasty and the ice cream was pretty good too. The quality was good but I did think the pricing was a little high though.
