I was there for breakfast with friends on a weekday morning. Ample parking and plenty of free tables. The location is in an upscale stripmall at the corner of Scholls Ferry and Murray, in Beaverton. Nice view of a man-made lake, in a setting that struck me as a little sterile and over-groomed. Some people like that scene, some don't. Service was pretty good, but could have been more attentive. For instance, the waiter listened carefully to one member of the party who couldn't eat dairy, and made some suggestions about alternative choices and adjusting dishes to suit her needs. Great! But, we had to go track him down on separate occasions for jelly and the bill, and we could have used coffee refills once or twice more. The food was quite good. We had pancakes and belgian waffles and a veggie omelet, and everyone was quite happy with the choices. I'd go there again, if I was in the area. read more

Arrived at 8:45AM with a party of 4 adults and 2 small (under 2) kids. It didn't seem very busy although they did have 1 large party of about 9 people. Other then that, pretty empty inside with most people sitting outside. We knew that requesting a table outside we would have to wait a little longer. Well 45 minutes later we are still waiting. This is unacceptable, especially if you have small kids waiting. How about bringing out some crackers or bread for the little ones. According to them they were waiting for 3 tables next to each other to be open. Really? Cause you can't move tables? Also, why in the world would we need 3 tables? (we ended up only using two with room for more people). I asked for coffee while we were waiting to get a seat. Didn't get it. Once we got seated they promptly brought us water which was nice. I asked for a straw, didn't get it. I had to ask 3 more times!!!!! This wasn't even all the same person either. How hard is it to carry a straw in your apron????? I'm very disappointed in the service. I live very close and this would be my top choice to eat. The food is great. I don't have one bad thing to say about the food but there is no way I'm wasting my time and money here. I will go somewhere that the customers are appreciated. WOW this place is amazing. I took my wife out to celebrate our sons new job and him moving out. I had steelhead over quinoa and a pesto type sauce called chichicurra I think. Anyway this was the best cooked fish I have ever had. My wife had one of the best filet's she has ever had. My son had the pork chop. For dessert we had the creme brûlée and a fruit crisp. read more

A Real Gem! I had seen this place everyday for a couple of years & never thought anything of it. I've seen positive reviews but never made it over. I have family in town so I figured it was a chance to check it out... SO GOOD! The prices are higher than the usual chains but for what they give you, it is well worth it! I ordered the french dip..simple, right? They give you an actual steak rather than sliced beef..so tender & soooo yummy. The dungeoness crab sandwich made my cousin's day. It was totally gorgeous! My daughter ordered the 3 meat breakfast skillet with a fluffy homestyle biscuit & gravy. .she couldn't finish it, it was so generous. We sat outdoors, on a 77 degree day the spots in the shade were perfect. Beautiful view. My mom ordered the burger, I got the club sandwich, and my son got chicken strips. Everyone loved their food. My mom and I also got mimosas, she got traditional and I got pineapple. Both REALLY good. The waiters were also all very nice and quick to bring anything we asked for. Have been here several times, and I keep going back thinking that my experience was a bit of a fluke, and that I must have caught them on a bad day. The service is consistently slow and inattentive. As an example, I would ask the waiter for water, and he would disappear, to reappear a half an hour later and he forgot the request. This sort of thing happened several times during our latest visit. It took almost an hour for our food to be served once we had put in our order. The food was good, prices are a bit spendy, but typical for the Murrayhill location. It is a lovely location and nice patio seating. It is just frustrating to have to hound the waiter to get butter for the French toast, etc. and to have to ask multiple times. read more

We've been here for brunch before and it was OK, but tonight's dinner was quite a disappointment. True, they were crowded, but besides the slow service (20 minutes to get our drinks, with the ice mostly melted by then), the food was bland and just too heavy. I had sirloin tips. The "gourmet mushroom" sauce was a plain roux with almost no flavor except for a few slices of criminis. Asparagus wasn't trimmed well and unevenly roasted. Destination breakfast location for me and the family, usually after church. Small limited menu, but everything seems to be relatively fresh and visually appetizing. i end up always getting the biscuits and gravy or chicken fried steak, and they have never disappointed. Moderate prices with helpful wait staff. Again, if I'm planning on having a great breakfast, i'll make the trip downtown to Meriwethers, Mother's or Besaws, but as I'm local, this will work handily as a solid, yet sterile/non inspiring, location for breakfast. read more

Stopped in for a late dinner and was disappointed by the food and service. We got here at 8:30 and they close at 9. By the time we finished at a few minutes before nine the server was in such a hurry to get us out that he didn't ask my wife if she wanted dessert he just rushed off. Then it took over ten minutes for him to bring the carrot cake. I had the mac & cheese or should I say the cheese soup with elbow macaroni. Can't recommend it. The sauce was thin with a very mild cheese flavor and there was no browning of the dish before it was served. To me mac & cheese needs a few minutes under the broiler to finish it. On the other hand we had a Saturday breakfast here a couple of weeks ago and the food and service were top notch. Guess well have to give it one more try for dinner and see if the poor service was an anomaly or if they save the good service for regulars. read more

Great place! We enjoyed the beer fried mushrooms and added all the fixings to the mac and cheese and split it. They don't go light on portions so splitting the entrees was great. I've only been here twice, and it was their sausage hash that brought me back. It is SO good. I don't think I have been to a place that does their breakfast hash with SWEET POTATOES - which are my favorite. Everything is cooked perfectly and the canjun hollandaise sauce is super yummy. I really wanted to love this spot. It's near the water, there's outdoor seating with adorable lighting, and in walking distance from home. Unfortunately, the look and location of the place wasn't enough. The food - UGH! Kind of three and a half stars. After three times, I can say I do like this place. However, two visits were for breakfast which I LOVED, and the third was dinner, which was quite lacking to me. Breakfast was amazing. The pancakes are utterly phenomenal, as is the french toast. Sandwiches are spendy, the benedict was great and I HATE hollindaise sauce. For the prices of dinner, I expected either large portions or unbelievably delicious food. When our three entrees came out, none of our meals were really either. I was impressed with the size of the burger (typical $6 burger size) but honestly, it didn't wow me like a $12 burger should have. It was a $6 burger with some fries but I was paying $12. Not really worth it. My family member got a slab of meat and he said though their sauce was unique, it was far too small and not as tasty as a real steakhouse for the price. Husband ordered a pasta and found it amazing, but the portion small. So our dinner experience: Too expensive for the portion and taste. Won't be returning for dinner. Service has been pretty good so far. Only one time was it quite a long wait (the dinner, even! But they weren't very busy) for refills and the check. The place itself is very pretty, with a modern elegant setup. The view of the pond is adorable and the outside seating looks enticing. But I will not be coming here again for dinner, and will keep this a breakfast only place. read more

We came in at 4pm and noticed that no other customers were at the restaurant. The host brought us the menu and mentioned that our server would be over soon to take our order. Soon turned into about 10 minutes. We had laid our menus aside within minutes of sitting down, we knew what we wanted to order. There was no doubt that we were ready for the server to take our order. A simple affogato, coffee and cake was what we wanted. Considering that this should have been ready to be served...we waited another 10 minutes for the coffee... no cake or affogato in sight. Our server then started to sweep the restaurant. I am sure a better time for this would have been when there were no customers present...such as just before 4pm. I mentioned to my friend that my coffee would be cold before the cake even makes it to our table. The server quickly came and said he would have somebody refill my cup. The cake and affogato arrived, but no coffee. The server now was sweeping directly next to our table. Surely, common sense would tell anybody not to clean right next to customers who are trying to enjoy their food. I had to wait several more minutes for my coffee. By the time the coffee mug was refilled, I was pretty much done with my cake. The affogato was served in a large soup plate. Never have I been served affogato on a plate. It should come in a dessert dish or a wide glass. The coffee was strong, bitter, and a mile from being hot. It tasted as if it had been sitting in the carafe for too long. There will not be another visit to this place. read more

While the food is good (bacon waffle was delicious) and the wait for a Sunday brunch was decent, it did not seem busy enough for our service to be as slow as it was. Our server was pretty much nowhere to be found, so refills on coffee and water weren't even offered until we were pretty much ready to leave. My co-worker said this is their "go-to" place for dinner and we should give it a try. The specials (salmon and steak) were lovely. But it was the creme brûlée that put this place over the top for me.
