The food was absolutely amazing. Best penne vodka I've ever had. The oysters were fantastic and the biggest oysters I've ever seen. The service was friendly and quick. The ambiance was stunning with the low light and atmosphere. Good spot for a girls night or birthday dinner.

Calamari, cheese plate, and crème brûlée were very good Main pasta dish was kind of disappointing and I would not get again. Not very flavorful and overly buttery. Was very excited but the flavors didn't really stick out Service was ok. Not super attentive but nice.

We have been going to Cafe Napoli for well over 10 years and have celebrated every anniversary here (with the exception of the year of Covid). We went back again just a few days ago and as usual, blown away. Everything from the ambiance, to the food, to the valet service and all the things in between, they do with perfection. The staff is incredibly attentive and their food is truly top notch. 10/10. No notes.

Decided to give Cafe Napoli a try in a Saturday. I made a reservation beforehand and we were seated immediately upon arrival. We were seated in a small corner half-circle booth. It is very dark inside so it was a little difficult to read the menu. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. He gave us a rundown of all the specials that night and was able to answer all our questions. We started with a Limoncello Spritz, Pitiful Pilsner, the 3 cheese arancini, and a shrimp cocktail. The arancini was delicious and the shrimp were huge! For mains I ordered the Farfalle Genovese and my partner ordered the 8oz filet. The pasta portion was huge and I had my leftovers for dinner again the following night. To finish we ordered tiramisu, the bread pudding and a cappuccino. The bread pudding was super rich and chocolatey. The tiramisu was light and delicious. There were plenty of options for me as a vegetarian. We had a great experience. It is a little pricey but the food and the vibe are right!

While visiting St Louis, and on the recommendation of my UBER driver... I gave Cafe Napoli a try for dinner. Beautiful, upscale, Italian restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating. I was alone and sat at the bar for dinner. If not I may have needed a reservation. The menu looked great, a bit pricy but super value for the money. I got the Lobster Caprese starter which was delicious. The ravioli that followed was equally yummy. I'll stop in again to try more of the menu. The experience exceeded the hype!

We dined in the bar building- comfy side room accommodated 16 of us after business meetings. We had a limited menu but it was perfect. My co-worker is GF- they easily accommodated her with GF pasta (she said it was excellent) and crème brule for dessert. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was a large serving. Cheesecake was delicious. Lemoncello spritz was a tasty cocktail. Servers were efficient and the food service was well-timed. They did a great job with our group.

Overall, I had a great experience at Cafe Napoli. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively, and the service was friendly and attentive. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the bathrooms weren't as clean as I would have expected. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable dining experience, and I would definitely come back.

Took the family to dinner for our son-in-laws birthday and had a great time! The food....WOW! So good! We started with arancini for the table, followed by salads; Caesar, wedge, eggplant, then the main course; lamb chops, truffle ravioli, ribeye (one Oscar and one plain) and a pasta with meat sauce and it was all outstanding!! Birthday dessert turned into more dessert for the table including some incredibly yummy vanilla ice cream. We had a great server who took very good care of us. Looking forward to a return visit!!

Water was just wet enough. Allyssa makes the bestest espresso martini. The glass wasn't even broken. Allyssa was the best server ever and I think she should get a raise. We just love her so much. Go back to the old chips.

Cafe Napoli's patio was perfect for a nice fall dinner. The service is above & beyond, and the food is always good. Tried: we split everything - an espresso martini, calamari fritti, arancini, and pomodoro bolognese. Loved: the service, the arancini, the espresso martini Recommend: splitting everything - we had two apps and an entree to split and we still took most of our pasta home

Han is the BEST bartender in town! The food is also amazing. The steak is great but just be sure to ask for light salt. It can sometimes come out a little too salty. Try and get a table on the patio in the spring/summer for some great vibes and cool views.

The hostess asked if the patio would be ok and we were delighted to say yes. My wife is using a walker due to upcoming hip replacement surgery and the hostess suggested we use the outside patio gate instead of trying to pass through the restaurant. We sat in the patio and water and fresh hot 2 kinds of bread were placed on the table. Our server, Connor, is so knowledgeable and pleasant. He was patient with us and his wine suggestion was spot on. Great sense of humor and he worked all the patio tables. The food choices were amazing and exceeded expectations. Pricing was comparable with what we expected. The lobster bisque was thick, hot and very filling. There was ample pieces of lobster as well. My wife shared that her pasta was not hard or dry or rubbery but tasted freshly made. Connor shared that the prep starts every morning with homemade pasta. The traditional toasted ravioli were just that, toasted and tasty and the CG shrimp seemed so much more than an appetizer. Meals could be had with just those. I was very satisfied it ordered lasagna anyway. I just had them pack it to go as I was comfortably full. I know there are a lot of choices on the Hill but I assure you this one stands out. The Best Dining Experience We've Had in St. Louis - Hands Down…read moreMy husband and I wanted to give our dear friends who are leaving St. Louis one last unforgettable meal from their bucket list, so I immediately recommended Peno. I used to be a regular at Rosé with the same talented Chef Pepe, and his food is truly to die for. We walked in on a beautiful day and were lucky to snag a spot in their small parking lot (parking in the area isn't the easiest, but it's worth it). Our server, Harry, made the evening even better right from the start. He had such a warm, calm, professional presence--the kind that's rare these days. We instantly remembered his name thanks to a fun Harry Potter / Harry and the Hendersons reference, and he handled everything with effortless skill. When our friends had parking trouble, Harry quickly offered helpful suggestions. Then, when it was time to order, he elevated our meal in the best way possible. My husband and I got our longtime favorite--the Roberto pizza from Rosé days--and Harry suggested adding sausage and peppers. That small tweak took something we already loved and made it 1000% better. Absolute perfection. Our friend ordered the spaghetti (her all-time favorite comfort meal), and after taking Harry's thoughtful recommendation, she declared it the best spaghetti she's ever had in her life. We finished with the cheesecake. I'm extremely picky about cheesecake, but this one did not disappoint--it was creamy, rich, and flawless. This was one of those legendary meals you remember forever. The kind where you leave thinking you could die happy. Chef Pepe's food, paired with Harry's outstanding service, made it a perfect night. If you're in St. Louis, do yourself a favor and go to Peno. You won't regret it. Thank you, Harry and team--you helped create a truly special send-off for our friends!

They also gave us a list of their favorite menu items. That was the sign that it was time for us to go! We were lucky and found a great parking spot. It was a nice night and a lot of people were in the area. We were greeted warmly by a few people at the hostess stand. Our table was almost ready - literally maybe a two minute wait - and then we were seated. It's not a huge space, but they make the most of it. The place was full! Our server was Josh and he was great! There were a number of people that came to our table throughout our two hours there. Drink delivery, food delivery, Amanda (one of our very favorite servers we met at another restaurant), water pourer, table cleaner, etc - lots of staff taking care of everyone. We dropped utensils a few times and someone on staff was there replacing it before we even picked it up off the floor. We're not THAT clumsy - the tables for two aren't large and it was easy to hit a utensil unknowingly! It's a little loud in there due to the size of the space and the number of people they can seat. It wasn't annoyingly loud, but louder than some places. We ordered our cocktails and then started trying to decide what to order. Josh went over the menu with us, told us about some of the items in more detail, and told us about the specials. He was super knowledgeable about the entire menu. He also had a fun personality. Focaccia and olive oil were brought to our table. It was literally the only thing I didn't like there. I love focaccia, but it was served almost cold. I prefer it warm. And this wasn't room temp - it was very cool. We started with Prosciutto di Parma. Because peaches are in season, it came with fresh sliced peaches and it was delicious! Without the peaches, I think the prosciutto would have been too salty for me, but I'm salt sensitive. I had the Roman Gnocco and it was very good! I brought half of it home. My husband got the Sweet Corn Ravioli. It was a special and it was delicious. It was the perfect summer entree! We had an ice cream sandwich for dessert and wow! It's absolutely not like one you've had before. I was already full, but I made some room! In addition to the food and cocktails being so good, the staff were fabulous! They didn't miss a trick. Someone always noticed everything! And the food they took from me to box up was kept somewhere else until we were ready to go. It was brought with the bill. It was labeled with our table number and what the contents were. Was it a big deal? No. Was it very thoughtful? Yes. We didn't have a box sitting there while we enjoyed dessert and finished our cocktails. My only regret is that we had not been there before. The food and service are both top notch. We will most definitely be back!
