Didn't realize how known this place was for studying! I came in the afternoon and practically studied all day so I'm grateful food and drinks were sold here. I got the DBK with Seasalt Iced Coffee. I would probably opt for the Rose DBK next time due to how creamy it is because the regular DBK needed a little more something. There was an option to add more things in which I would take into account next time. As for the flavor, it was spicy and perfectly seasoned. If you can't handle spice, I would suggest ordering a different dish to better accomodate your taste buds. The coffee on the other hand was pretty bitter and not sweet by any means. I had to add in packets of sugar and creamer to get it to the right flavor that I wanted. There were other drinks to choose from that might work better for my taste buds! The study area is spacious and connected with the main restaurant. Wifi was great, but they did have the same playlist rotating since afternoon until closing haha The chairs were a bit uncomfortable after sitting for a long time, but if you're just here for a meal, it won't be a problem. I came here with a friend on Friday evening around 5:30 and I ordered the bulgogi kimbap with the peach yogurt smoothie. The staff was really nice and let us look at the menu and was really patient with us as it was our first time. The kimbap was huge and around $11, the drink was $6. Overall I loved the ambiance and there was tons of seating inside. It reminded me of Disneyland with the level of decoration. Tons of seating for studying as well. My stars are less for the drinks and more for the space! Cafe Orange is a hidden gem, for sure! Upon walking in, there is a cafe serving area, but another doorway to a large, book-filled ambient space for studying or meeting. There are plenty of tables, WiFi, and a bathroom for all your needs! It is also a decent volume inside, with chill music (we had studio ghibli piano). My coworkers and I were able to conduct our meeting here. I've been looking for a cafe to do work at that doesn't just sell pastries and coffee and I was so glad to stumble upon Cafe Orange. They had a pretty solid assortment of actual food like noodles, bowls, and kimbap along a good amount of drink options. Bulgogi kimbob - unfortunately was super dry. Original ramen - really hit the spot and satisfied the cravings! Caramel macchiato - very good, not too sweet Spring spade - very refreshing You have to order first before you settle at a table. They'll give you a food buzzer that rings when your food is ready. You head back to the counter to get your food and drink. When you're done, you bring it back to the counter for them. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a lot bigger inside with two rooms to sit. I saw a few people working, studying, and groups socializing. The decor in the other room is very cute. I came to try the Croffle. It was explained to us as a croissant that's sprinkled with sugar then grilled in a waffle maker. The sugar gives the croffle the glazed exterior. We ordered the Nutella croffle and each order comes with 2. It was SOOO good! It was warm, the croissant was crispy on the outside from the sugar coating, with a slight softness to the inside. Bf described it tasting like a Costco croissant -- Costco has delicious croissants, lol. It was topped with white whipped cream, slices of strawberries, bananas and drizzled with Nutella. So refreshing and light! It was such a delicious treat to have after our lunch. They also have Korean menu items. I was bummed i didn't get to try it, as we already had lunch. We got the ice coffee to keep us caffeinated and MAN, these really did the job. The drinks were strong but sweet and tasty. Josh was super helpful. I came across this place while trying to find a place to work. This spot has two separate rooms - both with really good vibes for studying/working. WiFi is pretty good, good amount of outlets, and spacious layout. We got the kale smoothie and the strawberry yogurt smoothie, both very refreshing! We also got the kimchi pancakes - some of the thickest, crunchiest pancakes I have ever had. The taste itself was pretty standard, but was surprised with the look of it. I came here with a friend to get some studying done. This place was recommended to me by another one of my friends, and I'm so glad we gave it a shot. We got there pretty early (~11AM) and there weren't too many people inside. We ordered our drinks at the counter and went into to other room to set up our stuff and wait for drinks. Because we were early, there were plenty of tables and seats available. We chose one next to the outlets, which was nice. They were really quick with making our drinks! I liked mine a lot and my friend also liked hers too. I did make a sweetness adjustment to my drink but I still felt like it was quite sweet. All good--next time I will just ask for less. The decorations were cute but the food was nothing to rave about. We got the bulgogi kimbap and the original spicy rice cakes. The kimbap was okay but it was very dry. We dipped it in the DBK sauce. The DBK was disappointing--no flavor and the consistency was too watery for my liking. No issues with the service but the store was so stuffy... there were tons of people studying and coming in and out yet there was no air circulation. Since there are so many spots in OC, I'll have to skip this place in the future. They also have a strict rule of no outside food/drinks. read more

First, when I was asking the cashier for recommendations and suggestions he didn't seem to know anything abt the menu?? He seemed lost. So I took it upon myself and ordered the combo. Location/parking: this place is located in a small plaza with limited parking spaces. Ambience: 8/10 Well It is photogenic, if you are into taking photos. It is also the perfect place to study (they have ramen too and they open late!) When I first came in I was a little overwhelmed by the decorations, the inside does not look like the photos as much. A PERFECT study spot! I just wish it was closer to me and I would come here every day. It's quite rare that you find a place that has amazing food, coffee, and decor for the ultimate studying vibes. I got the sea salt coffee which was strong, very caffeinated and had a beautiful layer of foam on the top. It exceeded my expectations ~ When I got the munchies while studying, I ordered the Washington Roll which was 5/5 - the salmon was super fresh and it fulfilled my sushi cravings. There is a lot of korean/fusion food on their menu, so I'm excited to try something new next time. As for parking, there is plenty in the lot right in front of the cafe, and I've never had an issue finding parking here. It does get a little louder on weekends, but weekdays it's usually quiet and I can be productive :) The wifi is solid and there are plenty of outlets along the walls as well. If you've ever wanted to study abroad in Korea you can come here and claim that you did. It's ~almost~ the same thing. I've been cafe-hopping a lot recently and this is officially my favorite one of all time. This Korean cafe has EVERYTHING you can imagine and hope for: good Korean snacks, drinks, desserts, endless amounts of food, spacious seating, and parking. I ordered the veggie kimbap and they presented it beautifully on a wooden stand. I honestly expected my food to be given in a to-go box but was pleasantly surprised by the presentation! They give you a buzzer when you order and serve it on a tray when you pick it up at the counter. They also have a huge wall just dedicated to the drinks menu so that's something to tackle when I come back and visit. As for the interior, there is a section as soon you enter where it's a typical seating area with not many decorations. The next room, however, is a whole new world. It's as if you entered Korea and you're studying in the street. The walls have mini storefronts with string lights hanging across the room almost as if it's a patio too. I also love that there's a book corner since it makes the space home-y. There's a lot of seating with most of them having access to outlets, a necessity for me since my laptop dies in like 2 hours. read more

I did order a drink, but it wasn't anything special. My friend ordered a plate of food and although I wasn't particularly hungry, her food definitely smelled & looked good! Everything came out pretty quickly, too. The place is in a little plaza so parking could be a problem, but it didn't look like it was much an issue. All in all, would I come back again? Cafe Orange is a solid choice to catch up with friends or grind out some work. Ample seating, but tables only seat up to 4 at a time. Make sure you come early if you want to secure a table for your group. The cafe is open until 9-10pm most days, so it's good for late night studying. This place has been there since my college days and feels like home. I go there whenever I need to study or get my work done. The food there is amazing and super filling. The reason why I gave 4 stars is because I feel like their coffee could use a bit more work. I tried to go in on Saturday, June 10th at 12:50PM. Right when I walked in, I didn't even get to look around before being forced to leave due to having outside drinks. Though I understand this policy usually, the way we were let aware of it was really rude. The person working the register didn't allow us to even look at the menu (what if we wanted take out?). My boyfriend dropped off his drink momentarily outside with me and went back in to let them know that we were planning on ordering food anyway and asked if it was possible to allow the drinks. They rudely dismissed him. I was really excited to try this place as I've been looking at their menu for some time now, but I wasn't able to go in this time, and I'm not even sure if I want to go back. Really disappointed in the service - I've never been so turned off by service before.
