Loooovveee this cute cafe. My two favorite drinks are the honey citron tea and the silk white latte (hot). The silk white is interesting! Smooth and is like white chocolate. It's also not too too sweet. I like the kimbap here. Teokbokki is pretty good too, but as always, gets too spicy for me and I have to take the rest home haha The second room attached to it is really cute! It's been hot lately so I've been trying out more citrus fruity drinks instead my usual milk tea. I really like the Peach Lychee Tea and their Cafe Orange Blend. The Cafe Orange Blend is more of a like a slushy but in my opinion it starts to taste better as it becomes a bit less slush more more liquid slush. These two drinks are both in their Top 10 Drinks and I can see why as they are both my go to drinks now especially during the summer. Both highly recommended! I grew up around here and have been to this place in the past but decided to visit again for nostalgia and to study. Drinks are sooo expensive. Especially for an ICE COFFEE. 5 dollars is pretty pricy in this economy. Its not a specialty drink where it takes skill to create or a latte. Its literally coffee in ICE. NONE of the items on the menu have a pricing and the one menu up front is old with old pricing so things are much more expensive. hate to see it but, Da Vien is around the corner for better coffee. This is a long overdue review but I'm glad I still make it here. Good old Korean study cafe!! The place located in the heart of Korean businesses on the busy Garden Grove blvd. The parking lot is spacious, but sometimes can get crowded, especially during meal times, due to it being shared by this cafe and a few other stores in a small area. This is one of the places that I love to visit whenever I feel like working/studying at home is too boring and I need to go somewhere to change up the mood. They really put in a lot of effort decorating and maintaining this place so it always looks cute, clean, and Instagram-worthy! They have a variety of options on the menu, from coffee, boba, specialty drinks, desserts, ... to main entree, salad, dbk, dumplings, ... which is so perfect, because I get hungry all-the-time! Usually I get the strawberry yoghurt slush drink, I think that is one of their best-sellers. Very tasty!! I felt that the ingredients were a little scarce and wished there was cabbage or something else in the mix. The kimbap, however, was spot on! What a great find! So happy I stumbled across this cafe. They have delicious food for a great deal and it's such a great study spot. Parking is easy. As you enter, you can order with the cashier and there's ample amounts of seating. There's even a bigger seating area with tables and plugs right across from the cashier area. The food is delicious especially the popcorn chicken and the kimbap. This place is most definitely one of my favorite study places. I love snacking here and getting my work done. The Rose DBK isn't anything special, and it kinda tastes like the regular DBK so just save $2 and get the original. The tuna kimbop on the other hand is delicious. There's a few business hiccups that drives away it's customers such as the 5$ minimum to use credit cards, and it's refusal for Amex credit cards, understandably of course. Compared to a few other chains/businesses, this place does almost everything right. The food and drinks are great! The ambience, studious as ever, with a respectively quiet staff. However, I do wish for a more "relaxing" type of music genre to compliment the ambience. It is quite spacious, well ventilated and air cooled. To elaborate on the ventilation, the smell of food coming from other customers is almost non-existent. The seats are embracing and comfortable, and the lighting is gentle and easy on the eyes. This cafe is one of the cutest in the area! The decor here is seriously top notch and makes it a great place to sit down and study. However in my opinion the food isn't the greatest and neither is the service. Their kimbap is pretty dry and falls apart easily but the flavor of it is pretty good. Do NOT recommend their popcorn chicken at all-- super dry, no flavor without the dipping sauce (like its just unseasoned popcorn chickens with a sauce) and I didn't even get the sauce when I ordered and it took me over 10 mins asking at the counter before I could get a sauce. So I don't really recommend the food especially when Hmart has cheaper and better kimbap in my opinion. My sister still likes to come here and order drinks to study but I've never had the drinks so can't judge on that. Maybe you'd like it to study in. read more

Frankly, all I taste are rice cakes being swirled around in what appears to be a dense and flavorful sauce but is actually a watery, red substance. I barely taste any flavor. It is as if it was fake. This is honestly such a hidden gem in Garden Grove, the service was so nice and fast for how busy it was when we came. We got the tteobokki with ramen and bulgolgi. Reporting a newish addition to the menu! Rosé Tteokbokki/DBK/spicy rice cake, following a trending new take on regular spicy tteokbokki, where cream/milk and maybe cheese is added to the sauce. This makes it a lot more creamy and less spicy, which is perfect for me since I can't take too much spicy! Highly recommend trying it. I was craving DBK specifically for the rice cake chewy texture, and saw a sign advertising it as a new menu item. I'm not sure how long it's been around, I've only been here once before covid. I didn't see reviews on it so I wanted to post it here incase people didn't know. I added cheese to it and it was a great combo if you like cheese. It comes with squishy rice cakes, some fish cakes and you can add other things to it like ramen (will have to try this next time), egg, bulgogi, cheese, and gyoza for a few dollars more. I also ordered two drinks, peach lychee tea and blueberry yogurt to try them. The tea was a little bitter but was still very sweet. Would give this place a 0 if I could.Came in on 5/30/2023 around 8pm to catch up with friends. They ordered a bunch of drinks and food from this cafe and it had been a place we used to frequent a lot in the past. I had brought them gifts in bags from a country I had just visited, and as they were looking at the items inside, the EXTREMELY RUDE Asian cashier girl(college-age) came up to us and told us that there were no outside foods or drinks allowed.I was confused at first because none of us had opened anything or were planning to. I had told her that we weren't but she apparently didn't get our message and repeated herself while giving us attitude. Instead of actually assessing the situation and seeing if we did open any foods, she decided to go on a preemptive power trip and ended up looking like an idiot in front of us. My friends and I continued to catch up till 9pm when she started going around telling people that the cafe was closed very curtly. As we were getting up, she again gave us sass and attitude before telling us that we were supposed to clear the table and return the trays to the counter. She barely had told us that the cafe was closing and then started yelling at us before giving us any time to react. Super unprofessional, rude, and inept. Instead of assuming things about others and giving people enough time to react, keep your mouth shut next time and then politely talk to customers if they actually do something wrong. I used to really like this place, but it seems that the owners don't train their employees well and are allowing them to go on power trips. There are plenty of other reviews stating the same thing about customer service and the same girl. I would implore that the owners either fire her or train her better before they lose more customers because she definitely has issues communicating effectively. read more

I've came across some of the review about bad customer services and I myself experienced that myself today. I've been here for a few times since it is a ideal place to study but honestly, the services has been getting worse and worse. I've always acknowledge how overpriced some of the items are here (for example, $6.80 for a large coffee while you can get the same from 7leaves for almost $1 less). The original ramen I order was way overcooked. And the urban steak was just way too salty But I still come here sometimes just because it's spacious with plenty of tables. Today when I came back here, I carried a togo box of food because I've bought this from somewhere else and Im afraid it would go bad sitting in a hot car in the summer. However, one of the server (wearing glasses) said that Im now allowed to bring outside food here. I said I understand all that and Im not gonna eat here, I 'll sit in the front NOT EATING THE FOOD if that's okay. But with a whole lot of attitude, the server refused my willing to accommodate. And I specifically remember her because I was always rushed to order when I was not ready when I speak with her at the front (even though there was no one else but me and I already stepped aside). I appreciate how they use a pager system to alert you when your food is done instead of calling out your name/number. Internet connection is unstable especially when it got busier in the cafe. Wifi is named 2G, not sure if that's accurate. Although there is plenty of seating, there seemed to only be a handful of tables with outlets. I came here a couple times to study and I would give it 5/5 in that regard. The ambience is good, lots of seats, free wifi, sufficient outlets, open late, nice service, and lots of food options to pick (I'm really not a drinks gal lol) If you're staying for a long time the bathrooms are clean and I've left my laptop, iPad, and all out with no one watching and no problems. If you're coming to study/work, some pro-tips are: -bring AirPods/headphones the noise canceling kind. There's a good amount of people coming just to eat and catch up and at night there's droves of high schoolers coming to study from what I've experienced. If you're worried you won't hear your order being completed, don't worry the buzzer cuts through all noise (can be a little annoying tbh at first, but you get used to it) -if you're planning to write on paper, bring a surface to write on because there tables are quite textured As for food, can't go wrong with the tuna Kimbap. I ordered the poke once and they drenched it in too much sesame dressing so I would recommend to try to order on the side or with less if you're considering. I'm the type to stare off into space and there truly is a lot to look at. The tables empty frequently so I wouldn't worry about not finding a seat.
