Staying at the St. George inn me and my dad asked for a recommendation and both receptionist recommended here so we gave it a shot. Holy crap this is some of the best Mexican I've ever had! I got the chicken fajitas and they were so good! Super fresh and had every topping I wanted! They make everything there! The tortillas come out fresh and delicious! Per the receptionist recommendations my dad got the sweet pork quesadillas and loved them as well! I will note the servings are massive and unfortunately staying in a hotel couldn't bring any delicious leftovers home :( we also got a complimentary dessert from the hotel and tried the fried ice cream which was to die for! It was absolutely amazing the whole experience! If your in the Saint George area I couldn't recommend more! Definitely will be craving those fajitas at home! read more

Food was as good as I was expecting. Ordered a Chile Verde Burrito. Was salty and not very flavorful. I also got the Guacamole appetizer and it was very good. A lot of customers and very noisy. We were sat right next to the kitchen door, not a great place to sit and enjoy your dinner. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Their food is sub par, their service is even worse. I have been there many times and tried to give them multiple chances. The last time we went they sat us right next to the swinging kitchen door. The smell was awful, it smelled dirty. Upon receiving our chips and salsa there was a giant Cockroach on the salsa bowl. After showing the server all they said was eeewww I'll get you a new one. We assumed they would give us a discount or a come back and give us another chance coupon. But nope, a full price check. It just confirmed the kitchen is as dirty as it smelled. Go across the street to Angelica's. They have great food, great service. read more

Our 1st Visit here - we are normally Pizza Factory regulars but wanted a change of pace. For the atmosphere and interior looking new and fresh I was definitely not impressed with the lack of cleanliness of the tables, booths, and floors. The Servers were all gathered at the Front Counter chatting away and then they tried to seat us at a table with food around on the floors and on the benches. Doesn't take that long to properly buss and clean a booth and the benches. Then they acted a little insulted that I didn't want to sit at a dirty booth. Also - a Table in the middle of the room is set-up for Eating though the floor underneath it is a mess - I would hate to be sat there, sorry for the next unsuspecting Group to be sat there! Other than the cleanliness, our Carne Asada Burrito was really good. I especially liked adding the Appetizer "fresh" guacamole which though pricey, was very good and chunky with avocados - love it that way. My family and I absolutely love Cafe Sabor, we ate here very frequently. Today, we ordered a to go order of the Friday special - fajitas. After getting home and opening everytime up we found 2 long hairs inside our beans and rice. So NASTY. I am so bummed. Cafe Sabor was were I told all my friends to go that came into town. After today, and spending $20 bucks on fajitas with hair in them, I don't think I'll be returning. read more

We were told the wait would 30 minutes but we ended up waiting over an hour but it was insanely busy, I did get irritated when they were sitting people who had come in after we did. But the food is great. I got the chicken fajitas and my boyfriend got the carne asada. Both were to die for. The best part of it all was the chicken taquitos. Our waitress was super nice and super attentive. They had multiple people going around a refilling chips. Overall it was a good experience! read more

We stopped going here about 2 years ago when we have multiple visits and takeout experiences that were just terrible. We decided to give it another try with the hope that they had recovered from staffing issues. It's clear these folks just have no idea how to handle the operational side of a restaurant. The food was always very good, but they just drop the ball every time. We stopped in to order some churros to go. The restaurant and bar were busy but at the time there was no wait for a table so it wasn't packed. Placed the order and was told it would be about 15-20 minutes. At 45 minutes I asked the hostess if there was any update or ETA. She disappeared into the back and returned to the stand and ignored me. At 60 minutes I asked again and had the same experience. Finally at 75 minutes we left with no food. Our mini test to see if things had improved produced the same experience we had seen before, so no...they don't have it together, which is a real bummer because the food is actually pretty good. read more

Had lunch there today. I had the three choice combo. My choices were taco, tostada, enchilada or tamale or a chili relleno for $4 more! I opted for tostada, enchilada and tamale. The tamale was more masa than beef and really dry, the meat was not tender and was way under seasoned. The last inch and a half was ALL masa!! The tostada didn't have much on it and just ok. The enchilada was flat with hardly any filling and just meat. It was covered with cheese but again very dry with no enchilada sauce. My server dropped my fork on the floor and graciously got me another. When I opened it up the fork had all kinds of junk on it!! Obviously had not been inspected before rolled up in the napkin! It took me five minutes to flag down our server to get a clean fork. Our server was very nice and cordial. She did get me a refill on my drink without me asking which for me is a must if she wants a tip! The hot salsa and chips were the best part of the meal... overall I was quite disappointed!! This is a hidden treasure! Great food! Really reasonable prices! We travel a lot and this evening's meal was exceptionally tasty. I had the Tequila Pasta and my husband had the chicken mole. The veggies in my pasta were flavorful and not cooked to mushyness. (No word) another words the veggies had their flavor. The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly. This place was super packed but we were lucky to grab seats at the bar upstairs. Glad they had chips and salsa for the table right when we sat down. Ordered the guacamole which was basically avocados chopped up, lacking flavor. The Shrimp Ceviche was the best thing out of our order... it was fresh and flavors were great. Lastly, the Salad with steak came with creamy cilantro dressing... this wasn't bad, but not memorable enough. Terrible food. Chile Relleno looked dead. Shrimp Diablo was tasteless with pasty white, flavorless shrimp Good chips Guacamole was chunky real avocado with a slice of lime. More like chunky avocado but not guacamole. Salsa was runny and greasy. Steak salad was almost inedible. Waitress struggled with a group of 24 on her 4th day there. That's great customer service my friends! I WILL visit one of their locations again and give a full review of service and food. Party of 4 on a Saturday night around 7ish driving through town. The lobby was busy and being managed by teens in training. Hopefully the next training session is "How to make a customer feel valued and want to stay at our restaurant". The waitress forgot our guacamole which was no big deal but we waited forever for our food and while waiting we killed 7 of the dozens of flies swarming our drinks and table. It was so gross! They would not leave my son alone and then when our foos came it was officially more than we could handle. We talked to the manager and he said there was nothing he could do...they were everywhere. We've been in Utah visiting a week and have not seen a fly anywhere - not the pool or our condo or any of the other restraunts we've been to. This review is for the vegans. You have two options which I was grateful for. I got the veggie burrito and it was terrible. The rice was like minute rice, the beans had no flavor, and the tortilla was walmart quality. However, the guacamole and chips were the only enjoyable part for me. Come HUNGRY! We decided to try this as we had a discount pass and had not heard much about it but wanted a sit down restaurant and wanted Mexican food. From the first minute, everything just clicked in place and hit all the high notes of a great restaurant. Easy parking, attractive lobby, clean restrooms. We were told it could be 15 min wait and it was less than 10. Menus had variety and were attractive, prices just right, service exceptional. We took a risk and also got the coconut soup which will be my crave for a long time... already thinking about when I can go back to get some to take home. Ceviche was delicious and shrimp filled, salsa and chips perfect... reapply impressed. Chili verde was a little watery but with decent flavor so we give it an 8 of 10, but 10 of 10 for the rest. Service top notch. We wanted to take home the little bit of salsa and chips we had left over and they gave is a good sized container instead... so smart., they just got a loyal customer from that! read more

I have loved this place every night until tonight. It's the only place which they cannot seat you at the bar right away because they are understaffed. I don't see a problem sitting Down relaxing and at least having a water or reading the menu. I was quite disappointed. Plenty of empty seats just sitting there. We have now been waiting 50 minutes. We tried this place for the first time based on a recommendation during Covid-19 Stay at Home. Their service was great - ordering on phone or online and then driving into a numbered stall and calling to say we were there. We fell in love with their mild salsa and ordered an extra pint the second time we came. The Carne Asada Fries were huuuuge! The Chile verde burrito was fabulous with a great green sauce and the Cali Chimichanga was great. Our surprise favorite was the shrimp ceviche. We have lived in St. George for about a year and have been searching for a good mexican place. After many failed visits to other places we decided to try Cafe Sabor. Glad we did. Their complementary chips and salsa tasted home made and were hot upon delivery. You can tell how fresh their food is by the tortillas being made when you walk in the door. The service was fast and very good. I'm not the biggest fan of Mexican food but the homemade tastes won me over. We will be back read more

First visit: We went to this place, for a Christmas Party and the food and service were great. The downstairs party room is very nice, up to date and the service was satisfactory. Enchiladas, and Salad were fantastic. The beans were ok and the rice is very bland. Mexican rice was not flavorful, it was tasteless almost like white rice with food color added. Second visit: we arrived at 8:30 and the place had several employees, however no one greeted us until we started poking our head into the dining room. There was to other parties of 4-5 people. We were sat at a table in the middle of room. Server was nice, and friendly We did not get our appetizer before the meal. One meal completely wrong, and we waited a good bit of time, to get the correct meal. QUESADILLA was the best(according to my daughter). Street tacos were good Burrito was a good but small portion, for a moderate price. There were 7-9 employees, not including the Kitchen. Amazing that so many employees on duty, but no customers. The next customers that arrived, were told it would be a few minutes, before they could be served, yet the dining room was empty? We may try it again. The customer service here, is subpar at best. Drove by here to see if they were going to be too busy to take a to go order, saw that they literally had no one inside or outside (like they usually do when they're busy). So I decided to place an order to go. Tried calling at least 4 times. On the 4th time, got put on hold. So I sat on hold for a good 15 minutes before I said screw it and hung up and went somewhere else. Definitely would not recommend. The food isn't too bad when we're there, but have experienced enough repeated poor customer service, that it is shockingly surprising that they're still in business. Much better Mexican food at other places in St. George. Don't waste your time folks. It's not as good as you may think. read more
