I had been looking forward to having brunch at this restaurant for awhile now as I wanted to try their seafood brunch. My sister invited me about 2 weeks ago on Sunday. The atmosphere was nice and there was a gentleman playing guitar of various songs and genres of music that was very pleasant. Several tables were celebrating birthdays and the Artist played beautiful versions of the Birthday song. On to the food. There was quite a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables and side dishes. Lamb, duck,prime rib, crab, shrimp cooked different ways, sushi. There were desserts but I didn't indulge; plastic cups filled with candy for kids and adults. You were greeted with champagne and orange juice to make your own mimosa if you wish or just drink them separately. The area for the food were neat and clean; servers were around to attend to your needs;being sure plenty of food was available as well. This all you can eat weekend buffet is simply the best. We made reservations via Open Table months prior to our visit to be sure that we maximized all of our time in the area for a staycation. We love to eat early so it worked out great making the first reservation they had available right upon opening. It is pricy but worth the money if you do it right. If the unlimited seafood doesn't get you excited, perhaps the all you can drink alcoholic options will. I will never not get excited about bottomless mimosas (even during dinner). There are some meat options but the best items here are definitely the seafood. We focused a lot of our energy on lobster tails and crab legs and they were delicious. The dessert bar also had a ton of options and the boba bar was a nice touch as it's my strong belief that every good meal should end with boba. I am a buffet connoisseur and this one didn't disappoint. I mean, how can you beat AYCE lobster and crab? I couldn't understand the negative reviews of this place but I get it. It's overpriced for the actual quality of food. They deliver only false promises of a luxury dining experience when everything is relatively subpar for the money you are actually dropping. Best way I can put it since I feel like I could have spent less money on dining at an actual fine dining spot with much better quality food, service, and ambiance. their boba/ice cream bar is gimmicky at best and everything else is no different than what you might find at a buffet you enter for a fraction of the high price tag. If you're just wanting to gorge yourself on obscene amounts of food and alcohol, this might be it for you, but avoid at all costs if you prefer quality over quantity. Traveled from SJ CA in order to try out the food. Loved the staff loved the cooks, and servers. Very attentive to details. Every time my drink was low they appeared to refill. It's very romantic but I can definitely see groups of friends being here in order to celebrate. The music was live and It was not loud to the point were it prevents guest from talking to each other. The food was everything I had hoped for. I left this place barely able to breath. Everything was so delicious. I tried to taste as much as I could but the star of the show was the seafood. Lobster, claws, 3 different crab legs and so much more. It was great! The meat selection was awesome. I'm not big on dessert but I tried a little of everything. I've never been more conflicted about an establishment- mostly because we were so excited about the potential of this buffet, especially on Chinese New Year, and it turned out nothing quite as expected. Beautiful venue, easy to navigate to, and we were grateful to have had early reservations. FOOD- worse than subpar. We came for the seafood- OYSTERS were clearly not fresh. They were somehow drying in their shells (a couple of us got food poisoning), and not plump, juicy, or flavorful as one would expect. LOBSTER- overly steamed and too tough/ difficult to eat. I basically had to force myself to swallow the entire piece. We were excited for baked lobster options- no such thing available. DESSERTS- creme brûlée sat out for too long so there was no satisfying 'crack' to the top. Cream for most desserts were either sitting out for too long or overly whipped- WAY too stiff!! SERVICE- beyond what I would've expected. TEN STARS for service if possible. I've never had better service, not even in Vegas!! Too bad the food took the entire experience down. PRICE- ridiculous that it was $500 for the three of us. My boyfriend has been here pre-COVID, during, and for Lunar New Year and as a Chinese person... the extra $50+ per person for the 15-mins lion dance was just not worthwhile. On Thanksgiving 2022, we had a Thanksgiving buffet at Cafe Sierra. The cost was over $100/person and was AYCE until around 2:30. The selection was rather meager, and the food tasted rather mediocre than spectacular. I made a bad choice in selecting their Mexican food, as it was not very tasty and really did not taste like anything special. The salmon was good and plentiful, but was probably the only food I would consider tasty. As for desserts, they were rather plain and not exciting, but a nice selection was available. I absolutely love this place. So we went two weeks ago and the price was $109 for Sunday brunch which includes unlimited mimosas, all you can eat seafood and an abundance amount of delicious items, desert bar and great service. We went again this weekend and took my granddaughter for her birthday, because she loves crab legs. What better way to celebrate her 10th birthday. I booked a reservation here for a late Valentine's brunch with my girlfriend. When I went to their website, it allowed me to book a reservation for 2pm. I thought this was weird because their hours listed their brunch as ending at 2pm, but since I was in a hurry and figured it was a last seating at 2. Nevertheless, I tried calling them MULTIPLE times to inquire about this and no one ever picked up. When I arrived, I informed the host that I had a reservation for 2pm, she seated us but told us we should "start immediately". Then, my waiter arrived and informed us that we had only about 20 minutes before they would close the buffet. I then had to rush through my meal, scrambling to get food and generally had an awful time. Why does this place offer a RESERVATION for 2pm if you'll only get less than half an hour to eat? That's frankly ridiculous for the amount of money that it costs. If they want to close to prep for dinner service that's fine, but their reservations offered should reflect that. The food is okay, but the disregard for my experience and the fact that me and my girlfriend had to rush through what was meant to be a very special treat for the both of us completely ruined it. This place is the non-vegetarian version of that story. And we are all baby Buddhas. AYCE lobster, AYCE dungeness crab, AYCE wine, beer, champagne and prime rib. My lovely boyfriend found this place, made rezzies and was super excited. Anyway, as we were heading there, I called to ask where to park - it's right next to Universal Studios afterall. I got an answering machine that says "we are now open for dinner for $139." I was like whoa. Parking is validated, but it still came out to $14 I think. When we got there, they just hiked the price to $150 for 2024. Anyways, our server was nowhere to be found. I wanted to see the drink menu. He came about 40 min later. Then disappeared again for another hour. But it's a buffet. My boyfriend thinks they're understaffed. But he was nice when he showed up. When I asked for the drink menu, he asked "beer and wine is all included." I said, "what kind of wine?" He's like "you want champagne? I'll get you some." And he came back with champagne, not in a flute but a huge wine glass. He filled that puppy till like 3/4 of the way.. which is huge. Boyfriend keeps getting me lobster. I think I had 5. But this lady next to me, she was getting the juice from the aguachile. And I said "so tell me what you're doing." She said she eats the lobster with the aguachile juice. I'm like whoa... so I tried it even tho I was bursting at the seams, and she's right. Also the pink chocolate fountain tastes like lipstick. Yucky tho. The churros are good. They also have sushi chef waiting to make you handrolls or cut you sashimi. The lobster handrolls are out of this world. The boba ... look boba is an art. This may be passing for a person not from SGV, where there's a huge concentration of boba shops. But it's.. blasphemy for those from SGV. Skip it. Nothing really stood out. It's a Hilton hotel buffet. It's $70 a person. I expected more. The desert bar is very similar to a Golden Corral. This buffet has build your own crepes. 2 stars because of the reason that we went for king crab legs and they were an absolute let down. Not too sure if it was a bad day or what but the king crabs legs were bland/ watery and the shells were super rubbery. Even when we asked for them to make us some fresh king crab legs they were still bland in flavor. Kind of a let down for $150 per person. The lobster was great, the snow crab was just alright, and a couple other things were pretty good but the hype is for the king crab legs and they were 1/10. Was here for the Saturday Seafood Buffet. It's $140 per person (before taxes/gratuity) and it's what you make of it. If you can eat seafood and gorge on whole lobster, then you can make it worthwhile. Sashimi selection was decent. The Chinese dim sum (har gow, siu mei) can be skipped. Salad was just caesar, no build your own option, no "green leaf with tomato" like the store kits. The risotto was heard/dry, which was weird. There was roasted pork (char siu), duck, lamb, and prime rib. For a buffet, the cost is really the seafood (crab, whole lobster). Service was great - refills, checked on us, took away dirty plates, etc. The place is about 50% capacity at 7:00pm for a Saturday. Quiet ambiance. Haven't been back since Covid and the seafood is still as fresh I as I remembered and what's even better is the Alaskan King Crab legs and the whole lobster. Yes prices have gone up to $150 for dinner (they also started opening for Friday buffet dinner) but it's so worth it for the variety of fresh seafood. Attended the special July 4 dinner, and didn't know what to expect. They had live music, which we really enjoyed. The service was very excellent, constantly taking plates and clearing the shell bins. I appreciated how many towelettes they gave, and the table being clean. Seafood crackers are given at each place setting. For the food, I really enjoyed the sushi chef (handrolls and sashimi). I didn't see many people visiting this area. The meat was very hit and miss. I was disappointed with the filet mignon being blue rare. Each piece was like this and I couldn't bring myself to try it. I loved the snow crab legs and shrimp. Hot dishes were also good, but didn't have many of them. We went for the dinner option for the lobster and king crab legs. The lobster was just off to me. Pretty rubbery, maybe overcooked. Some of the king crab legs were great and others are really dry (as other reviewers pointed out). I preferred the snow crab legs. The desserts were amazing. One of our favorite parts. I wish they had food allergies listed (gluten, dairy) to make it easier for everyone to enjoy. I recommend making a reservation and going early for dinner. They validate parking so we ended up paying $13 instead of $45 for parking. The price is high, but worth it in my opinion for what you are getting. I haven't been here in 15 years and my goodness have they changed the buffet fully updated. One of my favorite things about the buffet would be the fact that they have a huge lobster selection. They have all kinds of seafood, from oysters to lobster tails, king crab claws, shrimp, cocktails, sushi, hand roll bar, pasta, lamb chops, some Chinese food, pizza for the little ones and they have a massive dessert section. I came here so many years ago and one big change was the price point. The buffet used to be $65 per person, but now it's $149. In my opinion it's worth it for the amount of unlimited lobster you get to eat. The one thing I missed that they don't have was fully cooked lobster tail that had this amazing butter sauce, but I guess they no longer make it anymore. Services is really good on the weekdays and the weekend gets a bit busy so it takes a little bit more time to get service but overall it's a good experience. I found this place on Instagram and was so excited to visit, the videos they use on their instagram profile and what influencers have posted look out of this world amazing. Alaskan king crab legs, lobster, shrimp, and it's all you can eat. But if I'm being honest, I felt catfished lol and here is why. The Food: The food was very underwhelming, and for $159 per person I was expecting large plates of Alaskan king crab, and the king crab they actually provide were not Alaskan...they were about the same size as snow crab we had to ask one of the chefs were there in any other options for crab. Everything was served cold and they only provided 1-2 crab legs at a time. The lamb chops were decent, but also code as it seemed as if the heat plants over the food weren't working properly. I want to try the prime rib and the slice they provided was as thin as lunchmeat I could you not. The lobster claws we ate were decent but also cold it felt as if we were eating a crab boil on a plate at a sweet garlic sauce served with it and it got to the point when trying to eat the food or you just give up and started to question Should we stay or should we go? The snow, crap and shrimp were all served over ice and looked completely run through as guest are allowed to grab their own and the crab legs did not look the best as somewhere, extremely bruised, discolored, broken legs, which is not the experience we were expecting from any level of restaurant. The quality of the food in my personal opinion was that of a local neighborhood buffet with a max price of $30. No, I'm not saying the food was nasty. It's just not what it pictured and advertised on social media and everything is served cold which is not my preference and when it's busy, the cleanliness and presentation seems to go out of the window as everything feels so chaotic some of the food combinations don't make sense And while sitting at the table eating her food, we honestly kept discussing where we could've gone and got a better experience for the price. I could say so much more, but I will leave it here. The Service/Ambiance: I was very disappointed in the service as it seemed as if they were understaffed very long wait times even with reservations. This restaurant sits near the front entrance of the Hilton hotel. There's a lot of foot traffic from people checking in and out of the hotel the the actual seating area is very congested difficult to walk through tables with plates of food as you're bumping other people's chairs and standing literally at their tables due to such a small walking area to accommodate more tables as they are extremely close together, some of the seats like mine had broken backs and they were wobbly feels too small to accommodate the amount of people they try to accommodate during busy hours. All and all, I probably won't be returning. If you're looking for a Vegas style buffet. This is not it, from the moment I got there everything seemed completely unorganized. Maybe others have had better experiences but for my first time this was my experience. Maybe it was a busy night and they were understaffed, but that doesn't give an excuse for the quality of food that was provided. The staff was nice but you can tell they seemed overworked. Probably the most expensive and decently high quality buffet in all of Los Angeles. Let's get to the parking first, self parking at the Hilton since the restaurant is inside it. It's like $25 for self parking but if you go to the buffet they validate and it drops to $13.20. Take the ticket with you, the machine to pay is right by the elevators by the restaurant. Your server will give you a paper with a QR code for the discount. The restaurant it self is nice with very big ceilings. What I like about this buffet was no time limit. You just go and enjoy your dinner. The food like all buffets were hit and miss. This is a tip the Saturday night Buffet starts a 5pm that's when I went right at the opening. This is a mistake it's better to go at about 530pm reservation. The lobster that everyone is going for it's better on the third round of trays that comes out. It seems that when the first few trays comes out, it was already prepared and been sitting around and bit and the lobsters continues to cook and was kinda of like warm and rubbery. I tried the third tray that came out, it was fresh out of the oven and it was hot and cooked perfect. Their prime rib was top quality, juicy and tender, they also serve the beef ribs that were attached to the prime rib. Slap on some of their chimichuri sauce and your good to go. Their chimichuri sauce was amazing it went with all their meats. Their Korean bbq short ribs were also top notch quality thick tender short ribs. They also serve porchetta if you don't know what that is look it up. It's basically the whole pork belly with rib meat rolled up with herbs and seasoning with crispy skin. Their do have a Chinese section which wasn't impressive I honestly thought panda would be better flavor. They also have a sushi section which I would avoid wasn't good quality and the tuna quality wasn't all that. Also their taco section is avoid, your not gonna pay big bucks to eat tacos. Their desert section was pretty good with a crepe station and hand scoop ice cream. They also had various cakes and crème brûlée, a chocolate fountain. I honestly if your gonna go here, stick with all the meats and lobster the hit up the dessert. All their meats were top notch. Some of the seafood was hit or miss. People were taking 2 plates of steamed snow crab legs but I hate working for my food. With tax and tip it came out be about $107 a person. Not a cheap buffet but if you can eat ton of lobster and prime rib. You can get your moneys worth. Remember reservations are a must. It's casual dress code I'd wear some stretchy pants and lose clothing if your gonna chow down. So why the 3 stars, I felt the price point was a bit high, for the price the sushi quality could be better, to me it tasted like premade market sushi not good. This all you can eat seafood buffet was off the hook. You get what you pay for. The seafood was excellent. All varieties of food. Lamb, duck, prime rib and steak. Crab legs galore and all you can eat lobster. The shrimp were very big and the Fresh scallops were awesome to see. Two things I was not happy with. 1) The New York steak was over cooked and garlicky. Not into garlic on my steak. I like the grill taste to steaks. And 2) The oysters were super dry! I only got two that weren't stuck to the shell looking like they been there for weeks. Other than that, the food was great. Service was cool. Michael did a great job clearing out tables and filling up drinks. Ambiance was very nice. It reminded me of a ballroom. There was live music. A musician. Very mellow songs of this generation sung with a cool vibe. My friend and I have decided to make this our annual Christmas dinner. I can't wait to go next year. In my opinion, I would recommend this to whoever wants to experience this buffet. You do have to make a reservation. Please feel free to try it out. I believe you won't regret it. read more

Let me start by saying that half the stuff bloggers post and said about cafe sierra was false. The food options were very limited for the price they charge. A few things that people talk about and they didn't offer was the unlimited beer, wine, and champagne, there was no pasta station and very limited dessert options. The only bright side to it was the king crab leg and lobster. There was always a line for lobster as they couldn't keep up with the demand. Our server was very nice and always checking on us. The best thing about the buffet was our server. Food quality was subpar. Is it worth the hefty price tag of $175 with there service fee? No but I'll let you be the judge. read more

Saw Dan vs World on YouTube recently and also the Yelp reviews and decided to give the Sunday Brunch a try. I am happy to say that over 90% of the food was great especially for the $49 price. In addition, the service that was provided by Jovita was outstanding as she filled our orange juice and water without even asking. Plates were cleared off by the time we came back to our table. The Buffet is crowded but manageable and customers are required to wear masks when not eating which we appreciated. Some of the highlights: 1) Lobster claws- large and worth the work to crack them 2) Prime Rib- not bad for a buffet 3) Korean short ribs- not too sweet and very meaty 4) Mongolian BBQ- the fresh sautéed noodles, beef, chicken and veggies were addicting! Didn't want to fill my stomach with starch but couldn't stop eating it! 5) All the desserts! Especially the fresh crepes! 6) Fried Chicken-was so crispy and moist even though they were all breast pieces. 7) Seafood- the shrimp and fresh oysters! Avoid 1) Tuna Sashimi- definitely frozen and watery As I mentioned earlier the service from all the employees from Jovita to the food servers were fantastic!
