    CS's version of huevos rancheros...yum!

Who knew this place existed? I didn't, until a counterpart told me about it! Basically Cafe Soleil is a sit down restaurant (I believe run by Eskenazi Health?) where tipping is not allowed/required and has many options (including a salad bar at lunch). I've been here twice and both dishes have been delicious and the price point right on target. Most recently I came here with my work partner and got their version of huevos rancheros...wow! So flavorful and served over rice instead of the traditional tortilla. In addition, our server was so friendly and accommodating. I'd come here every day if I could!

Seriously, for the quality & value at Cafe Soleil, it's easily THE best kept secret in Indy. Healthy food doesn't have to mean only salads (though they do have a great salad bar), and the food at Soleil aims for healthy but doesn't skimp on flavor or variety. They recently implemented themed lunch buffet on Fridays, and they also rotate through seasonal menu offerings so you never feel bored with the choices here. My current obsession is the tuna steak available from their summer menu. It comes with a tomato/cucumber salad for $9. Nowhere else in Indy is feeding you healthy delicious food like Soleil.

I think if Café Soleil was located anywhere else, I would give it 3 stars. However, if you're located on the far northwest side of campus and unable to leave, you're pretty much stuck with hospital cafeteria food (or Duos, thankfully)....so, Café Soleil can seem like a partial miracle. You are seated, you are waited upon, and your food comes out on real plates with actual silverware and a cloth napkin. Best of all, the menu prices are incredibly cheap, especially when compared to the lower quality, but just as expensive, nearby cafeteria options. Since the café's employees agreed to forego tips in exchange for a living wage, you are not required to tip. And if you do tip, the tip is supposedly donated to a charity/foundation. The food is average-to-good, depending on what you order. I've been happy with the grilled chicken nachos, which are dressed with black beans, olives and pico de gallo. It avoids the nuclear-orange nacho sauce and is not too greasy. Many of my co-workers have gushed over the ribs special...yes, ribs...at a hospital café. I would recommend avoiding a visit exactly at noon, since it appears a lot of Eskenazi medical personnel and Riley defectors swarm the place and you sometimes have to wait for a table. Café Soleil is not part of the main Eskenazi Health building, but located next to the Starbucks on the 1st floor of the attached Fifth Third Bank building.

Healthy and delicious for an amazing price, Eskenazi has a great thing going with it's Cafe Soleil ! This restaurant is probably the best value in the city. The menu is full of fresh and delicious choices, but the best value is probably their salad bar. So many options and unlimited visits, it's definitely a bang for your buck. The Seriously Amazing Club is excellent, and lives up to it's name, the Fruit and Nut Salad is a great choice as well. They also have a Sunday Buffet brunch that looks AMAZING!!! They deliver as well so if you can't visit the restaurant you can still get their great food at their amazing prices delivered to you.

The reason that I give 4 is because of the price and food are coincided. The menu that I will recommend is the ribs and half & half, Po boy shrimps half wrap and cafe Cobb salad. It's the best sneak out of clinic choice!

If you are looking for portion and calorie control you have come to the right place. I had todays special meatloaf with mashed potatoes gravy and corn on the cob. Im not typicaly into meatloaf but I love gravy and potatoes. The meatloaf was actually pretty good as was the mashed potatoes and gravy, but being a lover of carbs there was not enough. The corn on the cob was over cooked. The price is good for the amount you get. Service was good and there is no tipping. Servers dont make the pathetic wage like at a normal restaurant. The Cafe is in the adjacent building from hospital with a 5th3rd that is not a bank and offer no banking services. There is also a Starbucks and a quick grab version of the Cafe. They also offer a pretty good salad bar and quite a few menu options. I would choose this over Duo that is located outside the hospital. I also loked liked the warm earth tones and windows looking out to the patio.

I just took a sip and had to open it up because it both tasted acrid and had a grainy texture to it. I got a drip coffee with cream and carmel syrup. Unfortunately, I find myself at IU Health more than I'd prefer, but Tinker Coffee has become the new bright spot in my visits. I'm all about coupling the best with the worst So, what to expect? They're located across the hall from the main IU Health cafeteria. The space is currently undergoing renovations, but in the meantime, you can still grab drinks and some light snacks. I was told more food options were on the horizon. I love seeing Tinker as an option in place of the frou-frou coffee option (you know, coffee milkshakes...) that was previously in this space. The young woman I've encountered during my latest visits has been very personable (and handles the steady line of customers with ease). I look forward to visiting this spot every time I enter 550 University Boulevard. Bravo, Team Tinker!

I find…read moremyself making excuses to run errands on Washington Street just so I have an excuse to stop at Good Vibes! I know Good Vibes Cafe is known for their boba tea and "croffles," so of course I had to try one of each on my first visit! I love all the punny names of the boba drinks, mine was called "Pinky Swear," and another cute one is "Peach, Don't Kill My Vibe!" The Pinky Swear has a strawberry tea base with peach popping boba, and it's exactly what I order when I get boba at Harmony or Kung Fu Tea, so I knew I was going to like it! The "croffle" (a croissant in the waffle iron) is out-of-this-world delicious! It was the perfect balance of flaky and fluffy, and the Biscoff drizzle and fresh whipped cream made it even better. Now this is definitely not something that you can eat every day, but is a great occasional indulgence. On my most recent visit, I mixed it up and tried a coffee drink this time! I got the Biscoff latte, and it was literally perfect. The cup was lined with Biscoff cookie butter, and the rich espresso balanced out the sweetness and made it impossible to stop drinking. The only thing that would make this latte better would be if it came in a bigger size! One of my favorite things about Good Vibes is the half and half cup, where you can pick a drink for each side of the cup! It's a great way to enjoy everything Good Vibes had to offer without being forced to make a decision between two equally delicious drinks, plus it costs the same as a large drink! What's not to love? I definitely recommend Good Vibes Cafe, and don't be surprised if you see me there when you stop by!

My aunt and I have made it a point to stop in every-time we're in Indy, and have never been disappointed. I typically stick to their iced chai, which is very refreshing and one of my favorites. Today I tried their seasonal tiramisu latte and absolutely loved it. I've tried others but they simply do not compare. The aesthetic is there. I want to be here. But at your price point, the experience needs to match the atmosphere, and lately there have been a few things quietly chipping away at that. First -- the syrup situation. I shouldn't have to order a specific menu latte just to get a flavored drink. A little flexibility goes a long way in making a customer feel like a guest and not just a transaction. Let me build my drink a little. I'll spend more, I promise. And the pastries, baby. I ordered a croissant and watched it get placed in a bag with a thin sheet of paper like it didn't deserve better. By the time I got home, it had made up its mind to be a different pastry entirely. I know there's a microwave back there -- I've seen it working for the breakfast sandwiches. A warm croissant is a small thing that changes everything. I'm not going anywhere. But I need you to know I notice these things -- because I care about what this place could be. Still yours (for now), A regular.

This location has a lot of shelf-stable import Italian foods available for purchase, alongside fresh fruits and dairy products from local farms. Counter service for coffee is pretty quick for a mid-afternoon visit. I got the Neapolitan rose latte from the March spring specials. It was kind of expensive ($8 for 16 oz) but very delicious. It was a floral kind of sweet with the addition of a hint of rose. The pink foam colored with strawberry and beet powders adds to the overall cutesy effect! I also got a cocoa brownie ($2.50, about a 3-inch square) and that is surely chocolatey. I didn't find it to be too sweet but it doesn't lack in that department either. They use a Dutch process cocoa in their brownie to give it that signature dark color. Flavor wise, I can best describe it as an Oreo Cakester without the cream filling. Anyway, if you ever see me walking around the Stutz, you'll likely find me with an Amelia's coffee in hand as well!
