To start, we got the tuna poke and mussels, which were both delicious and had a kick to it. We love spice which was great!! I had the crab cake entree, which was very good. The crab cakes were mainly crab meat and little to no breading, which I love. The sides were very good. Other people in my party got the seared tuna, scallops with mushroom risotto, and lobster with truffle Mac n cheese. For dessert, we got the crème brûlée and the bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream. Both were delicious but especially the cinnamon ice cream. It's made in house!! My husband and I had a 6:30 reservation and showed up a little bit early. I wasn't expecting to be able to be seated but to my surprise they had our table ready for us. I love the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. Our waiter was great. My husband ordered an old fashioned and had no complaints. We also had the wedge salad, lobster in paradise and crab cakes. All of the food was great. My only complaint was someone (not our waiter) brought our food out and set it to the side near our table. We knew it was ours due to where it had been set. He walked away and never came back. Our food set there for about 5 minutes before another waitress that had passed by it several times stopped and looked at the ticket. She brought it to us. My first time at Café 30A, my local Frye d had heard from several acquaintances that that really liked this restaurant. We had spent the day boutique shopping and decided to stop and see what the menu was like. It's a real cute restaurant, the staff are very friendly and personable. After looking at the menu and hearing about the dinner entree deal we decided to have a meal. We both ordered the group dish but without fish. It was delicious, the vegetable were fresh tasting and the curry was so good. We were kind of taken aback that we were charged the regular price even though we both ordered it without the fish. Happy to celebrate another birthday for my sister-in-law, Stephanie, at Cafe 30A. Valet parking is appreciated and the ambience is like an old sea coast house. Our server, Steven, was amazing and resembled George Clooney (ladies take note) . They have a terrific menu. You have to try the She Crab soup. It is the best I've ever tasted. My darling wife dined on the crusted Pompano and I enjoyed every bite of the seared scallops on a mound of creamy risotto garnished with flash-fried Brussel sprout leaves. Came here for 'Tini Time. When we walked in I asked where we go for Tini Time and this man said "Well, YOU can go in there, but THEY cannot!" Referring to my 10 and 13yr old daughters. His tone of voice and look of disgust was so gross. Nowhere does it say children aren't welcome or that we can't sit at a table in the bar area with them. I searched the website. Nothing. I also searched for their email to discuss this in private and their email is hidden. There's no way I would ever support a business that would speak to me and my family that way. Really loved our dinner here. We stopped in without a reservation but we were able to sit at the bar. We ordered our drinks first. I got the blueberry lemonade martini. It was really good! Loved it!! We ordered our food and they asked if we wanted bread so they brought us out a warm loaf with oil to dip it in. We also ordered an appetizer. We shared the calamari. It also has some fried jalapenos in there. It was honestly some of the best calamari I've ever had. For dinner, I had the crab cake entree. It was on top of mashed potatoes and had a side of green beans. The mashed potatoes were really good and the green beans had great seasoning on them. My only complaint was that some of the green beans still had the stems. For dessert, we shared the peach and blueberry cobbler with ice cream. It was really good. I would definitely get that again. This was our second visit this year at Cafe Thirty-A. We actually got the same waiter and very close to the same table. I love the atmosphere. It is upscale while still being comfortable. The music always has a great playlist at a comfortable level and acoustics are great so even when the restaurant is busy, you can easily talk to others at your table. Our food came out quickly just like the first visit we had and our waiter was still excellent. They have a beautiful cocktail and wine list. Anything we have tried has been great. We started with apps: the crabcake, the whipped honey ricotta, and two of us got the crab soup. Hands down the best crabcake I have ever had! And the ricotta was so creamy and delicious. I had a wedge salad- it was everything you want out of a wedge salad! Fresh, cold, and smothered in blue cheese. I love their addition of sundried tomatoes that add a touch of Smokey sweetness. I got the snapper with mushroom risotto and it was absolutely fantastic!! To end, we shared a bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream. We made a reservation for 2 at prime time - 6:30. We had changes and needed to make it for 4 people. I called and the sweet girl on the phone made the change right away - her name was Emily. We walked in at 6:30 and we're seated immediately. Our waitress was amazing and had us interacting the entire time. Even the service helper walked me to the restroom when I asked where it was. I made a reservation here less than a month in advance and was still able to get a good time for dinner. We had a large party too, with 9 people. We were able to get a parking spot in the lot in the disabled spot since one of our party members had a placard. Our table was ready and waiting for us and we were seated upstairs to the left. The inside is way bigger than I thought it would be. Our server was with us immediately and it was excellent all night, never letting our glasses get below half. The blend of attentiveness versus being overbearing was perfect! We started with the carpaccio and crab cake and both were excellent. For my entree, I had the Maine lobster and it did not disappoint. The mac and cheese was great, but the roasted red pepper made the meal. I could have gone without the peas, but the presentation was great and the peas added to that with their green color. The menu I found was limited, but the atmosphere is excellent with lots of fun European-style posters framed on the walls. The place was packed, even on a Sunday, and we knew we were in for some good food. The crab cakes were excellent and well-sized for the price, the filet was well cooked and the sides were good as well, I however am docking one star because the pesto-style pasta myself and my colleague ordered was almost too salty to eat. The horseradish taste wasn't strong in the Crème which could be nice depending on what you want. Reason for a 4 is the quantity of Crème overpowered the flavor of the beef. Chloe- Pan Seared Snapper- 5/5 Snapper was good especially with the sauce. The succotash was the fresh component I wanted. I was looking for something light but filling and this dish fit the bill. Our waiter said that both our dishes were good choices and we agree. Jackson- Seared Sea Scallops- 5/5 Scallops were light and buttery, pairing cohesively with the risotto. The vinaigrette and brussels complimented the dish nicely. As someone who does not enjoy mushrooms, these were nice. At first, we were curious about the side being heavy compared to the light scallop, but it was perfect. Dessert- 3.5/5 The sorbet were all well made. The texture was great. Boom! Five Stars!!! Good lord, everything about this place is five stars! Get a reservation to be sure you get a table. We had the filet and added a lobster tail to share. We also shared a wedge (what can I say, we're getting old). We had great cocktails (Lemon drop for the boss and old fashion for me) and some awesome wine (wine by the glass was kinda limited, though). Also took some key lime cheesecake to go... However, the very best thing we had was the She Crab soup. It was fabulous and the best I ever had. I'm telling you, if you search the entire planet, you're not finding it better anywhere else. The decor and ambience was great and very elegant yet beachy! A must try but it is expensive, and worth it. Our server James killed it. I honestly can't believe people enjoy this restaurant. I think it's probably just people that think they know what good food is. It was incredibly average and in some ways below average. I've never had a steak that tasted like it was microwaved. Just an awful steak. Very low quality meat. This was by far our most expensive meal on 30a, and by far our worst experience. On the bright side, the place is beautiful. Highly recommend trying any other boutique restaurant around 30a that have chefs that curate meals, but not this one. read more

No complaints about the food or management--the problem was our server, Robert. From the start, his attitude was off-putting and made us feel judged. He rushed through the specials in seconds with no explanation, criticized almost everything we ordered (from the cold brew martini to the mussels and salmon), and even complained about his own management. The breaking point was when we asked for a minute between courses and he rolled his eyes and told us to "GET IT TOGETHER." That was completely uncalled for, and we ended up requesting a new server, who was great. Overall, his negativity ruined what should have been a great experience. My Family rented the private room upstairs for a large party of about 45 people for my Uncle's 70th birthday a few weeks back. The event went off without a hitch, the service was impeccable and the bartender was super fun to chat up. We were given a variety of items to choose from for a prix fixe dinner. My Aunt & Uncle have dined her countless times and I can see why - the food is really, truly delicious! Here's what I tried: Local Hydro Greens Salad - Shaved Fennel, Dried Cranberries, House-Made Almond Granola~ Honey Goat Cheese, Apple Vinaigrette. This salad was so refreshing and felt like a Fall dream. She Crab Soup - this was the perfect mix of savory and creamy. Pan Seared Grouper - Gulf Shrimp & Sweet Pea Risotto, Roasted Red Pepper Butter. The grouper was cooked perfectly and the risotto was really top notch too. Crème brûlée and chocolate mousse pie - I got to try bites of both of the desserts. The pie was super rich and good but could only have a few bites. I had no problem polishing off the crème brûlee. I was really blown away by the food and service - especially considering the size of our party. Can't wait to visit again on my next trip to 30A. read more

We started with the crab cake appetizer, which was a perfect portion for two people. It was basically all crab and had a delicious remoulade. Our waiter, Rich, brought out a loaf of bread with oil and balsamic and the bread was warm and soft. They offer wine by the glass, half bottle, and bottle. My husband had a half bottle of Pinot noir to pair with his Asian-style ahi tuna. He said the tuna was fresh and cooked perfectly. I went with the seared scallops with asparagus risotto. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Definitely make a reservation in advance because we weren't able to get a reservation our last 30a trip. The menu isn't huge which I actually prefer. There were multiple things on there I was interested in ordering. I ordered the Blueberry Lemonade Tini to drink which was delicious. For my entree, I ordered the Maine Lobster in Paradise which I would consider more of a lobster pasta than a lobster Mac and cheese, but regardless it was amazing and included so much lobster. My husband ordered the crab cake special entree which he also loved. I tried his and also loved that. The crab cake tasted like it had hardly any filler, the green beans were so flavorful and the mashed potatoes were perfect. I also tried my sister's curry mussels which were also amazing. I think everyone in our group loved their meals. Even though this isn't really a kids restaurant I would say they are kid friendly as long as your kids can sit good through a meal. They did give out kids menus and crayons. My kids shared the kids chicken fingers which looked like actual good chicken fingers not just the frozen kind. We were too full for dessert but I would like to try it next time. Our waitress and the service were great.
