If I could do half stars, I'd rate this 3.5 stars. It was good. The pho broth is missing the depth I've had at other places but it was still really tasty. They provided a good portion of sprouts, Thai basil, and sauce. I wish they'd provided more lime. I ordered an extra bag of condiments and I'm glad I did for the extra lime. The Banh Mi was also good. It was definitely missing that smear of pate that makes the sandwich so unctuous and delicious. The roll it was on was awesome though. I was excited to try a different Cafe Trang location in Daybreak, especially since I'm a big fan of their other spots. Overall, the food was just as good but I think it's worth noting that this location has a slightly different feel and menu execution than its fellow restaurants. The standout dish for me was definitely the Honey Glazed Pork--it was even better here than at other locations! Tender, a slightly smokey flavor, and plenty of it. However, the Teriyaki Chicken seemed to be prepared a little differently than the other locations, which was a minor disappointment. (Sauce poured on top instead of cooked in a teriyaki sauce.) The portions felt noticeably smaller than what I'm used to at other Cafe Trang restaurants but maybe the dishes were bigger? The service was truly outstanding. The staff were so friendly, welcoming everyone who walked through the door. Our food was served incredibly fast, which is perfect if you're looking for a quick and delicious meal. The place is dirty, the windows are dirty, the service is terrible, the pho is awful NO flavor. I purchased small bowl of steak pho and they put 5 pieces of meat. $22 ? Really.. The seating and tables are dirty. The floor had water all over. Please save your money and drive the 20 mins to West Valley City for the best pho. read more

It's close to home, the pho is great, if you're looking for something fast and delicious it's perfect, I just wish they included the sauces like siracha or hoisin, chili oil at the table for use, they charge you an extra $.50 for a tiny cup of sauce.... It's nice to have a pho place close to home and not have to drive 30 minutes to get a good bowl. Café Trang is in a small strip mall in suburban South Jordan, bordering Herriman. It's not the first place you'd think to find such a restaurant, but I'm glad it's here. Service is terrific-when the man behind the counter (likely the owner) learned that it was our first time, he happily oriented us with the menu and made some suggestions for my vegetarian friend. There were plenty of options to make us both happy. I enjoyed the pho with the beef broth and shrimp. The flavor was excellent without being overpowering. I appreciated having something warm on a cool spring day. They were also very accommodating and not rushing us even though we arrived about 40 minutes prior to closing time. read more

Usually really good. Ordered an iced coffee like I always do and was charged for a hot coffee instead. I asked to switch the coffee to iced but the cashier made me repurchase another $5 coffee since he had already made it rather than just charging me the dollar difference and throwing out the hot one or putting it over ice. I asked them to take it back and to give it to someone else, even if I didn't get a refund, but just kept insisting that I take the hot coffee that I didn't want. Kind of irritating that there was no resolution for my issue and didn't listen to me. Better training on customer service and recovery would be beneficial! read more

I have been a Cafe Trang supporter since the early days at the downtown location, and have seen them expand to other locations around the valley. Always fresh food, deliciously prepared, and exceptionally presented. This was my first experience at this location, and with the Bistro format. I loved the fact that I could just walk right up to the counter, order, and within minutes have the same quality of food brought to my table that I have experienced at the full service restaurant locations. I ordered the Pork Bun Bowl with egg roll (a little extra but worth it for sure). Exactly as I remember. So good. I highly recommend you give it a try when in the area. Happy eating! read more

I don't know how to say this nicely but the banh mi sandwiches were awful. The bread was good and the veggies were fresh but the meats were so bad. I ordered two banh mi, one sweet pork and one garlic steak. The cashier never asked me what sauce I wanted on my banh mi. She decided to used one that tasted super fishy and put a ton on each, two days later still have a bad aftertaste. What the h... was that? Awful! This particular location is very disappointing. I frequent it at least two or three times a month, but I am seriously about done patronizing them. Over the years they have continually reduced their hours. They are not open on Sundays. They close when they want to. They don't have a lot of the menu items available and now they have reduced their hours again but yet have not changed their signage or shut off their open sign. This is the first pho restaurant I've been to that asks the customers to tip but doesn't serve them. They yelled our name out to pick our food up and had us clean up after ourselves too. What the heck was the tip for if I'm serving myself? Portions are small. They give you one small sauce container and charge you if you want more. Not worth it, I will not be coming back. read more

Café Trang is literally my favorite restaurant I go here so much just because their food is so authentic and amazing. Even ordering the take out is good because their packaging is perfect and easy to carry out. How is the Arby's next door even in business sitting next to this place? Cafe Trang's sandwich on French bread was exceptional! Don't be a dummkopf and try to build your own sandwich because it will not be as good as theirs. Get it just the way the chef intended and you'll be very Satisfied. Perfect mix of fresh vegetables and savory meat. I got the pork. (The meat is the only thing you choose) For under 10$ you get a good quality sandwich and it was perfect for lunch. I haven't had their pho but I'm looking forward to trying it once it cools down a bit in Utah. Get the sandwich & don't change it! You'll love it.
