I tried this place after passing by it for years. I have been missing out! They have a variety of items to pick from. Anywhere from wraps, paninis, salads, bowls, etc. I tried the garlic chicken pesto panini and it was so delicious. I also ordered the chicken Cesar salad wrap but was given the wrong wrap. I wanted to say something but it was actually pretty good and they were very busy so I was considering those factors. I am so happy I tried this place and will definitely be back to try many more items. It gets pretty packed so be ready to wait especially around lunch hours. read more

I love the caramel macchiato. It has the perfect amount of caramel !!!! It's way better than Starbucks. The coffee flavor is bold and delicious. I recommend getting it hot because it intensifies the caramel flavor. read more

OK so this is a way better and more affordable Panera Bread and I can see why they're so popular. Didn't realize they were attached to the Plaza West Covina Mall but it's a great option for lunch/midday snack since the options are endless. I was craving a Caesar salad wrap and was not disappointed by their rendition of it. My husband really enjoyed his steak and mushroom panini. The ambiance is very much grab and go but they have outdoor seating and is dog friendly. Their pastries and cakes looked fantastic as well. You can't go wrong here and I wish I had a place like this near home! Service was also very personable and efficient! read more

This popped on up on FYP on TT a while ago and i've been here a handful of times. It's delicious and for the price it's amazing! The owners and staff are kind and quick with service even though there's sometimes a wait. My go to order is the Spicy California Caesar Wrap - a dupe for the viral Caesar Wrap from Ggiata. I think it's honestly better & cheaper! I got a Strawberry Cold Foam Coffee Latte. The coffee here is also good more on the sweet side. The cafe is inside/outside the mall with more seating outside but, I prefer take out. read more

I came here on Wednesday at 7:25pm and they close their kitchen at 7:30pm (mall closes at 8 pm weekdays). I absolutely love that they have a fitness section of the menu and I can say the food is delicious and also healthy. Clean and affordable foods are definitely my favorite! Muscle Bowl - It's a simple bowl coming with chicken, black beans, avocados, multi-grained rice and hummus. Perfect combo with moist and juicy chicken. This is a solid bowl to hit your macros and keep calories on the low. Love it. (4.5/5) Mass Builder Wrap - It fills you up and is pretty heavy even though its built with healthy ingredients. It's delicious and totally worth the $12. It almost was like the protein bowl put inside a burrito tortilla and pressed with a panini press. Comes with salsa and some chili sauce. It's great! (5/5) Royal Cookie - I got a cookie for free and it tasted like it was made in the morning. It was good, slightly tasting like it was getting older but can't complain when its free. Flavors were on point and it did taste a bit healthier than a regular chocolate chip cookie. Delicious. (4/5) Overall if you want healthy and tasty food this is a great spot located in the West Covina Plaza (the mall). The breakfast items look good too and will have to try that out next time around. Dude, this is insanely good salads and wraps here. You might have to wait a while for your food, as they try to serve the long line. For the price, you will be happy. I absolutely recommend the chicken caesar wrap. divine, chefs kiss, hallelujahs. As part of the mall, they have very limited seating indoors and a couple spot outside. read more

Ordered via uber eats. I ordered a steak and mushroom panini, 1/2 Asian salad, royal cookie and a side of chipotle sauce. The panini was tasty and flavorful. The salad okay. I did like how it had julienned carrots and other veg. Asian dressing was your typical Asian dressing. The cookie was a decent size and tasty. I would order again so I can try the other sandwiches. I'll probably skip the salad in the future. read more

Corey or Cory, the manager, is just an all around understanding person. I ordered from DoorDash recently and there was an item that did not have bacon listed on the description, but when I bit into it I got a mouth full of bacon. I'm Muslim and do not eat pig, so I called him up and he was genuinely apologetic and really went above and beyond. Very respectful and cares about their customers. Great food made fresh to order. Usually I get the wraps and they are delicious. The workers are attentive and fast so I never have to wait too long especially if you order ahead (which I highly recommend). This place has been my go to for months now. I never came here before as often and I can't believe how much I slept on it. I've been coming consistently now every week maybe a few times a week. They have so many delicious and healthy options. My normal go to is the chipotle chicken avocado panini which is literally a 12/10! This place is such a gem. I've been going every Saturday for the past 3 weeks now to try new items! My favorites so far are the Dragonfruit Lemonade & Hot Vanilla Latte w/ Oatmilk. They also have some homemade tasting cookies that are addictive 0.o This cafe is giving cute & cozy vibes, you're definitely lucky if you find a space inside to enjoy your items. Came for lunch today (Monday afternoon). There was a bit of a line but it moved quickly. Limited seating but if dining in, the service was so wonderful as they brought the food to our table and picked up empty plates when they could. The food was delicious! We ordered a latte which was done very quickly and exactly how I liked it. We got two paninis and a salad and they were all great. At the end, we were able to enjoy a dessert which was just the cherry on top! The workers were all very nice and service was excellent. Can't wait to come back again and try more of the food - definitely recommend this place to everybody. read more

Caramel toffee iced coffee 10/10 Cheesecake brownie and caramel 4/10 because the slice is on ozempic idk why it's so thin for the price is craaazy Spicy Caesar wrap 1/10 it is not good guys, the one from berry toasty in Baldwin park is waaaaay better. I arrived Sunday waited 20 min in a long line and 15 min after I had all my Food and drinks so it's not too much of a wait. cafe Valer is currently my new food/Panini obsession. I've only done takeout from here twice, but both of my experiences were so positive that I felt the need to write a review for this hidden gem. It's located inside the West Covina Mall. I've ordered the chicken buffalo Panini and the jalapeño sirloin steak Panini. Both were so flavorful and made to perfection. The flavor in both of the Panini's were so well balanced, and in every bite there was an equal amount of chicken veggies and cheese (same with the sirloin steak Panini - each bite had a perfect well balanced bite of steak, cheese, and all the other yummy ingredients within). I think this place is so delicious - it might have ruined all other Panini places for me. 10/10 would 100% come again. read more

I discovered cafe valer earlier this year and LEMME TELL U it is delicious. I've repeatedly gotten their spicy chicken cesar salad spinach wrap. it's not too saucey (you can get the buffalo sauce on the side too) and it's perfectly stuffed with chicken and lettuce. i've also gotten the wrap that had bacon and avacado (i think) in it. And the garlic chicken pesto panini my sister loves. Can't wait to go back and get into their drinks, however their food always has my heart. This place deserves all the love ! read more

I was visiting this area for work, and this spot at the mall was highly recommended. Apparently it blew up as a hidden gem on TikTok recently...which does explain the wait time. Everyone was nice. The cashier answered my few questions. I went at 1:30p, which is late lunch imo. They were not understaffed, but the staff lacked a sense of urgency. After a 25 minute wait, I got my sandwich; I did not have time to snap a picture bc I had 5 minutes left of my break. Now every single beverage was quick, fast, ready!!!! It's a small spot at a mall, so my expectations were as expected! Clean space, minimal seating, but the outside area is nice. My turkey, spinach, and avocado sandwich was yummy. Wow I love this place. I got a half order of the salad and it was delicious. The chicken was moist and each lettuce leaves were covered in dressing which made it easy to eat since you don't need to mix it. My so got the spicy chicken Cesar wrap which was also delicious. The food came out pretty quick even though there was a good amount of people. The seating onside was limited so we sat outside. Overall definitely coming back here again! read more

Years ago when they first opened, I used to work in one of the nearby shops and people that were so kind and reall I used to genuinely care about and support this business, but the customer service has steadily declined. Today, I walked in with my service animal. As soon as we entered, he lay down because it was extremely hot outside. Like most dogs, he was curious about the smells around him, but he remained calm and under control. The employees at the front asked whether he was a service animal, and I told them that he was. While I was trying to place my order on the tablet, no one offered to help me. My dog walked a few steps away from me while still attached to his leash. There were no other customers in the shop. One of the employees told me that if my dog continued to pull against the leash, she would have to ask me to leave. After noticing my reaction, she quietly added that I could leave him outside. I simply replied, "No, thank you," and walked out. I understand the importance of maintaining health and safety standards and following company policies, but the way this situation was handled felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. My dog was not bothering anyone, and there wasn't a single customer in the store. Businesses should also understand that service animals are protected under the law and generally cannot be excluded simply because they are present. A service animal must be under the handler's control, but asking someone to leave under these circumstances was disappointing. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

I recently visited Cafe Valer, and it was an exceptional experience. The staff and owner were incredibly kind, making the atmosphere warm and inviting. The panini sandwiches were a highlight--possibly the best I've ever had. The coffee had a delightful roasted flavor, and the smoothie was a burst of delicious, natural flavors without any overwhelming added sugars. Even the vegetarian sandwich was a delightful surprise. I was quite disappointed with my recent dining experience. The food was only halfway decent, but what really let me down was when I requested lemonade without ice. Instead of receiving a full glass, they only filled it about three-quarters of the way. It felt like they were skimping on the drink just because I asked for no ice. On top of that, there was no seating available inside, so we had to sit outside. Unfortunately, we were bitten by bugs while sitting on the patio, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. There was one time our meal wasn't up to par (they have great standards because the food is always so good and well portioned) We mentioned our issue to an employee who had their manager come to our table and talk about what was wrong. Technically, that is correct, but also not totally so. You see, most of the breakfast items are made in tiny little ovens and a grill, both of which look kind of beat up. The place wasn't dirty at all, but it felt kind of run down. It's just the vibe I was getting. The two women handling service and cooking were pleasant enough. They were friendly and eager to please. Sadly, the food didn't please me. I was warned that due to their location next to a Starbucks, they contractually in their lease cannot foam their milk, so the lattes are not lattes and they have no cappuccino. The brown sugar "latte" I got was okay, though, even if it was just sweetened coffee. The food, however, wasn't my cup of tea. On Yelp, the waffles look like two mini waffles with berries and powdered sugar. That might've been how it was once made, but not anymore. Now it is drenched in cookie butter (which is just like a caramel syrup) and then topped with the berries. It is just too sweet for my tastes. It also doesn't help that they only have plastic disposable cutlery which can barely saw through the waffle, making for an awkward dining experience. The biggest problems were the sides. The potatoes were an extremely skimpy portion and didn't taste all that great. The bacon smelled terrible when they made it in a pan in a broiler. It smelled rancid. It didn't taste much better, and I ended up getting sick and feeling queasy most of the rest of the day. I wish I had liked it more. I know Yelp recently did an Elite event here, and I wish I had been chosen for that so I could've saved my own money. Sadly, while I'd like to be able to recommend the place for the nice owners / workers, I cannot. The food is subpar, I cannot recommend, and I really doubt I'd come back. Sorry, but that's my opinion.

I felt my fingers jitter throughout the day as the sugar and THREE SHOTS of espresso slammed into me. YUM! On ambiance, Bake Sale Cafe (Azusa) is very clean and adorable with its light pastel colors. There's about five tables and two counters. And there's a high chair for kids & a water station. Bake Sale Cafe (Azusa) also has utility. This is a great, hidden spot to study. There's about five electrical outlets with big adapters for extra slots and USB ports. There's customer internet with password; there's also a QR code that customers can scan for internet information. Also, there's a gender neutral customer restroom just outside; customers must ask Staff for the restroom keys. The location is very clean and comfortable. Overall, Bake Sale Cafe (Azusa) is a literal hidden gem. Despite the bad visibility, there's visible passion and effort at this business. If curious, this is a very easy recommendation. 4.8 out of 5

Something about it just tasted off. And my fiancé's mocha was just okay. The experience itself was good, staff was friendly. There's no seating or tables inside so less of a coffee shop experience and more casual grab and go.
