I had been wanting to try this place for a while for their signature pink tacos. Finally had the chance to stop by and let me tell you I was not disappointed. I ordered three tacos. I got one potato and egg, one chorizo and egg, and one spicy beef. Although all their tacos were good, my favorite was the spicy beef taco! I found it to be super flavorful and delicious. My friend got tostadas and she gave me one to try and it was spectacular. To drink I had their cold brew coffee and it was nice and strong. The service was friendly and the place was cute, with a nice flower wall. ***One thing I was very annoyed by was the parking situation. Parking is free for two hours but you do get a ticket on your car anyway and then you have to go back inside for them to comp it. It's a weird system. Great addition to the magnolia area! Went to cafecito for lunch and had their lunch tacos. We were promptly greeted by our server once we sat down and he did an amazing job checking in on us and making sure everything was good. The pink tortillas on the tacos were warm, super soft, and delicious; they also did not skimp out on the filling which was great. I do wish they offered toppings for the tacos like onions, cilantro or lime but I was able to ask for those and our server promptly delivered. Ok I now understand all of the hype. First the place is super cute. We got to enjoy the patio. Second I might have found my new favorite drink. Picosa y Peligrosa was a cocktail made with tequila, OJ, lime juice and who would have thought CLAMATO! I had the burrito con carne y Chile verde. Me and my party went to cafecito to celebrate a birthday, to begin with- the hosts are glaring and don't give any sort of welcoming vibe or hospitality ( except for maybe 1 ). Since I'm in the service industry I didn't care as they're young girls and moved on. I will say, the building is super cute! The bathroom is cute! The scenery is perfect for pictures & the coffee & espresso martini was 10/10! Especially the abuelita coffee. But as we are served our lunch majority of plates are cold & honestly only the men were able to eat their food. I personally got the spaghetti & Milanese, and was highly disappointed:( the ratio was like 30/70 & the pasta was mushy and literally falls apart. I'm not one to complain like this bc again I work in the industry and understand many things but to add bad food on bad hospitality ( with exception slightly to our server... kinda ) is just unacceptable especially when it's on the pricier side for brunch/lunch. I guess the new space still isn't big enough, but the food is awesome and not too overly priced for the Magnolia neighborhood ingredients seem really good. They're known for their pink corn tortillas tacos are a little pricey at $5:50 each, but I love the jalapeño creama salsa that comes with it and the orange taco sauce they give sometimes. Excellent coffee drinks and friendly wait staff who are very attentive! I still want to try more items here, but I don't really think any of the tacos are my top spot in Fort Worth (for good reason). I haven't found my favorite food item here yet, but all of the other qualities of this restaurant give it five stars! I would say it's more of a breakfast place so consider that it closes midday and opens early! read more

I did a to-go order for breakfast tacos. The order was $30 for 5 tacos, and 3/5 of them were incorrect. And they were basic. Like "bacon egg and cheese, add potatoes" nothing complex. The hostess did a pretty good job putting the order in, but she added an extra side of potatoes to my order which I didn't realize- I just paid for it. (I asked to add potatoes to the taco, and she did enter that- but also added a side of potatoes I did not ask for. And then no taco had potatoes in it.) And the eggs were overcooked, so they had a rubbery texture and it wasn't the bacon. This is one of the only one star reviews I have ever left a restaurant. Food was alright but lacking. Tinga chicken was sweet and swamping over the tostada, which made it hard to eat, and... just all in the wrong proportions. We had to wait a very long time for our server to come back around to our table for the check once we were finished. When she came back, She asked that we all pay our separate checks that were handed to us via the QR code. I was able to immediately pay with Apple Pay via my phone. The cost was high on my bill, but I shrugged it off, paid it, left a tip. She came out to say I had not paid my bill (I showed her on my phone the receipt and opened my bank app to show her it was pending) and she told me I could not leave until I spoke to her manager. The manager came out and said I had not paid. I re-scanned the receipt and it showed that it was paid. Showed my bank statement and the paid screen again. $28 and some change for 2 tostadas and a coffee. (Again, thought it was high, but I was late for an appointment and needed to get out of there) She asked to see the receipt and realized that the system charged me for the wrong items and I was overcharged by around $10. I have no idea how it happened but by that time, many tables were looking at me as though I was trying to walk out on a check. She told me she didn't want me to leave until they got it properly charged but by that time, all of my friends had gone out. I was incredibly embarrassed and frustrated by this- I was already late bringing for an appointment because of the wait on the checks and being basically accused of stealing was the WORST. I told her that I didn't care that I was overcharged, I just needed to leave and this was horribly overwhelming. I left my name and phone number and told her we could figure it out later in the day but I was embarrassed, frustrated and almost in tears. She did not call. I was still overcharged. Husband had the 2 (pictured) tacos and I had the burrito (vegan style, which was a nice offering). All had very good flavor. The pink corn tortillas on the tacos were fun. My husband said he would get a burrito next time since the filling was significantly more and basically the same as 2 tacos, which the filling was rather sparse. When we left, we got an iced Mexican coffee. Served in a cute glass bottle lightly sweetened with cinnamon. The amount of cinnamon was a bit much for Me but over all good. At $8.50, it's a bit pricey, but you get to keep the glass bottle. Will definitely return. PS Pendery's is just up the street if you need herbs & spices---check them out. Bestie took me on a tour of Ft Worth. First stop was breakfast and Cafecito was our choice. We started with cafe de olla and carajillo. Cafe de olla had the perfect amount of cinnamon. I would've loved it a little sweeter so you may want to ask for sweetner. Carajillo was iced, good but more bitters than I prefer. Next was the our meals, chilaquiles verde for me and rojo for my bestie. Loved the fresh chips and the barbacoa was tasty and not greasy at all. Eggs over medium were cooked to perfection. Visited recently on a Sunday when we were in town. This place was packed before we got there and when we left and for good reason. Got the pastries for the table which were a subtle sweet treat that we enjoyed. Wife got some breakfast tacos and added egg while I went with a chorizo, potato, and egg burrito. We also tried the vanilla lattes despite being kind of coffee snobs who typically just prefer coffee forward drinks without flavoring. Everything about the experience was great and I get why they're crowded. Parking can be a challenge and if you're bringing a big group that might turn into a long wait time but I would for sure recommend this place for brunch. read more

First off, how fun is the pink corn tortilla?! So cute! I believe this place started off as a food truck and recently replaced the burning mouth place in the little food court! Seating is spacious as it's in the court with sharetea and oberhere! The menu is in Spanish but pretty self explanatory, you can always ask the cashier for any questions! I had the barbacoa taco and chorizo con huevos which were great. I really liked the sauces provided with the tacos and they were definitely a decent size! Give it a chance, I think I had an isolated experience. The food stall on 8th and magnolia is pretty decent so I was excited to support the new opening of their restaurant. The wait was long and organized but I was happy they had a line. The interior was very pink and trendy like a hipster hello kitty vomited on the walls. In a good way. Good space with plenty of seating, our server was very nice though she was very forgetful and messed up each order. We sat down and ordered our latte assortment. They were mostly good but that's just based on preference . Our server messed up an order but no biggie it happens. We ordered food and she almost dropped the menudo, had avocado on the order that requested none, and gave us the wrong burrito. I don't mean to be harsh but the beans tasted canned, and the menudo was flavorless. As a Mexican going to Mexican food restaurant I expect you to at least get the beans right. The menudo is something I wouldn't place in front of someone but I know that's a hard one for restaurants. The bathrooms don't lock and aren't labeled so it's like a fun twist like a reverse escape room. In classic Hispanic manner I didn't complain or send anything back. (Mom are you proud?) The glasses used for the water smelled. Maybe they just rushed to open. This is why you have soft openings. Not even the water was pleasant. The chilaquiles were mid. I will return for the coffee and a taco to go. Seriously the cafe de olla cold brew was bomb but pricey. The food also makes for a good picture. It's very photogenic so they nailed that. read more

Wow! These have to be some of the best breakfast tacos in Fort Worth. They use fresh handmade tortillas that are absolutely delicious. I normally do not like corn tortillas, they tend to be really dry. These were so good! They were soft and had a great consistency! The chips and salsa were fantastic as well. Breakfast tacos, breakfast burritos, sincronizada (quesadilla), and mollete. Mollete is an open faced torta. That's what I got with a choice of as is, barbacoa, or brisket. It was really good. Flavorful. I really liked both salsas. It came with onions, cilantro, meat, avocado, and beans. I liked it, but I don't think I would get it again. The brisket burrito had good taste but needed salt and the amount of salsa they give doesn't even cover half of the burrito.
