Recommended by my good friend and makeup artist time and time again I finally had to give it a shot! I ordered the barbacoa tacos, brisket tacos and café de olla. My co-workers ordered breakfast taco (chorizo) and more of the same taquitos. My barbacoa was to die for! The freshly made flour tortillas really steal the show here. My brisket was a little dry for my taste but my coworker loved it so that is completely a preference thing. Cafe de olla is coffee with spices like Piloncillo and cinnamon sticks and it always feels like a hug to me. It's hard to come by to I will be making regular coffee stops here for it. My biggest recommendation would be to offer a larger size for the cafecito apart from the small because the small is about 6oz small and I was done with it before I arrived at the office! It's so good!! I'm excited to go back and try the rest of the items on the menu. Note*** the menu can change sometimes- today they did not have the sandwich mañanero so be kind and mindful that sometimes they might not have it** I am following them on social media and they do post that they sell out pretty early so get there early if you want to secure a bite! read more

I drove with my wife around 20 minutes to support the grand opening, only to wait 30 minutes inside just to be put on the waitlist. After finally they put us to wait on the patio with my dog, I was then told after almost an hour of waiting that no servers were working the patio. The place was not even packed, and yet they couldn't be bothered to send a waiter outside. On top of that, the owner was incredibly disrespectful and didn't make any effort to accommodate me. This restaurant is located in the Funky Town Food Court. It took a while to find but it was worth it. This place is located next to a couple of other spots inside the same space. There is no decor or atmosphere other than a lot of flowers attached to a wall and there are a limited number of tables and chairs. You order and pay at the counter and they bring your food to you when ready. I had the chorizo and egg burrito which was piled inside a homemade flour tortilla. This was a large, excellent and filling burrito. I also had some of their handmade chips and fresh salsa. I tried the tostadas as is on the menu, with no added meat. The tostada shell was also handmade and fresh. It had refried beans, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Fresh avocado was sliced and placed on the side. It was great! They make tamales for preorder and I must say the food was fresh, different, and wonderful. I noticed there were no greasy plates after we inhaled our food. The people behind the counter were very nice and helpful. I just ate here yesterday and I'm going back today. This is one of my new favorite places! read more

Nope. Honestly I like that it's handmade tortillas. But places that make handmade tortillas aren't charging $3.50 for a tiny taco. They're smaller than a normal breakfast taco you can get anywhere else. When my sister I and I got there around 10am they had told us that they ran out of beans and barbacoa. I was already disappointed. I was like okay no worries I'll get brisket. Nope it was dry and did not have flavor. My sister ordered a ham and egg burrito. But it's weird that it didn't have cheese? For the price she paid for the burrito was tiny too. And she said it lacked flavor. How does one mess up a ham breakfast burrito. They're nice people and salsas were okay, you get very small salsas. The folks/service here are so nice and super helpful. The food is delicious, coffee was hot and tasty! We also decided to order two cafe de olla cold brew lattes to go. The glass containers are super cute and the coffee is equally as good as the hot coffees. I am so glad they've opened up a permanent location as they started out with the food truck. They validate parking and have the QR code at the front. If you have diaper age kids you'll have to change them elsewhere because the restrooms don't have the changing thingy. The food was good and coffee was good as well, the tacos had a good amount of food, but are regular size. Service wasn't great even though we arrived before it was busy. I understand sometimes we have bad days or whatever, but nobody greeted us nor smiled as courtesy while we were there, it didn't feel welcoming, but awkward while placing our order and when letting them know they gave us the wrong order. Our order, along with many others was wrong twice. When we let them know, the girl gave us a look and said nothing, although her face said it all. I had the Tinga de Torta (Chicken Tinga Torta) at their Funky Town Food Hall location (I believe they have a food truck as well). It was absolutely amazing, so delicious I can't sing its praises enough. The staff was really friendly and put a smile on my face. Ambiance was fine, its in a food hall, so its not really within the business' control. However, this did not affect my enjoyment at all. This is my new go-to lunch spot.
