"Run For Lov" Tea (Hot) - I really like it! Very fruity. Avocado Smoothie - Same avocado smoothie you'd get anywhere else. If you're craving an avocado smoothie, then this one's for you. Shakerato - This drink is claimed to be the strongest caffeine drink, but I'd add an extra espresso shot.. or two. I was lured here by all the rave reviews about this being the perfect study spot; maybe my expectations were too high but I think it was pretty mediocre? The interior is cute but small and the low ceilings give a sort of stuffy vibe. Perhaps I would've had a better experience had I come on a weekday as it took a while to snag a free table when I came around Saturday 2pm, and the unexpected crowd definitely put a damper on my planned grind time. The menu is on the pricier side, but I got the Seoul drink which was their cheapest item for a little under $5 with tax. The clear mug it came with for dine-in orders was very cute and matched their aesthetic interior. The drink itself was pleasant but nothing too notable. Great spot to either study/read alone or catch up with someone. Plenty of restrooms and easy parking. The seating is a problem. My wife and I got there and no seat was available. Every seat was taken, but about 90% of the people there were on their laptops not eating not drinking. Perched in an unlikely spot as one of the street-level businesses under an apartment complex on the corner of Tasman and Zanker, Caffe Bene is an unusual gem among chain coffee shops. The atmosphere is post modern, mixed materials with a one wooden wall having the business name and city branded into the wall. The corner space affords lots of light and a cheerful ambience for the consumption of tasty food and drinks. We have tried the Mushroom and Cheese Croissant, the fruit and yogurt bowl, Portabello Sandwich, and all were excellent with the Mushroom and Cheese Croissant being my fave. The Lavender Latte is our favorite of the drinks we've tried, with the Rose Lychee Tea a close second. We have also tried the Mocah Frappucino and the Cafe Saigon, both excellent. Service is not the fastest, but all the drinks and food are made to order. I've never seen Caffe Bene very busy, which is surprising considering how great it is. We visit every morning that we can when we are in San Jose. Highly recommended. read more

I have been here twice now & my first experience was better than my second which is the reason for 4 stars and not 5. This time I got their specialty drink which was a Seoul Latte, the latte was pretty good and it came with non-dairy creamer which is nice plus for my dairy-sensitive folks. I also got a portobello and cheese sandwich which was average, but not in a bad way. Oddly the mushrooms in the sandwich were cold even though everything else in the sandwich was warm. It wasn't a deal breaker because the overall sandwich was enjoyable; I guess it was just confusing, lol. Atmosphere is good for studying, the music was chill and there are plenty of outlets if you can snag a seat near one. The employees are very nice as well! There were a lot of focused students and I was able to get a lot of work done pretty quickly. We had the americano and misugaru smoothie (with reduced sugar). Both drinks were just ok. I felt like the americano was a bit more watered down than I'm used to. There were a few tables available when we came in but they all filled pretty quickly. Caffe Bene is one of my go-to study spots in the San Jose area. It is very spacious, with lots of seats, and very clean! They have a variety of coffee, tea, smoothies, sandwiches, and cakes! I like the taste for most of their drinks and food, however, I think everything here is on the pricer side. For a cup of iced tea (tea bag ones) is about $5, and their sandwiches are fairly small. Overall, the staff here are always very welcoming and friendly, and I'd definitely return! Tip: there is a parking lot in the back, shared with the residential parking, and they do have free wifi but the wifi passwords change daily. read more

Definitely a nice spot to just chill with friends or to do some work. Other than that there's nothing good about this place. The coffee and pastries sucks big time! I ordered the hot matcha latte, cafe oats Pareto and the strawberry honey toast. Let me you, the matcha latte was cold with a dolloped of foam that looks a piece of shit! The latte is so watered down that you can barely taste the matcha. The oak presrto was the biggest scam! On the menu, it shows a picture of the drink in a tall glass, but when we received the drink it was in a short tiny mug glass!! When I confronted the guy at the cashier about the drink, he couldn't explained the rationale difference between the menu picture and the actual size of the drink. All he can say is that they only have the small glass mug! Don't ever order this drink. It a totally a ripped off!! Lastly, the strawberry honey toast was stale and dry. It was so bad that we could finish it. Oh the strawberry toast cost $13!! Totally not worth it. I will never ever come back here again!! read more

Here on a Sunday at 3pm, sitting here writing this. The parking was pretty easy, it's inside of the building but there were a good number of spots and it's free. It was so crowded I could barely get a seat at first but after about an hour a couple groups left, overhead people saying it gets this busy sometimes tho. The seats are also uncomfortable wooden seats. There's about 5 tables outside, 2 aren't in the shade. The interior is really nice, ambiance is chill from Korean music playing (not loud) and not too much sounds from the drink making. The wifi is solid. There's outlets along the wall but not that many. Most people who aren't actively drinking are actually wearing masks but the tables are pretty close together if that's a concern for you. I ordered the strawberry mojito. It's really not that minty, limey or sweet so not a big fan. It's really just unflavored club soda with strawberries. Muddling the mint with my straw helped a bit since there was otherwise no mint flavor. Could've asked for more simple syrup or something but the workers were really busy. Hopefully they get more staff soon. The cakes and pastries look good but $6 for a small mojito was definitely not the move. Recommend to try their other drinks if you check them out. read more

Wow I really love the location, plenty of parking and the inside is really cute. The ordering was a slow process but the customer service was great. They look like they have lots of yummy food which we didn't get to try because we were saving ourselves for brunch. Hubby ordered the Cafe Saigon which I didn't like but he did. I ordered the mojito which I could hardly drink, it was not good. I'm not sure what it was but I was thinking the Philz mojito which is amazing and this was not it. My kids pointed out that when going to a Korean cafe I should be ordering Korean drinks so I'll own that. One thing I really didn't like was how they pack the tables together. We were trapped in our interior table by the middle tables making it impossible to get out without hitting or bumping someone. Especially in these covid times they should remove a row of tables. Also plugs are in high demand and short supply. My hubby had to stop working because there were no outlets and he needed power.
