So, I love this place. I really love it, but the last few times I got to Work pulled out my order and it's wrong! Like not made the wrong sandwich, but they made the sandwiches the wrong way. I order the portabella mushroom and they put peppered sprouts, this sandwich doesn't come with those and they left off the sauce they usually use. This has happened 3 times now. Today they did it again and my husband ordered the sandwich and asked for no sprouts and no spinach, so they made it with nothing except meat. Okay, I read the reviews before I came in and knew the wifi was going to be slow, but slow is an understatement. The wifi here is almost non-existent with how slow it is. I think I could run across the street to my house and load a page faster than the wifi in shop would load a page for me. Are you guys still using dial up from the 90s?! What is going on haha. They have a sign saying faster wifi is coming.... Please update me when that comes true! The coffee was good and the shop is perfect if you're looking for somewhere quiet to study. The music is extremely soft and the shop is usually pretty empty. I would only come here if you have your own hot spot, or you're coming here specifically to get away from the greatest distraction of all time, the internet. Firstly I would like to say that I used to love this coffee shop. Since I discovered it a month ago I have gone in several times. Pros The drinks were great until today. I usually order the milk tea or taro bubble tea latte hot and I really enjoyed it. Clean Cons Parking spaces are limited Not many charging ports in the middle comfortable area. Tried 6 cakes In this place and none of them tasted good. Tried the spicy chicken sandwich and it was absolutely disgusting. I don't know what sort of meat was used but it was rubbery and hard it seemed uncooked. I couldn't even bite the piece off. When I spoke to the owner he was not even interested in what I was saying. He just looked at me for a while before he said "well you can choose another sandwich from the menu. I don't know what else you want" I told him that even the mushrooms in the portobello sandwich were not cooked so I don't want a sandwich. After much hesitation he gave me a refund. I love this place! Very cozy, perfect for studying or casual dates. The caramel cinnamon block toast is to die for, it's so gooey and decadent. The staff is friendly and informative, and the selection of snacks and sweets is enormous. If you want to get something instagram-worthy, try one of their skyscraper-tall shaved ice desserts. Looked very miserable to work, or give me service. Latte had no design/art and was mediocre at best. I came here specifically because it's open late, has wifi, and has tons of cute waffles and drinks. The store itself has a great cafe set up and the seating is very comfortable so if you're going to be here for a while, you'll be fine. Plenty of outlets to plug into. Also, the wifi is pretty slow, but I did see a sign saying high speed wifi coming soon. My friend got a mojito (mocktail) and loved it! I tried a mango passion fruit smoothie and was slightly disappointed. Typically, every mango smoothie I've tried has been sweet and refreshing. Unfortunately, this one was quite bitter. I took my drink back to the counter and the girl working there informed me that think drink wasn't supposed to be sweet. I guess it was my bad for assuming . I asked her if there was anything she could do to make it sweeter so she added a few pumps of syrup. It helped a little but I don't think I'll be ordering that anytime soon! I just looked up "Late Night Study Places" and this place popped up. It is a little ways from my house but I now come more often. I love the fact Monday-Saturday they close until 12am and Sunday it is til 11pm which still isn't bad. When I work I usually close (9pm-10pm) and Starbucks near by closes pretty early. If you're a late night study time of person and need somewhere to study this is the place. It is nice and clean there is good amount of seating compared to Starbucks. The staff are just okay. They don't really talk much also the last time I went I waited about 10 min to take my order even though I was the only one in line and there were 2 people behind the counter making drinks (I understand that one was training) but still kind of frustrating. You must buy something to seat here and some things seem a little overpriced. Tip: that is also how you get your password to the WiFi at the end of your receipt. But I love the fact it is clean and they play really good music time to time depending on who is on the Bluetooth. The bathrooms are really clean too which I was really impressed. I literally come here 3-5 times a week just to study and stay focus. Just wish the workers have better customer service rather than that everything is great! read more

My true gripe is the coffee drinks are almost $5 each and they are pretty bad. My cafe Saigon didn't taste anything like a Vietnamese coffee. It tasted like coffee flavored milk. It was ever lighter than a latte. Like seriously? And the mint mojito had a good mint flavor but it was soooooo overwhelmingly sweet. We threw away both drinks after a couple sips. A waste of $10. Cafe bene is a great spot, I especially like the fact that they are open until midnight, its great for college students. The only gripe I have with this place is that the majority of the individual chairs they have are not exactly made for tall people, only the big communal table in the back is caters to taller people but it is often the first thing to get occupied. I was excited to go here since the Cafe Bene in Gardena has closed. I went there around 8pm on Wednesday and it was easy to find seats. It's clean and spacious, and staff were friendly enough. This place is mainly for drinks and some sweet. They do have some non-sweet dishes such as sandwich or mac and cheese but food menu is way too limited to my liking. I ordered Portabella Sandwich and it tasted good! The flavor of slightly sweet Balsamic vinegar makes perfect cause for sandwich. Also their WiFi signal was very weak. We switched around seats to look for stronger signal in vain. If you are looking to work online, do not go there. But if you want just a place to hang out with friends late at night. This place is definitely a 5 star for ambiance. It's so pretty in there and super therapeutic. There were tons of Asian girls studying, so if you're single, come on over and have a study session here. I was surprised at how quiet it was, but again, there were tons of students around me and they weren't there to talk story. I thought i'd hear them talk but it was as if they were in another room! The semi-dilapidated plaza just raised it's average value with the presence of Caffe Bene. For my first visit, I got the green tea latte. It was good but so is Coffee Bean's green tea latte but the latter is a dollar cheaper. For my second visit, I got a misootgaru smoothie (small), which was $5 and that was totally worth it. I've tasted many different kinds of misootgaru, and their's is very flavorful and earthy. Loved it. My sister thought the coffee was good.(under $2) but both of us thought the bread toast with caramel and whipped cream was below basic. It tasted like a thick piece of bread that you can buy at 85 degrees toasted with some caramel and whipped cream on top. Nothing special. I thought it would taste more like the Taiwanese brick toast, which is a game changer. Stick to the misootgaru smoothie though! It's the bomb! I'd compare this place to a coffee-spa joint. When you go to the spa, you go there to relax and bathe in a beautiful ambiance that makes you stick around for a while. Parking here sucks, service here sucks, and over priced for almost everything. I think a bottle of water here is 3.75$, its like your paying amusement park prices for some of these things. However, the mojitos here are good, i like all of them and dont really have a preference over which one is better. I like their green tea late which was good. I did have a bad experience here one day, you must pay to sit down apparently. I had just arrived and was settling in 2 minutes later a worker comes up to me and tells me you must order or you have to leave its their policy. I guess im not the first one but, that made me not want to come back. The owner is always walking around just staring at people which makes it uncomfortable because it seems like hes going to say something. Im not sure if he even speaks English but you will see him. I've booked mark this place and was so excited to try their desserts. I love carbs, so I got the banana walnut toast and the green tea crepe cake to take home to eat. (I needed some privacy with my desserts to truly immerse myself in this experience). I can totally imagine eating the toast daily with a cup of coffee. It's just sweet enough but not so sweet it's nauseating. The crepe cake was good but I'm not a huge crepe fan so hubby ate this. The reason for one less star is for the price. It's pricey so this is definitely for when I treat myself, but I will be back to try more items off their menu. read more

The manager's wife was nice enough to ask people to give us a table. I felt generous and decided to buy something for myself because of how nice she was to me. We were studying for about an hour when one of the workers came up to us. She asked if each of us had bought something because the manager (the husband) is asking. We said "yes, we bought something." The employee then said " the manager (the husband) is asking for everyone to buy something or you guys can't study there." Because of this incident, we're never going to study there again.
