Classico Panini - Sliced chicken breast, salami, prosciutto, red onion, Pepperoncini & Provolone
Joseph P.

I've lived in the valley for years and have known about this restaurant for just as long, but for some reason never tried it until now. They say to save the best for last, and this might be one of those times. Tucked away on a corner, it truly feels like a hidden gem. Walking in--true to my habit of being the first customer of the day--I was greeted right away and told my group of five could sit anywhere. I usually skip booths, but they had a nice table-and-chair booth setup that won me over. From the start, we felt right at home, with a friendly, knowledgeable waiter who knew the menu inside and out. The chef and owner even came out to make sure everything was perfect--those little touches don't go unnoticed. I ordered the following: Classico Panini - With Small House Salad - A++++

Side Sauteed Shrimp
Ta'keisha R.

Loved this place and am planning on returning soon. Met up with my bestie and had wine and food. Their house Sauvignon is tasty. We also had the shrimp, garlic bread and fries. Looking forward to my next visit.

The atmosphere is very pleasant while the bread was served complimentary and warm! And the delicious creamy butter was amazing! We ordered lobster ravioli, Chianti braised pasta, deeelic! See pics. Our first time and we will be back!

Food was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the patio. The misters made it nice as well as the music. Great place in Ahwatukee.

Caramelized Creme Brulee
Aja H.

Who doesn't love Creme brûlée?!? My husband found this place as he knows my obsession with creme brûlée. This was by far one of the best I've ever had. So smooth, creamy and silky. Just enough sweetness with the berries balancing out the texture. The sugar topping is crisped to perfection to where the custard is still cold underneath. Definitely a ten out of a ten. My husband got the butter cake and loved it. The texture was spot on with a great richness. The staff is super sweet and makes you feel like a long time customer. I should be ashamed of myself as I had their creme brûlée three times in the course of one week. The inside smells so good and the next time I'll have to try their food. I just know it will not disappoint! Definitely give this place a try as you will not be disappointed. Oh, and the live music is everything!

Chocolate Martini!!!
Sierra S.

Stopped in and had the best Chocolate martini I've had since 2010. The recent run on espresso martinis made me miss her distant creamy millennial cousin; the timeless chocolate martini. Found this spot doing a Google search on chocolate martinis (oblig lol). Winner...10/10...would drink again.

I visited the restaurant for the first time on Mother's Day with my mom and we had the loveliest time. The service was excellent, the ambiance was so nice with acoustic live music that created the best vibe. We loved the food too, we ordered the Italian chopped salad and it was great along with plenty of delicious freshly baked bread. For dinner, we ordered the Butternut Squash Sacchetti pasta with frangelico cream sauce and almond dust, and it was delicious. But the dish you must try here is the Mafalde Norcina - a ruffled ribbon pasta with wild mushroom, sausage ragu and truffle cream. This dish was so packed with flavor, I finished every last bite and it's a really good size portion. There's a nice large bar and bar area along with plenty of parking. Stop what you're doing and go today!

My two favorite dishes that never miss are the Lasagna and the Chicken Parm. Like clockwork, it has always been impeccable. Sadly my most recent experience will likely be my last experience. I ordered the Chicken Parm and when it came out there was something missing from my plate. Instead of the usual Rigatoni Pasta with Vodka Sauce there were a couple of stale chunks of potatoes and some sorry looking asparagus spears. I asked the bartender where is the pasta. She responded that it no longer comes with pasta and that I could order some at an additional charge. It was at that moment that I knew I would never return again. Never in my entire life have I ever ordered Chicken Parm at an Italian Restaurant and not have it come with pasta. That is like ordering a hamburger and it doesn't come with a bun. Then they tell you that you are more than welcome to order a bun at an additional cost. It was like the ultimate slap in the face. I understand that businesses are under financial pressure in these tough times. I can assure you though that this restaurant does not suffer from this fate. There is simply zero excuse for this type of behavior from ownership. Their meals are already priced near the top of the market here in Scottsdale, and rightfully so as their food is top tier. But to raise prices and then remove a staple item off of the menu is asinine. Again, I really do not like writing negative reviews for businesses because I am a fellow business owner as well. However the consumer in me cannot stand for this type of treachery. I am sick and tired of paying more and getting less. This is not meant to deter others from experiencing this place. It is meant to let management that loyal customers are dissatisfied with their business practices. Finally, I am not a cheapskate either. I always tip at least 30% which is way above the average. I am not tone-deaf, I sympathize with restaurant staff and wage gaps so every little bit helps in the service industry.

Amazing, unique experience!…read more I arrived with the preconceived ideas about being jostled in long lines in a poorly cooled pizza joint, sitting in a crowded restaurant at plastic tables eating plastic food. That misconception disappeared immediately upon stepping through the doorway. Warm, inviting ambiance, full of character. Attending the birthday celebration for an esteemed young man, our table wasn't ready (we were early) and the hostess offered us seats at the bar while awaiting our party. We each had a wine spritzer... may I say that the very few such concoctions I've had bearing that name didn't do justice to what we were served. I've never had anything like this, a "Sgroppino" (I'm partial to strawberry!) and it was perhaps the best adult beverage I've had in a very long time. Many different nuances in a glass. Stunning subtle, many diverse flavors. Mmm. Our bartender was an artist of the mixed adult beverage, a delightful individual with a warm, genuine smile and an encyclopedic knowledge of how to do his job expertly. Rare that you meet someone like this who isn't all measuring cups and shot glasses: everything he concocted was done by eye, and judging by what he made for us, his expertise was immediately apparent. Ben fatto. È andata benissimo, brava. When we'd all arrived, we were escorted to the "garden shed"... a smaller out-building filled with racks of wine, perhaps an ideal place for small wedding receptions or engagement parties. Well-cooled despite our broiling Phoenix evening. We had the garlic bread; someone ordered IL Tagliere, Calamari (no, thank you), and a basket of bread. You know how you go to a hamburger joint and what you're served looks nothing like the photos of their menu? Go to CiBO's web site and look at their menu: What you see in their photos is what you get. One visit and next time you look at their menu online, you'll salivate. Yes, the food is that good. I ordered the calzone. Delicious. Getting through it wasn't pretty... but it was excellent. Huge, very generous entree. Excellent flavors. Our server was delightful, attentive without being a nuisance. Our water glasses never reached empty, and the stories about the birthday boy (and others) were never interrupted. We never made it to desserts. Too much food and amusing stories. CiBO: È andata benissimo, brava.

An extra treat was that they have bottles of spicy oil on the tables, so I was able to enjoy the crusts by slathering them with the tasty oil as though they were breadsticks. On the way out, after mentioning to the bartender how good the oil was, I was gifted a couple of condiment cuplets to-go, which was a thoughtful and nice touch and sort of made up for the server who wasn't particularly warm or informative as I had to ask about the specials and whether or not all the pasta is freshly made, etc. Heck, if you have a great selling point like homemade pasta, talk it up and get us to drooling! There is a variety of seating available, including outside and at the bar--bar has an inside section as well as outside which is a nice design for the lovely weather days. However, it's unfortunate that the outdoor seating is on such a busy traffic corner, so it's not the little retreat it would otherwise be. The lunchtime music was more like happy hour music, not conducive to conversation--maybe for the cellphones-at-the -table crowd it's okay, but being near the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Opera, why not add to the cultural experience of the area by celebrating its Italian origins with some Italian music? Even if just added as interludes during every few pieces, it would enhance the ambiance. We had to raise our voices to carry on our conversation, but it was manageable. However, when I came back the next week with a friend with a hearing impairment, it became more problematic. She tried adjusting her hearing aids, but the thumping rhythm kept taking precedence as we tried to find a quieter corner, but it wasn't possible as it is a small space and speakers were close to each table. I felt so bad that she couldn't enjoy a meal there--we both were so looking forward to having a fresh pasta dish, but just couldn't stay. Upon leaving, I felt I should let management know why so I waited to speak to him, offering constructive criticism about the sound level but he was not the least apologetic nor said he would take it under advisement, but was completely dismissive and harrumphy as though we were annoying problems and not potential regulars with suggestions worthy of consideration. How hard would it be to have a quieter area or make a speaker accessible with volume control? People, whether on the spectrum, with hearing impairments, or just lovers of good conversation deserve respect and when it is not given, will go elsewhere....
