A lady with a huge smile called out " come in we got happy hour, $7 drinks or $10 shot and beer!" The cafe is small but the energy was big. The music was pumping, we heard laughter inside, the lady with the huge smile greets us to sit, but in a way that was more like your coming home versus just to eat. We pick the outside table because is the best place to people watch and as small as this cafe is it has lots of seating that didn't feel cramped. We go for the margarita, because we always go for the margarita, and saw that there were two types, the margarita and margarita caprese. The waiter informed us that the margarita is with mozzarella which is American style vs the caprese is made with Italian cheese. So we chose the caprese and I'll be honest the cheese had a bit more flavor to it, but I couldn't tell a huge difference. The pizza itself was cooked perfectly! The crust held its own weight but soft enough to get the perfect fold, the sauce was seasoned perfectly and the topping was fresh. It was a damn good pizza. This amazing pizza and a couple of drinks was $29 and some change with was ok in my book! Pop in for some good food and good vibes if you're in the city. read more

We had the best surprise of the day at Caffe de la Venezia. We entered with no expectations and ended up pleasantly surprised. First, the customer service was outstanding! Our server was very friendly, seated us right away, and was patient with my daughters, who can be a bit shy when ordering their own food. The ravioli with vodka sauce, pizza, meatballs, and caprese salad were spectacular. Although the restaurant is small, it had the right ambiance and perfect lighting. Stumbled upon this restaurant in Little Italy while in New York. What a delicious treat!! We started with meatballs which were out of this WORLD! My hubby had the Chicken Marsala and I had Penne Primavera with Grilled Chicken. A small, quaint restaurant with outstanding food. Not quite four stars but for sure more than three stars. If Yelp allowed half stars, my rating definitely would be three and a half stars. So, despite having just eaten a large brunch at the Blue Box Cafe only 90 minutes prior (three of us shared the Breakfast at Tiffany's, the Tea at Tiffany's, and the quiche entree -- a good bit of food for three), we stopped in at Caffe De La Venezia after a visit to Handbag Heaven located right next door. Truth be told, we really just needed a quick bathroom break at a decent and clean place, so we decided to have a second lunch. We ordered the Zuppa Di Vongole (clams with zesty tomato sauce) and the Margherita Pizza. The clams were decent and the sauce was absolutely phenomenal. Really, really delicious sauce!!! The Margherita Pizza was extremely good, except I wasn't a fan at all of the orange colored cheese which tasted like sharp cheddar cheese. The other types of cheese on the pizza tasted great though. The pizza dough was delicious and it was baked perfectly. Service was very good. Pleasant server who was efficient and attentive. The ambiance is a very comfy and cozy neighborhood restaurant vibe. Prices were reasonable. The very small fee for credit card payment was also reasonable. We stopped by last minute , we came in were seated right away .. They start u off with some bread & olive oil , not bad. Drinks we gave the Sangria a try it was decent. For appetizer we gave the Bruschetta a try it was good nice taste to the tomatoes but it was to much between the bread & this, too much bread a bit too filling. Main dishes, Chicken Scarpariello this was very good, good tasting chicken & pasta, we also had the Carbonara pasta , this was a very good pasta dish. After dinner drink we had a Limonchelllo, good & a lighter way to end your meal. The service here was fenomenal! The staff were always attentive in making sure everything was correct where even the waiter took the time to remake a drink I ordered (NY Sour) when he found out it was made incorrectly The ambiance was lovely, we sat outside, the location is in little Italy! The food was a good portion, delicious and the Alfredo sauce was creamy! We had to ask for take home containers and the food was just as good reheated. It's the small unassuming restaurants that are the best finds! Within minutes of receiving our food at Venezia, a woman at a neighboring table began chatting with us. Turned out she lived nearby as did the other ladies at the table. Next thing we knew, we were all singing happy birthday and eating cake. Walked up to a lively atmosphere and friendly hostess. Served warm delicious bread to start. We ordered mozzarella sticks [they were triangles!:)] with yummy sauce. 12Aug2023 about 10pm - After a lovely night attending a play just around the block on Walker street four of us decided to find a place to have dinner in Little Italy. We were passing by Caffe De La Venezia when a sweet hostess invited us to stop and eat here she told us jokingly "if you don't like it you don't have to pay". It was approaching 10pm and it looked like they were closed or closing. That should have been a sign but we decided to eat there anyway. Shortly after we sat down we were approached by a older gentleman who was not friendly or inviting but asked us for our food orders, we told him we were still deciding on drinks when he informed us that we needed to hurry up and place our food order because the cook was going home. We ignored the older mans gruff demeanor and placed our food order. Then we were approached by a young male waiter, who appeared to be new as he was mumbling and very nervous. He asked for our drink orders and after he mumbled through the options he took our orders and left the table. We all took bets on whether-or-not he would get the drink orders correct. Before he left the table we did ask for water, which he returned promptly with on a tray that he struggled to balance on one arm. A few minutes later the young nervous waiter returned with a tray of drinks (10$ margaritas) As he was passing the drinks out his tray tipped spilling a margarita directly into the lap of one person in our party. He appologized and almost spilled the entire tray on the table. As we suspected he had also gotten the drink orders totally wrong (frozen vs on-the-rocks) (peach vs watermelon) and the like. The nice hostess rushed to help the person with margarita in her lap get cleaned up while the older gruff man returned and ordered us to move to another table. No apology, no sorry for the inconvenience, just "Move over there" was his response. We moved and never complained about the screwed up drink orders. Then our food came out, looking good "Reminder" the cook/chef (haha) was leaving soon, hence we were rushed to place our orders as soon as we sat down. I ordered chicken wings they were cooked to perfection but extremely salty almost inedible. Everyone else at the table said the food was satisfactory tasting but the manicotti was ice cold on the inside, guess the cook missed microwaving one order. (?) No one asked us how the food was or if we needed anything, we were the only customers and finished what we could of our meals and only wanted to get the heck out of there before some other calamity befell us. The nervous waiter returned with the check, no mention of a discount or no mention of removing the cost of the spilled drink from our bill. We paid the 128$ bill and left the restaurant feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. The staff needs customer service training, a little goes a long way. Great little sidewalk cafe off Mulberry street, just around from Chinatown. The manicotti and tortellini alla vodka were great after a long day traveling. Cold beer and good drinks, late happy hour helped out. Will be back here since it's fast, easy and tasty. read more

Please don't waste your time and money going here. The whole staff is extremely rude, the quality of drinks is really bad and they go ahead and add the tip they want to the bill automatically. When I asked the waiter what the extra $7 were for after having two drinks, he went along and told me that it was the required tip and it was a New York law. I went and told him that is not true at all. A tip is designed for the consumer to give money based on the services they received. The tip is not suppose to be imposed on the bill automatically. If I could give this place a rating of -100 I would. The owner should really look into fixing this, if not just close this place down. read more

If I could give this place a -10000 I would. I had a horrible experience with their staff. It all started when I called to make reservations, the person who picked up the phone was very rude, was rushing and said they were too busy to answer my questions and that they couldn't make reservations. I arrived, they told us it would be a 30-40 min wait, the place wasn't even as busy as the person on the phone made it seemed. We waited 10 mins for a table (not bad). After we sat down we tell them we had bought a pulsd deal they changed our waiter. They brought horrible mimosas! So watery and with ice! After we told them they didn't taste right he brought another one and that once was pure juice. It had 0 champagne! I told the waiter and he just rolled his eyes at us and turned around. Each round of drinks took 10-20 minutes to arrive. After we finished our meal our waiter asked if i wanted one more this is after being seated for 45 minutes and the deal had 1:45 minutes of unlimited mimosas .. he replied "you only have 10 mins" we said "no we have..." he walked away left me talking to myself. Comes back 5 mins later saying that he had it written down at the time it started. I told him to give me the time he had he looked at his paper and had nothing. Then goes "Ok, I have the same time you have how long did you say? (We had 45 mins left of bottomless brunch left) he then continues to tell me how bad Pulsd is and how they make no money because they take 50%. He then says "I'll bring you your drink" it was 3:06 when he said that and we got our drinks at 3:29. It was purely intentional. I asked another employee for the manager or the owner he says he's going to tell him to come over, I then see the manager say to him "no I'm not going" and he never came. Costumer service is a no go, server was not wearing face mask properly, would take it off when speaking. Asked for cups of water & server mentioned that people come and get water bottles instead because their cups are dirty. They brought me about 10 cups to try to make sure they are clean but they kept bringing me the cups, and of course, they continued to be dirty. The outside scene is cute though! Primarily what called me over to the location. He said the cups kept coming out dirty because his machine was leaving them like that.
