The real issue was the service, or lack of it, after our food was served. We ordered Dungeness crab for my daughter, but we weren't provided with the proper tools to crack the crab legs. We waited and waited for our server to come back, but there was absolutely no follow up. Eventually, my daughter went to another server and politely asked if she could get a crab cracker. To our surprise, she was told to ask her own server. The problem was that we couldn't find our server in the first place. At that point, I went to the front and explained that our table had essentially been left unattended and that we needed a crab tool. The staff member was nice and eventually brought one over, which I appreciated. However, even after that, there was still no follow up from our server. No check in, no drink refills, and even getting our check took an unnecessarily long time. The food itself was good, but good food doesn't make up for service this poor. I shouldn't have to track down staff just to get basic things we need to eat our meal, especially when we're already waiting at the table. There were lots of tables available in the large seating area! It's well lit and the decor is very unique, with "graffiti" writings on the wall from customers (I think). It gives it a charming feel! I ordered 1 lb of the headless shrimp for the lunch deal. It comes with 1 full potato cut in half, 1 piece of corn, and a couple pieces of sausage. I really liked that you could pick either head off or on at no extra charge. I also got the mild-medium house sauce that had a lot of flavor. It wasn't too spicy but had a little bit of a kick. The shrimp was cooked pretty well and most pieces peeled well with the exception of a couple. We also ordered the crab cake sliders from the lunch menu that came with 2 and some fries! It wasn't anything outstanding but the portion was pretty good for the price. Overall I think this place is really great for their lunch meal! The sauce was so good! The restaurant is large compared to Craw Shack and Boiling Crab. However, their restroom is in desperate need of attention because customers are hit with the smell of urine as we make our way to wash our hands there. They have ample room to set up a washing station outside of the restrooms so that hundred of customers aren't using the restroom hand washing only. It caused the restroom to get dirty and smelly. A new Cajun restaurant is always welcome in the Bay Area. Unfortunately it's another of those Vietnamese (probably) Cajun restaurant not an authentic one. However it's not bad. I do not recommend Cajun flavor (this is one my main complaint of those Vietnamese Cajun restaurants as they always mess up the actual Cajun flavor itself) but I can recommend the house special. It's not Cajun but it's flavorful. Be warned that it's extremely heavy with garlic so don't go on a date or have business meeting afterwards unless the other party loves your garlic breath. The shrimp (with head) is pretty good as are the sausages. I always preferred live crawfish but the ones I got don't have the flavors fully absorbed and not all the fresh crawfish are actually fresh (texture is off).
