The decor is nice with some exceptions. There are a several things here and there that need fixing, decor wise. When I walked in, I'm not exaggerating here, every table had varying amounts of crumbs having not been wiped down so I had to choose a table with the least amount. To the food. I got the fish, shrimp and chips. The following applies to all three. They had some spices but honestly they were mid at best. The breaded fish had a strange texture, kind of mushy. Fish is usually flakey right? The shrimp and chips/fries were mid as well.

Stopped by Sharkboy Fish and Chips today to give it a try. The shrimp were good size and cooked well, but didn't have the sweet taste of shrimp. Fish was crispy, a little lacking in flavor, and I think the batter is a cornmeal. 6.8/10. I really enjoyed the fries because they were crispy and flavorful 8/10. The sauces were decent and they have several to choose from.

Fish Tacos w/ Chips (fries) with Clam Chowder

This was my first time ever going to this restaurant, and it hit the spot perfectly!! We were craving some thing light and fish is always perfect and anything deep-fried is always amazing, may as well put the two together!! I have a stupid food, allergies, and luckily, for me, the gentleman working behind the counter, Hoodie, went and found their recipe book to find out the exact ingredients of their batter since I'm allergic to monosodium glutamate/MSG. He was such a sweetheart and went through the roller decks of recipes! I was in luck and none of their fish tacos or Clam Chowder had monosodium glutamate, but their signature House sauce was mixed with ranch and another sauce, so I couldn't have that since ranch has monosodium glutamate in it. My foodie friend and I decided to get two different dishes so we could share. I got the fish tacos which were delicious and I love their different assortment of sauces! We also got clam chowder and shrimp with french fries! Goodness everything was so delicious. we were full for the time being, but not overly full!! I really love the playful environment of the atmosphere. There were a bunch of games you could play with your family and I thought that was very inviting for a family like setting. At the front counter they also had little fidget spinners or pop its , You could take free of charge. Lol too funny!! I definitely wanna go back here and try more dishes and sauces!!

Fish thin compared to breading

My son really hyped this place up, so I was excited to try it. But unfortunately it was just okay for me. The 2 Hungry meals we ordered were drastically different, one plate was loaded up with fries and giant pieces of fish, and the other had a small handful of mushy fries with overly cooked fish that was so tiny, it was like an afterthought to the coating. They did throw an extra shrimp in the meal, but the grease used to fry it was dirty and the breading was falling off the shrimp. For $27, I just expect better for one plate. The star of the meal was the bang bang sauce. Not sure I'd even revisit this location after such disappointing food at a pretty hefty price tag.

Pros: - Fish was cooked to perfection. Seasoning was perfect and I love how it wasn't oily. - Shrimp was also cooked perfectly and a good size. - Fries were seasoned well and paired nicely with the fish. - Clam Chowder was loaded and was the perfect consistency. - Self serve kiosk made everything easy to view and order. Cons: N/A

This place is soooooo good. Tucked in a little area right off the 880 and First st. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, you feel so welcome. I went Friday night and it was so delicious it's all I could think about at work Saturday so I went again! The food is fresh and so delicious. Popping hot even when I picked up and went home with it. It's a must try!

Had an amazing experience here last weekend. I've had Shark boy bookmarked for quite some time and I'm really glad I finally got to try this place. The staff was so friendly and informed on their menu. My friend has an MSG allergy and they looked through all the ingredients to make sure she can have each dish/sauce. Hoody was especially nice and hospitable. I love the fish here, it's not battered it's breaded. Light and crispy, not too greasy. The fries are seasoned to perfection and I tried most of their condiments/ specialty sauces and they were all out of this world. For sides I would recommend: fries or their clam chowder which was perfect for this rainy weather. The vibes are more laid back and super family friendly! They have a little play area for the kids and what kid doesn't love a basket of fries ?! Can't wait to make this place part of my weekly rotation.

Came here since I was craving some fish and chips and seen this place popping up lately. You come in and it's okay looking inside not much wow factor. You order on the Kiosk. Ordered the garlic Parmesan fries, friend shrimp and the fried fish and chips. Food was good but taste got tiring after a while. They have sauces but it was okay as well. They didn't have napkins and when I asked for some the guy said I'll give you this much for now. Wasn't really clean the tables. Their garlic Parmesan fries were mid, it had too much fake garlic sauce on it and just over powering to be honest. Their potato salad tasted like it was from Walmart. Probably won't come again but glad I tried it.

I've been meaning to go to this place for months and I'm sad I didn't go when I first looked it up. The food is absolutely delicious. It is so crispy and so tasty that I'm shocked. Paired with the garlic butter, I can feel my heart telling me to stop but it's just so addicting. The service can be a bit slow because there's a lot of people ordering but you order on an iPad and they start right away. I recommend eating it there to get the maximum freshness and it should be enjoyed right away. Most fried things are best enjoyed sooner than rather later. Would definitely go here again!!

I came with a group of 5 and we shared a family platter. The platter came with fish, shrimp, and LOTS of fries. I enjoyed the variety of sauces they give you to dip your food. The fish had a good batter and wasent super dry on the inside but I did wish the fish was a little thicker. The fries were perfectly seasoned and fried for a nice crisp outside

Francis T.

5/5 crust and seasoning. The quantity is definitely less for the price compared so some places but the food was fire. The shrimp is so crispy you can even eat the tail. I wish they did give more sauce tho. Would I come back, yea. Service is always p good to and never really crowded.

crispy and fresh fried fish with great garlic fries and Cajun fries. Their fish and shrimp tacos were delicious too. Simple menu great food big portion, will back for other meals on the menu

Hella Hungry Fish & Shrimp Plate w/ Cajun Fries ($28.90)

Never had cajun style fish n chips til here! The food is pretty bomb! I would recommend the hella hungry fish & shrimp plate w/ cajun fries. The fish is lightly battered, seasoned well, flaky, with a light crisp. The shrimps were so plump with a tasty batter. A bit less crispy than the fish though. The fish sandwich & shrimp slider weren't bad but the bread was a little too much/sweet for me. My friends liked it though! The onion rings & clam chowder are so slept on. Onion rings were so so crispy & they were super generous with the clams in the chowder. Sauces here were all tasty and house made. Quick service! They got everything out all at once and pretty fast, especially given we ordered so much and they were busy already. Place itself is very casual and a great spot to eat good and chat. I would definitely come back for the fried fish, shrimp, onion rings, and clam chowder!

Bbq sauce is ok the sweet side by balances well with a few drops of hot sauce. Portions are very health. The beans were delicious and almost reminded me of chili. Mac and cheese was on point. Overall I highly recommend checking them out. Whether you are in the area or just looking for a great bbq joint in the bay, Jackie's place won't disappoint. For the vegetarians, try their jackfruit "pulled pork" bowl! Also their desserts selection is amazing. Will have to come back to try their peach cobbler and lemon pie!

I tried a good variety of the menu, Shrimp & Grits, Pulled Pork Benedict, Chicken & Waffles, Banana Nutella Churro Waffle, and Cornbread and Coffee cake. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and there was a good portion of them. Really flavorful dish. Other favorite was the Pulled Pork Benedict and Chicken & Waffles. Great portions and flavor on each. The Banana Nutella Churro Waffle was a little decadent and sweet for me, but I would've loved that dish when I was younger, and probably could've eaten the whole thing too. Service was friendly and food didn't take long to come out. Love that they have indoor and outdoor seating, we opted for inside this time, but would definitely pick outside on a nice day!

Are we really at a point where people are just so accustomed to average food such that mediocre eateries are terrific to them? I came across this food truck at an Off the Grid event. I actually was excited to try this food truck as the photos on their Yelp page looked good... first mistake. The photos are incredibly outdated as this truck no longer serve mac and cheese nor collard greens, which are two dishes that I enjoy. Even their main fried chicken and waffle menu has gone from about ten items down to five. Nevertheless, I decided to get a fried chicken and waffle sandwich and ordered the Spicy and I Know It. It was honestly the saddest sandwich I have ever seen. The waffle was barely the same quality as what you would get at the continental breakfast served at your local inn. The cheese was sliced processed cheese that you get at Safeway and the fried chicken was worse than what you get at KFC. The cherry on top was that the maple syrup that they gave you with the waffles was a packaged condiment like what you would get at a fast food joint. I am truly shocked at the almost perfect score of this truck. Whether I give a place a perfect or a mediocre rating, I still somewhat understand the overall rating but in the case, I am truly lost.

A+ except it did take them a long time to bring the check and we had to flag the guy down to get it. Otherwise attentive and the meal was reasonably well coursed. They let us split dishes and didn't give us a bad time about it. Food... Also an A+. I'm super picky and tend to not like to venture off the beaten path for different kinds of ethnic foods but everything here that we had was delicious. We split the salad with pear and goat cheese, and except for a couple of decayed pieces of spring mix, which is always a problem with that stuff it was delicious. The dressing was crisp and citrusy. We split the jambalaya with chicken and it was interesting in that it was basically a large scoop of rice with a good sized piece of chicken on the side, which you had to cut up, which is not how I've seen jambalaya prepared before, but it worked. The chicken was insanely good, and the rice also was very delicious, heavy on the bell peppers. We also tried the beef empanadas and the chimichurri sauce was insanely good. We wanted to get beignets, but they were out and none of the other desserts appealed to me so we didn't do dessert. We ordered a French 75 cocktail and the Pinot Noir wine and both were very nice )although pro tip French 75 are supposed to have a lemon peel in them and ours didn't). There is a parking lot and they also have a few tables outside although I don't think anybody would really choose to sit there since it's in the middle of the parking lot and the plants are too low to hide that fact.
